Dude, your review is so biased towards Appl. It's not even funny. So your suggestion is that if you're going to spend $300, you should be more concerned with transparency mode than sound quality? Basically you can get good transparency mode from a $80 pair of headphones. Are you kidding me right now? There's very few earbuds that sound better than the Sennheiser. Very few. You're kind of tripping and then you want to talk about how the case is outdated. Who cares? I'm not wearing the case on my ear. I'm not a Sennheiser fan. I actually really like the Bowers and Wilkins but when it comes to Great sound the Sennheisers are pretty close. They're just more forward and their mid-range is definitely better than the Bowers and Wilkins and Bowers and Wilkins are at the top of the line. But your issue with the case and the size of the earbuds and then your low rating, You're kinda tripping bruh! I detect Apple Fanboy and the airpod pros are a joke when it comes to sound quality versus the Sennheiser a complete joke! I'm not going to spend $300 on a pair of headphones and just say I'm mostly concerned with the transparency mode. If I'm that concerned with transparency mode then I shouldn't even have headphones in my ears.

The MTWS4 and by association MTWS3 are garbage earbuds built on outdated architecture.
$300 is a “premium” price point and should have features to match.

Momentum 3 & 4s reviews on Amazon are 3.6 that’s abysmal not only that but most people 6 months in returned them due to faulty product (left earbud stopped working) and other issues like battery. Paying $300 on a no quality controlled product is a crime
@Vegitobluuuuu So, I would tend to agree with you but I absolutely do not trust the products I receive from Amazon. Every MTW3 that I purchased from Amazon was faulty. Didn't have the same problem with my purchase from Best buy. My MTW4 is on the way. My MTW3 from Best buy is still going strong after 6 months. Most of the other Amazon products broke after 2 or 3 months.
@@chillywill95831 I just ordered a pair of Japanese earbuds called Final ZE3000 true wireless earbuds and they’re amazing it’s been 3 months in and haven’t had any issues with it. Got them from Amazon so..I really hope you enjoy your m4s with no issues
I’ve been using momentum 3 for a year and I gotta say I’m very happy with them, amazing sound quality and above average ANC, never had an issue with them, it rarely has some connection problems but it takes me 5 seconds to reconnect them again.

You got lucky, I've been through 3 pairs of momentum 3 lucky When you reach out to them, they just give you new ones
They are great for me too but been having an issue with connectivity even when they are in the case. Email customer service and sent me direction to reset the earbuds.
looking for a suggestion for a new comer like me. Should I buy Sennheiser MTW 3 or 4 ?
FYI : currently I'm using Sennheiser MX 375 with Ugreen CM110 (aptx), I use phones with Snapdragon 855 and 865.
What's the point of spending money on earbuds if it's not for its sound quality.
Also, Sennheiser has pretty good, I would say even amazing sound. Its just a matter of going into the earbuds EQ and setting it to your liking. I already had the AirPods Pro 2, Beoplay EQ and MTW3 and the MTW3 are the best soundwise.
For those who want to get the best out of them, go get the foam tips. It improves sound isolation, bass response and acustics to a whole other level 😉 also, they will stop falling off your ears (if thats a problem of yours)

Tozo Golden X1, SoundPeats Opera 05, Status Between 3ANC even the Engine4 if you don’t want ANC.
Purely on sound + EQ ability.
I got the Momentum True Wireless 3 pair last May.. without daily and heavy use, I ended up with a dead left headphone and a right one which charges up to 10%. So when you wear both, left is dead and right says "please recharge". I sent them back to amazon to RMA. Very frustrated. I'd probably go to the sony xm5.
My Momentum 3's broken after I used for 3 months I claim this earbud with Sennheiser they mention there is no Momentum3 available in stock anymore so they offer me the new Momentum 4 instead but I have to wait until May 2024. Oh my 😮😮😮
Same happened to me. In Vietnam and I just got mine MMT4. Pretty good sound.
You are now officially my favorite reviewer on this subject. I wish you spoke a little more regarding fit during gym or exercise but otherwise best content on headphones. You were the only reviewer who gave accurate information regarding the Sony XM5. Those buds suck ass, well the fit is really bad. I returned them ten minutes after opening the box. Thanks for being real, unbiased and so informative. There’s other great info on sound and analytics but you hit the important day to day points that actually matter while others are slobbing knob because they get free merch. I’m subbed.
Thanks for this overview. Where did you get them? The official launch date is March 1st. P.S. A bigger driver size doesn't mean better sound quality, especially in TWS earbuds, where sound can be prettified by software

