This isn't limited only to RUclipsrs it's the same thing for music artists and their record companies. Most likely also authors and their book publishers
More or less, it's all a rip off. Publishing is the second to show business in malignity. Watch the movie Julie & Julia, there you can see the whole ordeal, back in the day.
not just music artists but regular digital artists as well. People undervalue our work way too much as if we make complex drawings/ 3D art in a matter of minutes
I've only watched Muta for the past couple years but I've never found him to be a goofy moron. I've actually learned a great deal from watching his videos
i have a love for cyber security , i want to make it my job i wish to learn it. when i found muta it was a fun guy exploring the deep web, but then i found his technical videos, explaining the 'meat' of technology and it immediately sparked a love of cyber security. Muta is not only a creator in my eyes but a mentor, i've learned so much because of him and actually dodged an account hijacking attempt only because of the common sense i built up because of his explanations.
Ah cry me a river man. If content creators are so soft and naive that they get taken advantage of, they would never be able to survive in the real world anyway
Yeah, one of my NFS modding videos got taken down according to them it's hArMfuL cOntEnT, they rejected my appeal. I still don't know how bunch of pixels is offensive.
@fours04 🇬🇧 (the second account) I like how what the writer this bot's comment did not have the patience of thinking through what they were writing before actually writing it.
While I agree with the overall premise of the video, I think the Froste situation was portrayed poorly. And even the clips selected were awful in portraying what went down. Froste, during his time at 100T, streamed an average of 40 hours or less A MONTH. He did less work in a month than most people do in a week, while being paid more than most people. On top of this, 100T took none of their stream ad/sub revenue, meaning to make more money, he had to stream (which was kinda the whole point of being signed), but he didn't
I was wondering if Muta knew about this, or if he’s just selecting these clips to not get into that whole argument but yes he didn’t stream, he’d post he got no food etc and then post himself having huge parties so it’s really not the best clear picture but I hope muta knows and was just talking about this particular topic but still
This is what I hate about these "Controversies", it's aimed at the wrong place. Buhu RUclipsrs and streamers earning 1000x more than the average low-wage worker for putting in 1/10th of the effort. Why not realize that the viewers and fans are getting scammed and focus on how these mega corps can earn such obscene amount of money? I love how Mudahar and other RUclipsrs says "well your career won't last forever so we must fight for our rights" while having multi-million sums on their bank account in their 20s.
@@treali He is caring for people not as fortunate as himself. Most people who make it big completely ignore average people. Also, to make money you better understand the average person, or you won't have the knowledge to provide the best service. Someone being rich does not make them incapable of understanding, also he started as a normal person and worked REALLY hard, he isn't a star celebrity who has never worked hard.
5:25 I would agree, but as a graduate from a business school they really don’t prepare you for anything at 18. You are an adult you should be prepared is not reality. That’s the ideal situation sure, but how can the average 20 year old be prepared when they can’t even sign a contract till 18. They don’t have any entry level business law course explains contracts before 18.
@@09f9 who’s gonna tell these 16-17 year olds what the entertainment industry is like? YT isn’t old enough that many kids have parents or uncles or aunts who are RUclipsrs to talk to. It’s dog-eat-dog, but these kids don’t have any mentors to explain the games to them unless they’re enormously lucky.
@@09f9 yeah it’s actually completely different, because “running off to Hollywood” actually puts you geographically in the center of a community of people who know the industry from working in it themselves or being agents to those people. There’s a ton of general knowledge of the inner workings and shenanigans of the entertainment industry in Hollywood & Los Angeles because of pure geography, just like there’s a lot understood about the auto industry in Detroit or the federal government in Washington. RUclipsrs don’t have to “run off” to anywhere, and therefore may never ever gain knowledge from any kind of community that can inform them of how things really work or on how to find the right legal help. That may be easy to come by in Tinseltown or easier even in places like Nashville or Atlanta, but it’s not going to be anywhere near as easy to find a skilled entertainment lawyer if you’re in Cleveland or Denver, and you’re going to see a whole lot more kids duped into garbage deals because there’s no obvious place to find successful RUclipsrs who you can even pay for advice. And the nuances of YT are not even the same as those of traditional film or television, so there’s not 100 years of knowledge on this, maybe only 10 or so if you’re lucky, and it’s geographically spread all over the world, not concentrated in a few major cities. There’s a LOT of room for shenanigans and predation in a very disorganized community. The entertainment industry in LA and NYC also has a number of unions that just don’t exist much in vast swaths of the country.
My first ever sponsor deal was for nordvpn on a video that would end up getting over a million views. They only paid me $250 dollars. Still probably one of the greatest screw ups I made on my entire time on this site.
Oh, this sounds like a creator with some meaningful input on the topic of youtubers being ripped off, let's go look at their channel to find out more about them. "I hate Britain". Truly some marketing genius right there.
I'm learning about ethical hacking, and almost every aspect of performing penetration tests for companies and other people involves making sure you have all of your bases covered, legally. You can't even touch the devices you are performing forensics or tests on without the proper authorization and documentation. Not only do we have to worry about legal stuff, we have to worry about making sure our crap is together and we know exactly what we're doing. One mistake could lead to a huge problem. Muta's right. Don't do anything in life without making sure you know what you're doing.
@@jjj8317 well, you have to know the system you are hacking inside and out, you have to talk to people to to stay in the loop and know about what you can exploit and what has been patched, it's not easy.

