Cheers, handy video. I bought some tape ages ago to fix a cut across the knee of my overtrousers and then moved house and totally forgot about it. Just recently dug it out and saw the thing about using an iron and thought I was going to be destroying the surrounding area! Will give this method a go
Now our problem is that we don’t have any waterproof clothing!! (Just big coats for when it’s under 0 degrees) - if you’d have asked me how to fix it - I’d have said duck tape! Thankfully there’s folks like you who know better - thanks for the info and love the waterfall pic in your living room!! Great video and happy Easter x🍻

Get yourself a seam sealing iron, sometimes called leather iron. The blade is only about 26mm wide, avoids damage to the surrounding material. Amazon UK carry a couple of models.

Thanks - any guidance on sealing up a rubberized jacket - sleeve has torn off the back half while riding a motorbike. Any idea if this type of tape will work with the rubber coating?
Hi Mark, This type of tape would work on the inside of the fabric. But you would need a specialist contact adhesive and repair strip for the rubberised outside. Good luck, and thanks for watching 👍
Hi Paul, That might be tricky as the tape needs pressure applied as the glue melts and it is fixed to the garment,so it could be messy if all of the glue is already melted. But best of luck if you decide to give it a go👍 Thanks for watching😊👍
