The Old CRDi was a gem especially the 1.6L one in Creta, Elantra and Verna.
The 1.4L block was best performing in i20 Active due to better final drive ratio with 12% better low end.
Best performance in the I20 Elite as per my opinion.
The 1.6 litre crdi engine of creta as well as of Verna are phenomenal in terms of their performance. Creta always has a legacy in it which cannot be expressed...🤩

@@johndavidson3424 your right, for example the diesel one may had more torque but the 1.6 petrol gave you a higher revving engine to 7500 ( i have one) and my muffler got scratched and sounded so good but then my brother didnt like it so we replaced it. the sound of a petrol is much better to a diesel..

If that was better idk what today's one is dude, One of our relatives had an accident with this gen creta, it rolled at high speed and the person driving died on spot even though the passenger side had more impact.

Upgrading from my 1st gen i20 magna to the 1st gen Creta facelift sx(o) was somewhat disappointing. I liked my i20's nippy dynamics, therefore I loved it in the highways but the Creta was not exciting in the highway. anyways the car was a revolution in terms of technology. there was a lot of space so i could not regret my purchase and it will be my daily driver for years to come.

guys who all agrees he should have driven a 1.6 petrol/diesel creta 1st gen in good condition with all the features you got? and not the lowest base one..
Have current gen Creta, looks futuristic and polarising compared to 1st gen which was an eye candy. But the current gen is a huge upgrade in driving dynamics compared to the 1st gen which was very poor in this area (tonnes of body roll, pitching, bounce and everything unpleasant you can expect from a car).

Yes old generation creta was better,it has better build quality than current creta !! Which is 2 star rating in GNCAP, marginal 3 star rating in GNCAP!! But still feels more like crossover than SUV , missing tata hexa , Renault duster AWD true SUV having 4WD and a good off roading SUV