@@iamlucidess That's basically what Froste did. He was contracted with them for roughly 2 years to stream. Over that course, his average streaming time was 40 hours a month. You know, a fulltime job does that in a week not counting overtime. It's pathetic how little he actually streamed and he's trying to blame it on the org that it didn't work out. That comes out to less than 2 hours a day over the stretch of time he was with them assuming a 5 day work week.
@@HungryMoosey No matter how you slice it, NadeShot DID give them a huge opportunity to be associated with 100T and bringing them brand deals they likely wouldn't have obtained if they were averaging 100-200 views a stream before they joined. You can't spin it as if they weren't presented with a big opportunity. If they actually streamed 8 hours a day multiple days a week like every well known streamer does(which they were being paid to do), then they would have very possibly been highly successful. Just the fact that they were averaging 100-200 views already put them in the top few % of twitch streamers. All they had to do was capitalize on the opportunity of not having to worry about trying to balance having a 9-5 while also streaming and their lives would have been all for the better.
20 or not I think it’s still fair to call out predatory practices. Like student loans, military recruitment, and the film/music industry, they’re spend millions on research to understand who they can easily manipulate and how
I feel like It's sounds good to say "get a lawyer", but most people can't afford that advice when starting out. Everyone hates lawyers (professionally not personally), and noone wants or should want some overcharged advice unless they must to. I understand that people should read the fine print then according to that point, but we all know that there's a lot of points that are added to that list later that screws over the client of said deal anyways. Making these deals are always predatory at best, so there's no real point to understanding the whole document besides the pricing/profit from said deal.
truth, and to add onto this point, if a content creator starts to get too uppity with their demands and lawyering up, wouldn't the response from the brand be to just throw the deal out and go to any of the other thousands of content creators willing to bend over and take it? it seems like you're dammed if you do, but even more damned if you don't, oh and now you have to pay a lawyer for their time too. it just sucks all around.
You're thinking of hiring a lawyer firm to handle a court case for you. That's where it gets expensive. Hiring a lawyer to look over a contract for you won't take more than an hour or so which will still cost you money but not anywhere near what you think people can't afford.
Having a lawyer read over a contract is not as expensive as you might think, but you're right. Ultimately you should never sign a contract you don't understand.
Just because people are young and inexperienced doesn't mean that people/companies should take advantage of you. Things can and should be better. And the "world of business" shouldn't use people up and spit them out as if they're napkins. Treating people with respect and helping each other should be the goal. We shouldn't accept that people will mistreat you and just figure "that's the way the world works". No, it doesn't and it doesn't have to continue.
It's not easy though sadly there will always be people that take advantage of you. If you try to run a nice company that doesn't take advantage of anyone chances are those same workers will be taking advantage of your kindness. Just like in school you see a disgusting amount of school bullies It's because people don't care for others. Empathy for others has always been fairly rare. Some woman has cancer? donate a bunch so she can take her child to Disneyland before she dies, her family is suffering lots of medical bills as well, oops turns out she was lying to everyone all along using the donation money and her parents retirement fund to purchase painkillers instead of paying fake hospital bills she didn't have. Homeless guy needs help? Nope it was just a couple using this homeless guy to earn money from kind hearted people. Hungry child? Parents takes the food money you give them to buy drugs. That's why everyone tends to go "that's the way the world works" nobody wants it to be like this but If you're not extremely cold hearted to others, You'll be taken advantage of. If 6 people went into business together and 5 of them were fair and did everything for the group and then 1 person chose to rip off the other 5 ending in the 5 being in extreme debt and the 1 being rich you now have 5 very angry people that teach anyone they meet how trusting people is bad. Yeah 1 scum of the earth loser can ruin 5 lives and it's happened so much in life that nobody trusts anybody.
"No it doesn't and it doesn't have to continue" I mean.. what is is the solution? The only way I could ever see this being fixed is if all content creators publically showed the scummy offers they received in order to lower the company's public perception, but in doing that I'd imagine that the other companies would then avoid them, so the creators would presumably be shooting themselves in the foot by doing so. I know absolutely zero about any of this so I'm just shooting in the dark here, but am I wrong?
a lot of people will sell themselves short because they wont ever know what life would be like if they dont take that shot and keep waiting, hence why selling early is what they do, it doesn't end up great in most cases but in some cases, its a life changer
To be honest, while organizations are very very predatory in general, taking 85/15 split (industry standard) is absurd especially for how little the org actually does compared to the creator, I feel Froste is generally mostly entirely to blame in this situation. Yeah, it sucks, but Nadeshot came with the receipts. You're hired to do a job you should be doing that job. Froste worked/streamed 40 hours a month or less. That's what most average working people put in hours in a single week. Not to mention they didn't do RUclips content as they were supposed to because "It just didn't get views" in his own words. They specifically chose the most expensive house on the market. They got to choose their own living situation and ON FROSTES OWN STREAM he pulled up zillow to make a point about how expensive property is in that area and most results were far less expensive than the house they ended up choosing themselves. Also this was post covid so I can only imagine things were cheaper pre covid as well. not to mention Froste consistently ate out and used services like DoorDash and Ubereats which are notoriously expensive
Pretty much this wholw video in a nutshell. Good read, really dont rely your income on an unreliable business like youtube. And 40 hours/month? Kinda suprised he can manage 4 figures with those kind of hours
I think Mista GG put it very well during his Manscaped video, you have to know your worth or you’re absolutely screwed. The biggest problems is it’s hard to know what people should get paid, not many RUclipsrs disclose this information and it’s a very bad situation IMO.
85/15 isn't industry standard, at least not according to what some other actual streamers have said (Mizkif/XQC). Industry standard they said was 15-25%. Though the split also depends on what else the org does for the streamer, like if they have a content house and they're covering rent, the % will be higher for example.
@@Sephiroso. newsflash 15/25% is what the streamer keeps out of the deal. So yes, industry standard when any talent signs with an org. Obviously there are exceptions and there are creators such as Critikal/Charlie/Penguinz0 who have gone out of their way to create a business helping streamers find sponsors that generally give the creator significantly larger takes but 80/20 85/15 is very much the norm
I saw a video about this by KiraTV. It’s a good video where Kira explains his growth of his channel and all the ways people try to scam you out of sponsorship money.

