Always loved Arcanine. Might be my love for canines in general but honestly , one of the best yet simple designs. Gen 1 really excelled in the 'less is more' when it came to designs 😂
You also need to remember that natural creatures need to have reaction speeds fast enough that they can instinctively move or tense for certain scenarios. Arcanine can probably react extremely quick while running, leading to fewer injuries occurring for itself, other creatures, and even a rider. I just want a dog that's bigger that a draft horse
That's true, this is just a fun hypothetical of what would happen *if* Arcanine hit you at speed. Probably wouldn't be a common occurrence but just more a fun thought experiment of asking what if a giant dog could actually run that fast 😅 - Lucas
Lucas here: it's another video in this style I previously made for my solo channel. It's going to be re-released for this channel as part of this series. 😁
Honestly I like this. There are so many pokemon that seem nonthreatening at first but are straight up dangerous. I have the head canon that all of the pokemon entry's in the pokedex are written by kids. So they're all over exaggerated.
Please do more videos like this Lucas, it was a fun little watch. Suggestions might include Drifbloom, Gengar, Shinnoh Legendarys, Mewtwo, Lucario All of those have some insane lore behind them
The point of impact is really important. A truck hits you bluntly. Our big floofy doggo has paws, claws, teeth and oh yes fire jets. Still want to pet Arcanine.
I’d be more worried about the lava slug that’s hotter than the sun and thus it’s very existence should burn the entire planet to a cinder. 😛 Personally, my head canon is that the Pokédex entries are actually written by the player characters, ie children/young teens, and thus are full of bullshit and the Pokemon Professors are such bad scientists that they take everything their unpaid child labour writes at face value. 😉
Look, if I were to die from the impact of a speedy fluffy fire boi then so be it, I wouldn't have it any other way. Kind of like a bear in real life, I want to hug a big fluffy forest puppy, and if that's how I gotta go out then so be it lol
500 Miles per hour = 223.52 Meters per second, over 2 football fields per second a human blink apparently takes one third of a second so, 74.5m per blink, that's almost a football field per blink, and that's before is starts using extreme speed
Sometimes I wonder if the speeds/temperatures/etc are literal in pokemon, which would mean that with things like Slugma do not routinely set every tree on fire 9and every surrounding THING on fire including people, and thus if transplanting a tree from there to our world it could literally NEVER burn and those are not humans but instead some kinds of super beings, or instead the people at Game Freak are just REALLY bad at math.....
Was always a tough choice between it and ninetails back in gen 1. Yes I guess weaker fire dragonite is there too, if you like having that uphill battle against brock and misty.
Right, but this is missing a bunch of broader context in Pokemon that's much more terrifying. Like the way Seismic Toss, which isn't even a priority move, has been clocked at several percent the speed of light. Or how in Pokemon Go, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and Ultra Sun/Moon you can directly watch various Pokemon go faster than light. Or how in episode 1 of the anime Pikachu's lightning from a single attack made a crater on par with what you'd expect of the energy released by the largest non-nuclear bombs ever made, and Pokemon pretty much only get more powerful from there (even Magikarp in the anime, at the time of their evolutions, casually are as strong as a small nuke, to say nothing of the mountain lifting and black hole creating and heat of the sun producing feats seen in the game pokedexes). And yes, the anime and games are different, but trading Pokemon across the multiverse has been part of the lore since Gen IV (that's literally the lore behind trading between game carts, that you send them to different universes) with no difference in power level, so feats should translate across media. But, humans in Pokemon are tougher than us as well, such as Ash casually lifting more than a ton (Cosmoem plus all his other belongings) and regularly tanking Pikachu's attacks, or Lt. Surge regularly wresting his Pokemon and matching their physical abilities, or everything Team Rocket have survived. Not tough enough that Pokemon can't kill them, but they at least don't have to view even weak Pokemon with the same caution as we have towards nukes.
You know, you say Arcanine can *average* a speed of 258.3 mph- but it’s also an interesting to think of an Arcanine sprinting the fastest it possibly could rather than pacing itself over 24 hours. For instance, if it was by itself and taking a 30 minute sprint at top speed.
Also, a lot of pokemon are terrifying when you read their pokedex entries. Arcanine is more Awesome that Terrifying imo. There are other pokemon that deserve the word terrifying. Also most arcanine don't live in the wild since they evolve via stone.
@Lucas comparing the size of Arcanine vs Pikachu or a mouse poke'mon I think using speed effectively is being polite. Imagine Arcanine at 6'3" using bite... Those poor mouse poke'mon just because a snack.
you should probably take the pokedex with a grain of salt considering none of it makes any sense in game and canonically they're all written by 10 year olds
Always loved Arcanine. Might be my love for canines in general but honestly , one of the best yet simple designs. Gen 1 really excelled in the 'less is more' when it came to designs 😂
Now I want to see an Officer Jenny chases a criminal filmed as a car chase, but they're on Arcanines

You assume Acranine give a fuck and wouldn’t just trample over anyone in its way just because it can.
@@lordofuzkulak8308 that's fair.

