    Extra points for the people who noticed that Dr. Joel Kahn cited a psychiatrist when he talked about the colleague who said that there were no randomized trials for the carnivore diet. Apparently a psychiatrist can know stuff about nutrition.

      Haha well in all fairness, maybe it does help. Given that mind and body are connected, the more I understand the hysterical mindset of these mainstream media doctors, the less confidence I have in their diet. I'm only half joking here. I've experimented with the keto diet and fasting and in doing both, I've experienced clearer thoughts, more focus and more emotional control.

      @rosestar1324 9 месяцев назад +2

      Could also just be not eating processed foods. Are you eating fast food all the time as well? Based on the few people I've seen change their diet quite a bit over the years due to medical reasons, I think if you don't eat a balanced diet, then you have to change everything to get those nutrients that you were missing. Apparently other people who go on the carnivore diet need to take vitamin supplements for the vitamins they don't get through meat and some people have annoying side effects like migraines and diarrhea from eating only meat long term.
      If our bodies were supposed to live off only one food (plants or meat) then I'm sure that would have been very obvious by now. But people couldn't get all the nutrients their bodies needed by only eating plants, which made them start hunting animals. I don't think there was ever a real debate about this until more recent. But I think the changes people are seeing is just them cutting out processed foods. If you ate home grown plants that didn't have chemicals sprayed on them and ate animals you raised on a farm and didn't inject growth hormones in them, you'd feel just as good.

But the theory behind those motions, the reasons why you do things in a certain way and what way to do them, yeah, that can all come out of books. I think when a lot of people think of becoming educated, they assume you have to listen to someone give lectures and answer questions. They seem unable to grasp the idea that a book is just a lecture that's been written down, and when it's done properly it answers all the same questions a professor might forget to address in their lecture. Probably why she doesn't practice law anymore. Anyone who goes through as much law as you need to become a judge and then decides to go on a talk show either went into it for the wrong reasons, had buyers remorse once they got into that position, or were so bad at their jobs they had to be removed. My guess is that particular judge was such a shytshow as a judge that she needed to be forced out. Which is really saying something because I've seen quite a few really bad judges in my time.

It was for a senior-year field trip at my high school, they were filming an episode that day regarding athletic injuries using a watermelon as a prop. After going on for 5 minutes about how Football players have to face bodily harm every time they play, they had a college player demonstrate the force of a tackle to the watermelon, explaining that the kinetic force coupled with his gear would explode the watermelon upon impact. Well wouldn't you know it, the player barely made a dent to the melon and deflated their earlier diatribe in less than 10 seconds. The grimace they were making while the crew readied for another take was embarrassing, I've learned not to trust everything in these shows ever since.

    This is why these talk shows are filled with almost if not entirely all female audience. It’s an appeal to emotion and when the audience of women claps at the arrogance it feeds into it. This is about the worst environment for constructive dialogue

      Women have always been followers, and by having a female audience, it's much easier to get their twisted points across to women. If the women that watch this stuff have a good man, I'd hope he'd talk some sense into them for believing the trash they see on TV

    My family Doctor is a very, very smart man. I brought up going to medical school and he asked if I liked reading. Because that's all I'd be doing lol.
    Its worth mentioning that he as an addiction specialist (how I originally came to know him), a skilled surgeon, ect. In Canada but he's South African.

    This video should be mandatory information for everyone.
    The fact you go over the information piece by piece and in such a manner expose the unfair way these "people" bully others into silence without any evidence purely out of spite is brilliant.
    Thanks for the work you do, we need more people like you with a platform to help people think for themselves.

    I became a gunsmith and a machinist by being self taught and researching without going to college or a trade school. I even thought myself to stick weld. As long as you are able to trial and test what you learned and gain significant "practice" you can pretty much learn anything. All the knowledge known to mankind is at the tips of your fingers. You may not get a shiney piece of paper saying you went to some school, but you can learn and do anything you want.

      10-4 on that, I've learned so much from reading or even simply watching RUclips videos. It's incredibly beneficial to have the opportunity to learn things that otherwise would seem unachievable. I myself have saved my family and friends an incredible amount of money and heartache by learning how to make repairs or build things.

      Do note, that's not always true. Some learned information is practical/applicable skills. Meaning doing is more important than reading thus you can learn on your own by doing. Other skills are more informational driven and sorta require a teacher to curate relevant information that is correct.
      Even on your own, to learn science you need someone to have verified and peer reviewed the information you're reading. Even if you choose to apply it on your own using principles you learned without a teacher, you still need others to learn because they need to peer review the work.