We need Net neutrality back, you know data is data no fast lanes, platforms are not publishers. Those were the days we still had a reason to be hopeful.
Hosting data costs money, Google simply allows creators to trade their intellectual property for free (conditional) hosting on their private platform. Anybody is still able to pay for their own hosting and keep the rights to their intellectual property. If said content was never independently hosted, it was never independent to begin with so calling youtubers "independent online creators" is an outright lie.

That depends on whether they had any education, also some of "content creators" do use underage employees themselves. Mutahar, you did said it yourself that you're incredibly lucky you live in a middle class family (in Canada) but others are not the same. Particularly in the US there have been defunded education in their public school systems because the rich want subsidies for their private schools (which many don't have classes). A 20 year old is still a stupid, irresponsible, kid and thats OKAY. They did take advantage of a kid. Taking anything more than 30% of revenue is taking advantage of someone.
@@Brucifer2 I don't know how much of people finishing growing up at 25 is pertinent to this conversation. What's importnat is making sure kids recieve the education to perfomr well in society, a 14 year old can work and go to school, and that experiecne can help them when they are 21 in maintaingin their own businesses, maybe we don't fully develop because of genetics or simply because many people are too cuddled and their ability to things on their own get "atrophied" for a lack of a better word

Cus if it were about the guy who was 21 or something that ran over ppl and killed them, you will be disagree if he says he was just a kid and take no responsibility over it.
Yeah true but they target kids getting out of high school. Imagine being 19 and promised to live in a mansion in California and promised the moon by creaters you looked up to. It's all just predatory.
one thing i didnt see noted was in the stream and allegations the whole rent thing came into question and they outright said that the group had full control over where to live meaning they chose a home that was above their pay grade "again young and dumb", a quick search of the area will yeild many suitable properties to rent at much lower rates than that.