Thank you for the video. I also got the TW4 and have been using them for a week. I'm still not entirely sure if I'll keep them. I've tested a lot of headphones and have a slightly different opinion.
The sound is definitely among the best True Wireless headphones on the market, and your statement about the 7mm drivers is not accurate! The size number alone is not solely responsible for sound quality, but well, the "review" seems rushed from my perspective! The best ones I've tested are the B&O EX... but the NC is terrible, and unfortunately, the volume is low.
What I actually don't like so much is the charging case, which hasn't changed, and yes, the price could have been a bit lower; it seems a bit lazy of Sennheiser not to further optimize the design!
Pros:
+Sound (BEOPLAY EX is better)
+the new color of the headphones (unfortunately, the DESIGN is the same as the predecessors)
+ANC is very good
+Microphone is good
+the app is great and responds quickly
+Controls
Cons:
-Charging case is large (but I like the fabric and it's a unique selling point)
-Design (okay but not further developed)

-fit (AZ80 and B&O EX better)
Not rushed, these are the same if not identical to the MTWS3.

I used my MTW4 at work today with loud industrial vacuum and saws cutting alluminum, they blocked out the noise better than regular ear plugs .

He doesn't have many subscribers because he had a bad pair of Sennheisers and to his credit, I will admit that the Sennheiser MTW3s were trashy. But all of the others before that were excellent! And, it wasn't sound quality that made them trashy. It was the hardware. They always had problems with one of the earbuds losing sound or having diminished volume. But , I've bought numerous Sennheiser headphones and every generation of their ear buds and the MTW3s still sound better than most if you tune them to your ears within the app. All of that being said, doesn't automatically mean that the MTW4s will have the same hardware flaws as the MTW3s before them.
This guy doesn't seem to understand that his subscriptions are directly related to his ignorant responses and calling people bozos. I'm pretty sure he will remove my response, but what I'm saying would actually help him improve his channel. I don't know why I'm doing that. I guess it's just because I'm mature.

Interesting review. I have a set of momentum 4s coming my way to listen to them and make my decision. I just don't like the fit of the AirPod Pros they don't stay in my ears and I can't get a good seal for the NC.

Curious have you had or previously tried the MTWS3?
I got my MTW4 from the sennheiser customer support as a replacement for my MTW3 which had a faulty battery on the left side after 6 months. I didn't sell my MTW4 to get an airpods pro 2nd gen because I choose battery life over case size and sound quality over slightly better transparency mode. In terms of features, sennheiser added apt-x lossless, bluetooth le and auracast support which made MTW4 more future proof compared to airpods pro 2nd gen. However, I kind of agree that if someone doesn't care about the sound quality and they are in apple ecosystem it is a better option to get airpods pro 2nd gen. I picked MTW since I care about sound quality, but if my MTW4 developed a same issue with MTW3 I will consider switching to other products such as technics or bower & wilkins.
I am waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow or so. The thing is: The predecessor was very, very good, still the best sounding buds I have ever tried. I just didn’t keep them because of the overwhelming count of reports of quality issues. So while it is a bit disappointing that they haven’t changed more on these on the surface, it would be a great set of earbuds if they just erased the quality issues and gave us some minor future proofing with le and auracast. The case is still too clunky tho.

Hey Fredo, chances that you respond are slim, chances that you actually do my request are slimmer, however I have a proposal for you. There is a bud that is dominating the Japanese audio market right now, which has yet to be reviewed by an American reviewer, in English. The Aviot TE-ZX1-PNK is a beautiful pair of earbuds that has a revolutionary tribid 5 dynamic driver configuration. I also know that they just so happen to be done in a sort of collab effort with Cowboy Bebop, but from what I’ve seen, the sound quality on the buds is incredible. Was wondering if you would be the first English speaking reviewer to take a look at these, and gives us the no bullshit take on them. Thoughts?

