Yes, you are right-the removal of the 3 springs is to eliminate the torque limiter (AKA slipper clutch), which will allow for a smoother ride. Also yes, this will work for the ZX-10R 2008-2010 as well
Brock have you done any performance testing to verify the results? Would be nice to know the difference in 60ft, ET and MPH with just the clutch mod (no springs).
Please, I din´t understand exactly what is the difference in pratic when you remove these 3 springs? Is it to eliminate torque limiter and allow the clutch to don´t slide in strong downshifting? Does it work in ZX10R 08-10 too?
If this will disable the slipper clutch then its not advisable for race track use were we almost use heavy engine breaking since the tires would just lock up.. right?
Hey I just ordered this piece from your site dor my 06 zx10r to come here and see people saying it won't fit. That's strange because the website says the part is for 05-20. Will it fit my bike? I've also ordered the heavy springs and track king plates I can't wait !
@@BrockDavidson Thabks everything came and works wonderfully! And i actually ordered your mod and springs from schnitz lol (I was hoping to get a brocks decals )
Hi guys, just wondering whether you have anything like this for the 06/07 model zx10? Hi there, thanks for that, I will definitely check them out, just wondering what the difference is between increasing the spring pressure and do a clutch mod? Thank you
Installing a clutch mod disables the slipper clutch (used during down shifts only), it does nothing to increase the amount of pressure applied to clutch to accelerate the vehicle.
Yes: brocksperformance.com/clutch-mod-zx-10r-04-21-and-zx-6r-05-12/ we also offer this upgraded kit: brocksperformance.com/clutch-mod-kit-super-stock-zx-10r-04-21/
+Nick Axe The mod clamps the two sections of the OEM mod tightly together. Can they move? Minimally. Can they rachet like stock and disrupt a drag style launch? No - that's why I invented the mod. We could produce a one piece billet unit like we have for the Hayabusa, but it would just be more expensive and perform the same task.
If you mean, can you downshift from 5th to first at 100+ MPH without the rear wheel chirping/barking/sliding/fish-tailings etc... no. This mod assumes you understand the correct way to ride a motorcycle.
@@BrockDavidson i mean work my gear from 5th to 4th to 3rd but also rev match, but i want to drag this bike from launching it, and also to a road racing
@Nicolas, yes. Although this series is focusing primarily on the 2017 GSX-R1000, the techniques used apply to most modern fuel injected motorcycles. Example: we used this same format on the 2015 Hoda Grom, as well as the 2015 Ninja H2. The results were the same, as both bikes ended up as quick/fast as we know how to make them using 100% bolt-on components.
Brock Davidson Okay got it. So where can I find that piece ? Do you guys from Brock's provide that for my 🏍 since I'm planning on rebuilding my clutch later on. Thanks.

Hey Brock Davidson so a clutch mod does nothing for top end runs then, correct. As far as clamping force goes at higher speeds possibly putting more power to the ground, or am i off here?
Sea Tac Assassin it also increases 'launchability' which will put more power to the ground - quicker. If used in conjunction with our heavy duty clutch spring kit, it will increase clutch life and promote higher top speeds: www.brocksperformance.com/Heavy-Duty-Clutch-Spring-Kit+I270630+C29.aspx
Sea Tac Assassin here are real-world examples of those exact clutch component in use by Rickey and Richard Gadson in certified Land Speed Racing use: www.brocksperformance.com/brocknm/templates/bpp1.aspx?articleid=239&zoneid=9
Technically it doesn't lock the slipper clutch because the slipper part is sat on the shelf with a zip tie around it, it replaces it with a single solid cup washer.
@luizdireitojr According to the Brock Performancde website this mod fits 2008-2012 ZX10R •Eliminates ‘bucking’ during dead stop launches •Disables factory slipper clutch •Constructed from spring steel •Smoother operation, longer clutch life, lower ET’s

@@BrockDavidsonis this clutch mod useful for roll racing or mainly just for dig/drag racing?
Mainly drag, but seriously fast roll racers like to control/ adjust their spring pressure to make sure they have no slippage in high gear.

If you road race, or you are a newer rider, you would not want to disable the slipper. It's designed to enhance dead stop launches.

can it be used permanently on the road, remove the torque limiter .... or is it only for drag???
Yes. But the tire might bark on aggressive down shifts.
Hi, I am a student and I was wondering why the removal of those springs disengage the ramps in the slipper clutch. Thanks
To prevent the clutch chatter created by the OEM slipper clutch during a dead-stop/drag style launch.

They are not progressively wound, so either way first is fine.

It is to promote smooth launches for drag racing. The product links explain in detail.