While I think it is the fault of people who get taken advantage of most of the time. That doesn't mean we shouldn't blame the people who are doing the scamming.
You're missing like half the story. 100t didn't force them to move into the 10k a month house. They didn't have to go to LA at all it was just recommended. They chose that expensive house when there were good options around for half the cost. 100t didn't bring in a group that wasn't pulling sufficient numbers. 100 avg concurrent viewers is already a good amount and means you probably have hundreds of subs. Some of the guys just stopped streaming when they got to LA. And lastly it was 4 guys each making 60k a year so they could actually afford the 10k house if they were smarter with their money. And lastly while the terms of their contract was absolutely predatory there is a difference between taking a large cut of sponsorship deals and taking a large cut of total revenue like a MCN would. So it's my opinion that the mob mostly brought the situation on themselves, although the issue of predatory middleman companies is absolutely a problem it was a very small part of the issue being discussed.
My gut feeling says the 85% retained is so if these streamers got sold off to RUclips or some massive deal goes through they'd end up exercising that option. Though, I see wrong doing on both sides easily.
Always read the bottomline of your contract. Rank and file office jobs only have a few things you need to look out for like unpaid overtime. But when it comes to content creators and advertisers, well, there's a lot you need to check as they can effectively own your soul.
I like to extend this to the ENTIRE entertainment industry. A similar thing in the music industry can happen to artists that have millions of streams on Spotify or a lot of records sold. Usually they get paid last die to pay cuts being distributed out to record labels, publishers, songwriters, producers, etc. first.
here is the thing with companies who take 80% of the revenue, do they edit your stuff? do the upload your stuff? if bith answers are no, then they can get 20% of the funding, MAX, simply because you have to do all the work, 60 40 deal could also be ok, but more money to them would be a no go at all
I mean, once you are 18 it's up to you according to law but that doesn't mean our brains are fully developed yet, which they aren't; and preying on young people who haven't experienced the real world at all yet is shitty and blaming them because they are 20 and are therefore an "adult" as labeled by society is bullshit and cringe.
Extremely based statement. These idiots in this comment section will put the blame on 20 year old kids for getting scammed, but then turn around and cry as loud as they can when they fall for the next crypto/Ponzi/MLM scam, even though they are in their 40s.
@Just Looking okay, cool, with aftersight and experience (or viewing other people's experiences) you can make that informed decision; but that's the point. You need to HAVE that experience/knowledge to be able to decide to get a lawyer. You can't just will that concept into your head; it needs to be taught to you one way or another.
@Kavetion I have finally decided to clean my room after like 3 months of chaos.. and even after my room is complete clean, I couldn't find a single entity that asked but surprisingly I found none.
Both sides should have done better, lawyers who are confident about contractual subjects would be standard procedure. But the other side of taking them on, knowing they're not particularly profitable whilst still being young and green in this stuff. Not to mention the cuts on contracts, sure, 2 out of 3 are 65%, but that doesn't mean much if the contract isn't worth alot, and what about the other one, if they'd be strong in their case, they'd give that info aswell. Easily avoided situation where none won

