You can rewind and change the playback speed on the video. As for the yarn, you can put the skein in an old stocking and wash in with fabric softener. That helped me when I was using a polybend yarn.😊
I am an intermediate crocheter and the fact this yarn splits so easily at times drives me crazy. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for a beginner or someone with no crochet knowledge. It's probably making it harder for some to count stitches. I also found it odd that there were details in the paper instructions for decreasing but not for increasing. Counting your stitches and keeping the appropriate tension is really important for this project. Both things that someone with no knowledge might not pickup on unless they have a lot of trial and error. The hardest part for me was connecting the legs and making the arms. Connecting the legs took some fake it until you make it and gut instinct because I had missed a stitch or two. The best advice I can offer for the legs connecting is keep imagining an upside down peace sign with your fingers. To help you mentally keep the pattern until the legs start to look like little cups. The arms, I had to take the advice of another commentor and keep the stitches LOOSE. And then trust the process. They got a bit easier to make once a tube shape started forming.
Hmmm I’d have to disagree on a few things. I’ve crocheted on scarf and and working on a blanket and the instructions for me were easy. I just have a hard time understanding things and stuff so I watched this videos as I went along. My yarn was pretty good and it includes everything you need plus a stitch marker! And crocheting can always be kind of hard even for advanced crocheters sometimrs!
I hate that the yarn splits! How can you make a product for crochet beginners and give them yarn that splits? Luckily, I'm and experienced crocheter. If I've been new at this, I'd give up and never crochet again. 😢
Iv never crocheted before. I thought it would be fun. The fact the yarn splits and makes me loose track of what I'm doing make me unhinged. I thought it would be a fun gift. A silly little frog badly crocheted by me. 3 days later iv finally increased the stitch for the first time and probly have to start over cause im lost again lol. I think I hate crochet 😵💫
I would just like to say the first half of the video was very informative and then halfway through she decided on the head that she didn’t need to tell me how to read the freaking directions. The reason why I watched this video is so that I could understand like what the sigma.
Same this is definitely a different way of teaching she did it as if we know what to do and did not slow down and when it gets to the head she don’t even show step my step I’m stuck and trying my best to read the pattern but that’s becoming difficult as well. Wish she did a better video
This is the first time I ever crocheted anything and this video helped me a lot. I bought this at Walmart but the comments discouraged me but when I tried it was pretty simple and I was able to finish it quickly and it was really fun to make. I recommend this a lot.
I did 7 single crochet not six and it work up better... Make sure you count your stitches that is the key..don't crochet it right tight!! That is what I did wrong and had to redo it...
@@jazlynn2542hi I’m not sure if you’ve found the video yet but there’s a QR code on the package if you go to the website it has a video on how to do it 😁
I have very low experience and connecting the legs took so much guessing negl because what's a "bump"???? Lost a stitch in round 6 and haven't been able to recover 😭 I am not taking it all out.... or should i? Ugh
Thank you! This will be the first doll crochet item. The rest I’ve made are blankets and scarfs. This was extremely helpful! I love crocheting and this made it ten times easier! Happy holidays!
Thank you very much for your help. It is always easier to go through the directions and watch somebody do it especially since this is the first project of this type I have tried. I must say it was a pain in the butt! I don't know if I will do something like this again just because of it being so small I can't hold on to it and counting I couldn't see and had to rip it out about 35 times for each piece. Lol! But thank you again I appreciate it!
FOR THE HEAD. I got confused too until I wrote down each stitch . Ex. After the 12sc(round2). The next round round3)needs to be 18. So first stitch is one stitch then the next one will be a 2stitches in one stitch and then it’s a pattern. 1 st, 2sc,1st,2sc,1st,2sc… until you get 18. So round 4 would be 1st, 1st, 2sc, 1st, 1st, 2sc until you get 24. If done correctly the you’ll end with the right stitch count.😂 hopefully that helps with the head.
Hey so uh, don't even think about making this if you are a beginner. I couldnt even get past the first step because I dont know how to properly hold the yarn on the stick. It was so incredibly frustrating that I gave up and will plan to come back in the future when I have better crochet knowledge.
Thank you, is is just what I needed! I am still learning all of the abbreviations, this helped me so much with them. When I first looked at the pattern for this frog it was like a different language!
Thank you so much! I bought a wooble and the instructions for that weren’t close to being as detailed as this. This would be my second project and I’m so excited to start!!
First time trying. Don't know if I don't have the mind set for this or what but I've spent over half an hr just trying to follow/copy the first 3 min... you never explain the hand positions and don't pause going from one thing to another. Would also help if the first time you do a new stitch if you do it undo it and then do it again repeat this 3 times to show the hand movement on the first time of a new type of stitch to make it clear what's happening. This is supposed to be for even first timers right? I'm gonna keep trying but you may want to think about remaking these videos.
this was really disappointing tbh. my kit came without the black yarn for the face, the needle, and the clip. i’m a beginner who’s left handed and i cannot find a tutorial for me nor can i even finish the first step without the yarn splitting. the hook they give you is too small so it separates the yarn even more, it’s harder to wrap around the hook because this yarn is so cheap, and impossible to work with. i hope you find a way to go into more detail and make this tutorial more beginner friendly or even crochet friendly preferably.
This makes zero sense!! i don't like how she doesn't explain how to make the head or finish off the body! The whole purpose of me watching the video is so that i wouldn't have to read the instruction sheet!
😮😮😮😮step one..lost me. That hook is so small, thread small..and beginner! I couldn't tell where she stuck the yarn hook in. Got as gift..😢 i think i will try with really big first to SEE where and how. Time to find a baby tutorial. 😂😂
This is to all the people who hate this kit, like me. Use the items it comes with for other BETTER things. Like use the yarn for smtn else and use that stitch marker for other projects and use the black thread for embroidering on another project. You can also use the needle for smtn else. Everything in this bad kit can get a better use. And btw this video is really bad and the paper it came with is rly hard for beginners. Pls fix this.
Um this is not fun at all and on the head you like did not tell us like what the heck I’m working on a cat beanie and I finished it and it looks great and the video was really good and you don’t really help much not trying to be rude
horrible video. I was trying this out as I want to start crocheting but your instructions are unclear and are hard for beginner crocheters to understand. You go way too fast and you aren't explaining how and what to do.
This moves way too fast and the yarn is hard to work with, I'm still stuck on the first step.
Same here
the yarn and the hook are so shitty
You can rewind and change the playback speed on the video. As for the yarn, you can put the skein in an old stocking and wash in with fabric softener. That helped me when I was using a polybend yarn.😊
Yeah I got the kit and the yarn is super low quality
Same I had to get my own yarn

Honestly and the “magic ring” is so stupid. I’m a beginner and I’m used to slip knots. Then when I tighten the tail nothing happens.

Impossible, the ring dosent even appear its just the single stitch
I used a different brand and size yarn and he turned out great. My boyfriend loves him and sets him on his chest while he plays games LOL
