That first block versus first enabled is awesome. I guess I never realized they put the tone suck in there and you can use that or make your Fuzz Face true bypass. Very cool tip. Thanks.
Very interesting information about placing stereo blocks "after" the Amp block so they don't get reduced to mono by it. Thanks

I'll say this...yes the Quad Cortex seems pretty darn unbelievable. But damn if the Helix or HX Stomp doesn't still hold it's own in its own right.
i love the helix interface and simplicity, and with update 3.50 cabs sound well and can be completely setup 👍

I’m thinking after studying different modelers for the last couple months Helix might be the one. Currently have an HX Effects. I have a question about volume/wah pedal on the Helix. I like to have a pedal control my reverb mix and one for the delay mix. If you set the range on Helix pedal 1 from 20 to 80 let’s say for the mix and you want to switch over to the reverb on the pedal 2 position to your reverb wouldn’t you max out out your delay setting to 80 before hitting the switch to switch over to pedal two ??
And then when it switches over to pedal two would the reverb be at the high end of your settings ??
Is there a way to leave the delay where you like it and switch to exp 2 and adjust the reverb and then leave that where you like it and switch back to exp 1 ?? Sorry if this is Helix 101 … I just have not seen this addressed in any videos I’ve watched on Helix expressions pedal operation

No real reason! Generally I like to have it last in the chain except for reverb but in this preset I'm just trying to place lots of stuff in the chain.
Looper I always put after the amp though
I have great news for anyone who was using and enjoying a helix with only one dsp block: you can sell it and buy a stomp and be perfectly happy.

Hi I wanted to know is parallel effects responsible for vast stereo ambient reverbs and delays or that can be achieved in serial processing too ? I am thinking of POD go but parallel processing of HX stomp is giving me second thoughts ...ambient music is my thing ...thanks
I think the Hx stomp is probably a little more suited for that application as you'll have a more flexible signal path than in the pod go
@@johnnathancordy hi if you can answer own more question 1. If I go for Pod Go, will I be able to use my Existing pedals in parallel with Pod go in some way ? 2. Is it possible to get that parallel effect chain while recording through Pod go by DAW ?

I’ve started watching another channel, ‘cause they have ducks on it. Not so sure about the makeup tips though. They also seem to have a thing about manholes…
...ignoring them and pretending they no longer exist is just ducking the issue in my opinion.