There was this channel about 80s music and gear. Espen Kraft. It completely disappeared. Reddit says somebody hacked him. Such a sad moment, man... Everything is just gone... :(
As a 21 year old im able to at the very least think critically. Hmm my contract says they get 85% of my revenue, its their choice to sign it and id say no f that. Idk how you sign a contract, clearly dont read any of it, then blame them because you didnt read it. Contracts are serious things and corps are not gonna babysit you. At the point of signing that contract they became employees, and its not the boss's job to be your parent. May not be the smartest, but atleast smart enough to know contracts are almost never in favor of the one they are being proposed to. Age is no excuse unless it was a minor.
Welp, this is exactly why I emphasize that you shouldn't rely on RUclips/twitch as an actual job. Use it as a stepstone to bigger and better things, don't subject yourself to staying here, being an AMATURE film maker. As a kid, I always dreamed about making RUclips videos, but now, it's nothing but algorithms and regurgitating content from different people. I don't see this as a surprise at all, youtubers are some of the stupidest people around, just above people who make money off tiktok. In the big aspect of it all, you're just another pawn bringing people to the platform. The more time you spend on here, the more revenue they claim. They never cared about you or the creators, and it all started showing whenever the whole fiasco happened a few years ago with the kids thing (something about demonetizing videos that were too mature or something?) It's only going to get worse and worse. Stop making this your only option and do actual work. This ain't it. Take your teams and actually provide a service more than just temporary entertainment. You're going to get taken advantage of if you stay. These videos criticizing RUclips and sponsors are NEVER going to end if you keep this shit as your job.
the only thing I think you might have missed is they got to choose their own house. They didn't have to pick a 10k house and I think Frostee even admitted that
Should have commented on the hours streamed per week by those dudes. Froste lost any sympathy from me once I saw that he averaged 9 hours a week during the TWO YEARS he was in 100T LMFAO
Surely that should be enough to pay for a mini-mansion and a generally extravagant lifestyle that minimum wage workers juggling 3 jobs could only dream of?
More creators need to know about unconscionable conduct laws. So many companies could be done for it in court but get away with it because not enough people know about it.
Wait lmao why are people actually taking Froste's side in this? The guy never streamed and expected to be paid 6 figures. Literally the easiest job on the planet and the guy couldn't be fucked to turn on his camera and play video games. "Didn't have money for food" Meanwhile there's photos of literally hundreds of dollars worth of takeout packages in his room. give me a break lmfao
Because when people do videos like this that leave out all the details that really make Froste look bad, they assume the org was entirely in the wrong. They don't know that Froste averaged at most ~40 hours a month of streaming which is ridiculously low considering a fulltime job does that in a week with 0 overtime. Other people do that in 3-4 days even depending on their field of work.
I dont think its that they're on Froste's side, more against the agency. "We didnt take 95% of revenue, only 85" Like ffs dude, this kindve agency shouldnt be making more than 30% (and even thats being generous) Froste sounds whiney, but at the same time it would be hard to get motivation to stream when im getting ripped off and barely able to afford housing and probably working a normal 9 to 5 to cover the difference, which yeah big woop a normal job, but its a normal job IN CALIFORNIA. Where a month of sh*tty housing is like 5000 including rent/utilities. Most 9 to 5s only make about 2000 a month (again, thats generous), everyone ive ever met from Cali are only able to do it because they have tons of roomates, making it extra cramped as well.
I don't feel bad for froste at all. Dude streamed an equivalent of 2 hours a day in the ~2 years he was contracted with 100T. That's assuming a 5 day work week by the way. That's absolutely fucking pathetic. There were pictures of his room too and dude was eating ordering out every single day. He came off as a whiny entitled kid who's mad he didn't make it big into the streaming world and the blame is on himself for not putting in the work. 100T's rev split with sponsors is pretty shitty and i've heard industry standard for orgs is closer to 15-25%, but at the end of the day Froste is the one who accepted those conditions.
Same, but I wouldn’t dare to ask more than fair share either. Otherwise you would get bad reputation once if they know how shitty the deal actually is.
I don't get how so many of these people get scammed when Google is *right there.* It's not gonna fix everything but there's enough advice to get you going from *both* sides, so why is there so much fallout? There's even calculators to help you get an estimate of how much you should be charging, these companies are saving *millions upon billions* by going to content creators so no one should feel like they're asking for too much.