Sennheiser MTW 4 is replacing the MTW 3 which I had before. Having talked to the Sennheiser service center, most MTW 3 have one side-pair dead + can't be charged issue. Because of that there is no major improvement in MTW 4 design. But, MTW 3 or 4 has one of the best sound quality that I may say is equal to Airpods pro 2 (I use them both eventually). Though for 2024, the same old look of MTW 4 is kinda boring therefore, I think major improvement in MTW 4 product design and capabilities would be perfect 👌
Not everyone wants a small case. I good with the big ones... Easier to keep up with.

Agree i dont think case size is that important. People compared it to the airpods but I think its stupid cause either way its still gonna take uo decebt amount of soace. Momentum 4 or any other earbuds/ headphones that has better codec (aptx lossless or whatever gimmick they tryna sell) is bunch of bs. First you need a phone that has same chip (snapdragon 8 gen 2) and not a lot of phones right now has that. not only that you also need a media player to stream your lossless music like tidal which you can expect to pay a lot of money just to get that quality of music you want but in reality you won’t notice a difference in said quality. Companies like these only focus on sound quality (music listening only) and throw everything else out the window like ANC and Transparency mode and mic call quality. So be smart and choose a product that does good in every department like AirPods Pro 2

I get you don't like what Sennheiser have done with the micro improvements and I get that they are a bit of a rip off but the sound quality especially when you do the personalisation is significant - you said so yourself.

From a personal standpoint - I have heard both the Sennheiser MTW3 and MTW4.
I like both for sound quality.
I think the 4 are slightly louder.
The bass is just amazing.
The articulation at the top end is great but there is room for even more - but that might be my personal listening preferences.

If they want transparency they can get any number of buds for that.
I just don't know many buds (obviously there are some) people can purchase to get significantly better sound quality for less money than the Sennheiser MTW 3 or 4.
Whilst I appreciate the review and your opinions, I think you’re way too negative about a lot of the products you do vids on, I love AirPods, but they sound way worse than these, or the Bose QC Ultras, and you ragged on both these products, when both are ridiculously good, as for $200 buds sounding better, that’s just capping. The Sennys are top 5 for sound end of. I’d rather have better sound than anything else, getting decent ANC multi P is a bonus. Always a trade off. Denon Perl Pro, B&O EX, Status, Senny, Bose… my top 5 for sound, nothing else can run with these.

Although saying that sound is subjective, I’ve tested all the ones you recommended in other posts, and none come close imo.

TBH the Sennys look like they don’t even fit you right when they’re in, as for multipoint, it’s again subjective, but you decide what you want for YOU before you buy.

I can't believe what you're saying about MTW dude. AirPod pro its not even close to Momentum 3 and 4 (I have both) in sound quality. These two headphones are not even comparable to each other. I like apple products as you do but when it comes to music I love to get the best sound quality instead of extra speaker on charging case etc... AirPods are good only for trash bin dude.

I own the AirPods Pro 2, which I love. However, I tried my buddy's MTW4 (after cleaning them thoroughly), and they just sound better. The sound is crisper and the bass is meatier.
Calling the MTW4s "The worst head phones ever created" is complete nonsense, and really shows that you don't know what you're talking about.
You can say that you prefer the AirPods, but calling them "the worst ever" is a joke.

I own the Sennhaiser 3s and sound amazing, and per what the other 20 reviews I've seen the 4s are way better and have a lot of new things, and they are even putting the ANC tied with the Sonys and the Sound better than Sony, and who gives a crap about pass through are you serious, get some open ear headphones if that's what you want, I use buds to not hear the outside.

Sennheiser hasn’t “activated” most features on the buds you’ll need a future software update.
And I only have the AirPods for testing purposes because I test earbuds.

I’m not a fan of Sennheiser either. They definitely sounded better than what I used to have. And definitely better than the empty sounding AirPods Pro 2. However, I’m trying out the AZ80’s because I’ve heard a lot of great things about their sound quality. It’s hard to find unbiased reviews anymore because there are tons of brown nosing “secretly paid sponsors” for the new Sennheiser MTW4’s. Sennheiser must be desperate paying for all of them!
