It's chill because like the album name moonrise, when the moon rises, the vibe goes with it, slow and chill, while the sunrise is when the sun rises it's really happy and fast
Hey, The “What can I do” mv is actually the start of a story line followed by “I loved you” then “when you love someone” then “all alone” I really hope you can get to react to the MVs soon, as all the Day6 members were actors in the MVs and they did amazingly. “Whatever!” I believe was written by young K when he was in class or smth cause the lyrics are about how boring things can be XD. “Be lazy” is about telling someone to not get up from bed and be lazy so they can stay and spend time with them more which is quite a nice meaning tbh. At the start of “All alone” it’s Sungjin followed by Young K. To differentiate them, I’d say you have to listen for the raspy tone in sungjins voice quite closely and I don’t really know how to describe young k’s voice other than saying it’s beautiful XD. “Pouring” is about liking someone or love at first sight and having their feelings pour out of them as they can’t control it, which could be seen as a good or bad thing tbh but it seems like it’s written in distress XD. “I need somebody” is actually very popular even though it’s a b-side. But it deserves it’s popularity as it’s an incredible song. Since young k has written most of Day6’s songs, including “I need somebody.” With the amount of sad songs he’s written, you would think he’s maybe gone through something- or not, we don’t know tho. But it slightly seems that way XD. “I’ll try” was actually the only song not composed by young k in this album and it was written by Wonpil, he wrote the song to show his unconditional love for his mother, which is honestly so sweet. The a cappella part in “I’ll try” is so amazing tho, even Dowoon contributed in harmonising in that part. Maybe you could do their “Unlock” album next? It’s their very amazing Japanese album.
I Need Somebody is one of the top 5 songs from Day6 for me ;] The instrumental is so complex and unique and on top of that their vocals are on point. So much emotion. Love this song!!
Moonrise is such a great album! I really loved your reaction! Your right, Moonrise feels so chill but personally it’s a real emotion punch in the gut. Not gonna lie, I cried my first listen of “I need somebody”. I also had a lot of trouble telling Sungjin and Brian/Young K apart at first. Now I’m pretty good at it. It’s kind of hard to explain and I’m no expert, but for me Sunjin has more of the raspy, typical rock sound whereas Young K has a clearer more resonant (I have no clue if that’s the right word) sound. Great video! Hope to see more soon!
Yeah! Sunrise is about a beginning hence they got a lot of upbeat songs, while moonrise is more intimate where the songs talked mostly about our personal experiences and feelings. Those lyrics really destroy me.

The music videos for I Loved You, When You Love Someone, and All Alone are interconnected it's sort of like a movie. You should check it out if you haven't, it really hits right in the feels.
I had not realized how romantic and chill this album is until you mentioned it; it's been a while since I've listened to the album in order so it was really nice. Like you said, it made me really calm by the end. Every new song I kept thinking about how meaningful these songs' lyrics are, and even though some of them could be interpreted not in the romantic/couple sense, they're all very sweet and affectionate (even the break up ones lol.) It's hard to choose but I think I prefer Moonrise over Sunrise just because there are more of my overall Day6 favorites in this album.
I have still to read all the lyrics but I'm working through them! It's nice to to have an album like that where it really calms you down in a good way! I kinda prefer Sunrise if I had to choose 🙈 But don't get me wrong I love all their albums ❤

This album has that special aura that I can’t explain, the songs are well rounded in variety. One of my favourite albums from day6. THE VOCALS IN I’LL TRY, THEY SHOOK US FOR REAL.
I really love the fact that you always react to albums instead of MVs like other reactors. Because eventhough KPop's specialty is the mix of song + visual + choreo, I always think that an artist should first and foremost getting appreciated by their music and I love how you appreciated their musics first--and probably later appreciated their visuals! I'm still a rather conservative music listener so this is the pattern I usually took with my favorite KPop group. Definitely will subscribe!

Day6 is one of those band/group that makes great music. If you don’t like their music that means they are just not to your liking. It doesn’t mean the song is bad. But if you know music you can’t deny that they have great discography.

This is one of my favourite albums by them, cause why wouldn't it be? I need somebody is a song that got me really. It's so incredible that even though they release masterpiece after masterpiece, it still remains my favourite. I relate to it and the chorus also made me realize that Young K is my bias and my favourite vocalist along side with BTS's V.
Your reaction is always on point, Stina. When You Love Someone is Sungjin and Dowoon's favorite in this album. I'll Try is written by Wonpil for his mom, that's why it is so beautiful. Hi again! Haha moonrise is really a much chill album compared to sunrise cause it's more of a winter type of album (it was relased on the second half of the year iirc) 🌝🌝🌝 both are equally good! Trust our superband to give us an album to suit every vibe! Also, young k's voice is the really clear one while sungjin has that raspy, dark voice (he's my bias). It can be kinda hard to differentiate them cause both of them can hit really high notes 😅😅

This is one of my favourite albums by them, cause why wouldn't it be? I need somebody is a song that got me really. It's so incredible that even though they release masterpiece after masterpiece, it still remains my favourite. I relate to it and the chorus also made me realize that Young K is my bias and my favourite vocalist along side with BTS's V.
Your reaction is always on point, Stina. When You Love Someone is Sungjin and Dowoon's favorite in this album. I'll Try is written by Wonpil for his mom, that's why it is so beautiful. And your reaction to I Need Somebody was what everyone did. Most people cried after listen to this song. I personally listened to I Need Somebody on my way back home after work and cried in the bus, yeah this song hits you hard.

Hi again! Haha moonrise is really a much chill album compared to sunrise cause it's more of a winter type of album (it was relased on the second half of the year iirc) 🌝🌝🌝 both are equally good! Trust our superband to give us an album to suit every vibe! Also, young k's voice is the really clear one while sungjin has that raspy, dark voice (he's my bias). It can be kinda hard to differentiate them cause both of them can hit really high notes 😅😅

I suggest you listen to their album "Daydream", it was released in March of 2016, this album is amazing and contains some of my favorite Day6 songs ("First Time" and "Hunt").