As a miniscule tiny RUclipsr with around 1400 subscribers I have gotten a few dozen emails and I can never judge which one is really a scam or a potential offer all I know is to be extremely wary I have never clicked on any link I have messaged the people back a couple of times just with a question mark telling them I'm interested and tell me more but that's about it
I think the statement that when u turn 18 your a adult that's such bs If I can't buy Weed, alcohol, or nicotine then I don't want you trying to convince I'm old enough to do what I "want" when thats absolutely not the case I don't have the same rights as a 21 year old but I'm still considered a adult like them so ridiculous
personally i think its a little erroneous to claim that one you turn 18 the fault is all, or even mostly on you the brain still is developing up until 21 and the quick stardom that comes with content creation makes it hard to personally develop as you grow and to know to be wary of stuff like this so i dont think frosty is mostly to blame here although i dont really know anything about the guy and how long he has been doin this
Froste is entirely to blame. The dude just did not work and specifically chose a very expensive house instead of a more affordable house nearby. These companies are predatory, don't get me wrong. But Froste was lazy and entitled
Always know your in for a trip when it's a SomeOrdinaryGamers upload, and muta doesn't lie *your fav will fall off* huff on that copium if you must but that is indeed a fact thems the breaks plain and simple. So, enjoy the good times while they last given it's not the creators fault we all do move on and just their content doesn't hit the same or you find them interesting *hit unsubscribe* and move on not that deep i've done it for the way too many years i've been watching videos on this platform which i have since 2006 but heavily since 2008. RIP to many iconic bangers lost to time and art forms mainly youtube poops and the montages using linkin park which still imo sit at peek content and got better CG then she-hulk lmao.
I don't think RUclips can really do anything about it since all these scam organizations do is get people sponsorships and take 80% of the sponsor money. It all takes place outside of RUclips.
So, I'm really far from the largest esports fan in general; very casual gamer that watches from afar and through friends -- but, this whole thing made 100T look a even better in most people's eyes, including my own. I watched both of Matt & Froste's streams here and Froste disproved himself live on air multiple times, particularly when he pulls up current Zillow listings, but also the number of times he goes "that's cap" or "why should I provide proof?" immediately resulted in people that, at first, wanted to vouch for him, including me, losing any desire to back him up. To me, nearly all of his "evidence" for these claims relied on "trust me bro" energy and that didn't do him any favors. The other thing here is that he even got the 85% claim wrong and claimed it was 95% (which he did admit was untrue during his stream), and that's the most contentious segment about these claims. I think we can all unanimously agree that a contractual agreement of 100T keeping 85% with multiple people having to share the remainder of that isn't fair and I do believe that could have been a lot lower, but the other side of the coin here is Matt said in his stream "2 of the 3 deals they took home 65%". Keep in mind, that's more than quadruple what The Mob were contractually supposed to being paid out, on top of salary, in a house that The Mob chose to live in. Froste said in his stream that 100T did a ton of legwork to help them locate a house. The Mob had ultimate final say on which house they wanted to live in and they chose the house with $10k rent. For creators that were given such a huge opportunity to be linked to a Tier 1 org because they're good at Twitter and to have their faces broadcasted to the world in videos and events straight from the Org seems, to me, a huge opportunity for these individuals to get an astronomical head start in the industry. When you have people like Froste streaming 40hrs a month per his stream specs and expecting to be fed grapes from 100T, it's immature and it's lazy, especially noted that this is in a professional environment where work ethic and drive to succeed is notably necessary. Nadeshot compared their stream hrs and as a guy running every aspect of a $100+M company, he still streamed more than a 20yo dude living in LA claiming he can't afford to eat while there's a photo online of Froste's room where he has two PCs and a room full of delivered fast food bags....again, Froste's credibility isn't holding up. Sure, if you're paying $50 a meal because you're doordashing every meal of yours in LA, of course you're gonna run out of money man -- I've made that same mistake. This happens when you have 20yo kids that expect opportunities like this to just cover them for life just because they're there. Essentially, it's easy to get lazy here. And yes, when you stream a week out of a month's worth of work, that's laziness. Again, coming from someone who is barely a casual esports fan, but the way I see this, Nadeshot won the debate here. Certainly wish Froste the best here, but the bridges he's burned in all of this have far outweighed any benefit he thought this was going to bring him. EDIT: I of course don't mean for any of this to be malicious or in-defense of one party vs the other. This is entirely just my vision of the issue here from the information I've seen and gathered across the internet.

