The halyard was fairly loose. I was told the bearings on the profurl are not as easy as harken. But when I pull before all the fair leads it works well. So focus is on the fair leads. Thanks for the input. I will look at the tension again.
@@svcyclops hi , I had another look at the furl . Have a look for yourself , is the furl the wrong way , the line follows the deck then crosses to the other side of the furl, I think the line has been wound the wrong way . Creating the friction . Unwind the furl line and wind it the other direction , so the sail furl in not onto. ???
@@svcyclops then maybe run the reef line the other side of the boat . Look at the other yachts , I truly think yours is wrong , so when you pull your pulling at a bad angle , and when it runs out it should be in a line . Yours will create issues and a shorter life span , you should be able to furl that size sail easy , im sure the salesman will tell you different.
@davidwarnes5158 at the end of the season I changed the staysail and Genoa sides of the boat. I also changed the fairleads to harken. Might change more to reduce friction. When you have a new boat there is so much to learn, test and correct. That is why you should never sell a boat you like n

The rotation is dictated by the sun protection? But I will check for sure. Too bad season is so far away.

Use a Mikita to hoist the sail …
I like the workout from the physical effort. My drill is a wimpy drill and could only hoist the courtesy flag.
