The first time I entered a ZARA store I thought who wears these car covers? Turned out, a lot of people! Their S size will fit an elephant and her child together and will still have some room left. When I asked about a 32 size jeans, the way they looked at me like I was from another planet! Supposedly, super oversized apparels are current fashion trend. I don't know. If I ever need a curtain that will double down as a blanket, a grocery bag, a bedsheet, and a 50 inch tv cover I will visit their store again and buy a tshirt there.
These foreign brands are based on data of Europe and America. They hv no interest in Indian consumer and also Indians themselves who consume these demand for it.

One is literally an entire building near flora fountain, Mumbai. But there were only 2-3 staff on the entire floor. And they were all just acting busy but not really attending anyone. Same with the other 2 outlets in malls. One would be lucky if they could get hold of a staff.

Zara is still a Spanish company, Tta only own 49% of Zara India, not the entire company. Indians should buy from local brands and local tailors... Its the least we can do at a personal level to help our country.

The technology part is something that all companies use. Zara doesn’t succeed because of this they succeed because of the material. The designs and material is the same as what premium brands use but the difference is premium brands sell at 20x the cost of manufacturing the clothes whereas Zara charges 5x this makes customers get premium feel for clothes and get value. Value addition is the only reason for Zara to succeed. H&M,primark don’t use premium material which is why they have 40% wastage. Zara has 10% wastage which makes them more profitable.
yes,, that's the business model. Their whole model was based on not finding the same collection each time to come to their offline stores. So, their clothes aren't meant to last. Zara has another section which are pricier and long lasting quality , but forms a small part of their inventory. TBH, any clothes these days irrespective of their brands are not meant to last. Unless, one is able to shell out good money for it.

With all due respect, Zara is not a luxury brand. Indians and other people in Asia may consider it to be a luxury brand but the reality is, it is just a low quality fast fashion brand who copy the designs of real luxury brands and mass produce it at lower prices.