Let's be real here. The relationship between RUclips and content creators is abusive. Content creators are a soft target at this point.

So bro worked almost no hours and wonders why he ain't getting paid lmao

@@Sephiroso. spitting facts
getting a lawyer to go over a contract with you isnt expensive and the company who wrote it is not going to know unless you tell them
Having a lawyer read over a contract is not as expensive as you might think, but you're right.
"No it doesn't and it doesn't have to continue"
I mean.. what is is the solution?
Also this was post covid so I can only imagine things were cheaper pre covid as well.
not to mention Froste consistently ate out and used services like DoorDash and Ubereats which are notoriously expensive
this.

Predatory corporates should never be excused on the basis of a client's "stupidity" or "ignorance"

Some of the most successful companies or even business men knows how to get fair share and make money back. It just shows how little that those esports team actually know how to do just that.
Yeah that's my main issue with the educational system. Doesn't teach you proper life skills, just how to pass an exam
@@Brucifer2 I don't agree with the statement that 20 y.o. is still a kid when you can be legally be put in jail or have trouble with laws when you reach 18. It's also sound like deflecting the responsibility. Tho I think it's better if the companies or whatever they are make the agreement clear in the paper on how much revenue and so on.
Cus if it were about the guy who was 21 or something that ran over ppl and killed them, you will be disagree if he says he was just a kid and take no responsibility over it.
Overall making deals with big companies is a huge risk to your youtube channel.

Sounds like they are quoting someone, or are purposefully failing to remember a quote.
I'm already scammed by not watching enough muta.
I can guarantee you this..

Always read the bottomline of your contract. Rank and file office jobs only have a few things you need to look out for like unpaid overtime. But when it comes to content creators and advertisers, well, there's a lot you need to check as they can effectively own your soul.
With contract law, you can have two weeks legally in the UK to consider signing a contract... Hope this helps
I like to extend this to the ENTIRE entertainment industry. A similar thing in the music industry can happen to artists that have millions of streams on Spotify or a lot of records sold. Usually they get paid last die to pay cuts being distributed out to record labels, publishers, songwriters, producers, etc. first.

The cut at 7:51 was pretty hilarious.

I wish I had known to consult contracts with a lawyer before signing when I was in my early 20s. Muta is spitting facts here when it comes to that.
This was one of the best takes on this situation I’ve heard
Lol I'm supposed to feel bad for someone that works 40 hours a month
I dont think its that they're on Froste's side, more against the agency.
"We didnt take 95% of revenue, only 85"
Like ffs dude, this kindve agency shouldnt be making more than 30% (and even thats being generous)
Froste sounds whiney, but at the same time it would be hard to get motivation to stream when im getting ripped off and barely able to afford housing and probably working a normal 9 to 5 to cover the difference, which yeah big woop a normal job, but its a normal job IN CALIFORNIA. Where a month of sh*tty housing is like 5000 including rent/utilities. Most 9 to 5s only make about 2000 a month (again, thats generous), everyone ive ever met from Cali are only able to do it because they have tons of roomates, making it extra cramped as well.
You should see the screenshot of froste's setup. Man had like 40+ Doordarsh deliveries just sitting on the floor
Question: Should you NEVER open attached files in emails, or is there a safe and proper way to view them?
if i was 100T, i wouldnt be paying the people who refused to work more either.
Same, but I wouldn’t dare to ask more than fair share either. Otherwise you would get bad reputation once if they know how shitty the deal actually is.
I like how 100 thieves is trying to play it off like they aren’t thieves…
I don't get how so many of these people get scammed when Google is *right there.* It's not gonna fix everything but there's enough advice to get you going from *both* sides, so why is there so much fallout? There's even calculators to help you get an estimate of how much you should be charging, these companies are saving *millions upon billions* by going to content creators so no one should feel like they're asking for too much.

Back from the weekend Babe.
As a miniscule tiny RUclipsr with around 1400 subscribers I have gotten a few dozen emails and I can never judge which one is really a scam or a potential offer all I know is to be extremely wary I have never clicked on any link I have messaged the people back a couple of times just with a question mark telling them I'm interested and tell me more but that's about it
I think the statement that when u turn 18 your a adult that's such bs If I can't buy Weed, alcohol, or nicotine then I don't want you trying to convince I'm old enough to do what I "want" when thats absolutely not the case I don't have the same rights as a 21 year old but I'm still considered a adult like them so ridiculous
personally i think its a little erroneous to claim that one you turn 18 the fault is all, or even mostly on you
the brain still is developing up until 21 and the quick stardom that comes with content creation makes it hard to personally develop as you grow and to know to be wary of stuff like this
so i dont think frosty is mostly to blame here although i dont really know anything about the guy and how long he has been doin this
Froste is entirely to blame. The dude just did not work and specifically chose a very expensive house instead of a more affordable house nearby. These companies are predatory, don't get me wrong. But Froste was lazy and entitled

Finally some good night content.