@@untitledsidechannel completely understand, big dog hurt
Arcanine seems like it'd be the kind of dog that'd set bushes on fire while marking his territory on them
Glad to see Lucas making more of these, I loved the golbat one
What’s this Golbat video?
Lucas here: it's another video in this style I previously made for my solo channel. It's going to be re-released for this channel as part of this series. 😁
@@untitledsidechannel nice! I’m here for all the Pokémon content, I’m literally trying to catch Giratina on Brilliant Diamond right now

Good thing humans breed the rock type right out of them apparently over time, imagine them churning up the land they ran on at such extreme speeds.
Or they just crumble
Please do more videos like this Lucas, it was a fun little watch.

6 foot 3 inches tall
And weighs in 155 kilograms
Such random display of chaotic evil with mixing the metric and imperial units.

Same!
I personally think that GameFreak is just bad at math and Magcargo is only as hot as magma.
Death by high speed massive FLOOF!

I really love Arcanine. It is my buddy in Pokemon GO and it is very kind and loyal. The color of its skin is my favorite.
please do more, Love this kind of video just talking about a specific Pokemon 😄
Arcanine, sprinting at the speed of a 747
In PLA, you can find Alpha Hisuian Arcanines as tall as 9'2 (2.8m) and weighing over 620 pounds (282kg).
500 Miles per hour = 223.52 Meters per second, over 2 football fields per second
a human blink apparently takes one third of a second
so, 74.5m per blink, that's almost a football field per blink, and that's before is starts using extreme speed
I'm so happy you guys made this channel. Awesome content Lucas!
I remember catching a growlite and taking it to every fight in fire red
This is absolutely terrifying, Imagine just having 6 of these on you hip 😂 😂
And imagine pollen blew all over those 6 giant Arcanine.
Jeeeeesus he is a fast boi. No wonder extreme speed is an attack.
I love how stupid OP Pokémon can get, please, make more of these!
What da dog doin?
Numbers, da dog doin numbers.

Why would offcier Jenny ever ride a car when she could build a suit and ride this thing Team Rocket would've never got anything done lol
OK, that was super nerdy. I have no idea what I just learned, but I liked it. Thank you.
Pumped for more of these Pokémon videos
All that not to mention that it can make and control flames
If I could choose JUST ONE pokemon to have in real life, it would 70% be Growlithe. 30% Pidgeot, but large birds are kind of terrifying.
Loved everything about this, please make more! Would love to see one on wailord
thank u for the metric units
My favorite Pokemon!! 💓 Thank you for this :)
Counterpoint. Pikachu can output enough electric current to shatter solid stone
Arcanine is one of my favourite pokemon loved the video
Arcsnine is a 6ft 3 doggo😊😂andddd he was once a legendary Pokémon
More of a Ponyta/Rapidash guy myself but Growlithe/Arcanine are great Pokémon.
Always luv arcanine... he my favorite good boy :3
Arcanine has a regional variant? That looks amazing!
Awww i love the pokemon facts!! Can we share Go codes? ;)
Tbh i still actually like this one because he just being adorable
This is like a game theory, but actually good.
*surprised Pikachu face*
also that moment when you realize arcanine beats the legendary dogs from sword and shield with ease because they're steel...... Super funny xD
Imagine having to take this boy on his daily 10.000km walk everyday
Was always a tough choice between it and ninetails back in gen 1.

I believe Arcanine deserves a rework, so the 2 forms are used differently
Kanto Arcanine
Type: Fire / Electric
Ability: Intimidate
HP: 100
Attack: 50
Defence: 90
Sp Atk: 125
Sp Def: 90
Speed: 105
Hisuian Arcanine
Type: Fire / Rock
Ability: Intimidate
HP: 100
Attack: 125
Defence: 90
Sp Atk: 50
Sp Def: 90
Speed: 105
RK9 = Arcanine.
Needs a 3rd evolution, stat boost and speed boost or stamina per the lore... As mentioned above

A tier content. We need more. Hypno next 😂😂
Isn't ancient\Hisuian Arcanine Fire\Ground or Fire\Rock?
Just bringing it up, in case portions of its front, like its horn or mane, are hard as rock - which would make collisions even more terrifying.

Can someone tell me which pokemon game the footage is from? I need it!
Which footage? 😅 I did all the capture myself so I can let you know! 😊
