This was the most amazing speed skating performance I've seen. She was push aside by the American to drop back to 5th position, then she skated her way back into the lead and won by a mile. Zhou is awesome.
It is actually Wang meng
ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
No, it’s Zhou Yang. As a Chinese I can clarify. And TBH, the American did nothing but challenged that 2nd spot, it’s a short track, it meant to have conflict . Athletes bumping pushing grabbing all the time, but we Chinese will show no mercy on the Koreans in short track although they’re the best in the world, we will be treating them equally once they find their sports spirit back
Holy cow! Amazing come back by Zhou from the 4th or 5th position after Reutter's interference. Huge margin over the two Koreans at the end whom you can tell were running out of steam.
@Soul Chealla And you are a moron bc you can't watch a replay and see that the American was pushed by the Chinese woman, she fell and her momentum took the Korean out. It is amazing how many of you morons don't pay attention.
@@DATWagonator 1:15:40 lol bro wheres the touch? chinese wasnt even close..american cant overtake on the inside at all
@@DATWagonator Lol, regardless the Chinese skater had bags more power! She probably can win the race from last position with 3 laps to go:)
@@YaniqueNoah This is how you americans are. You are absolutely shameless like ur speed pusher Reutter.

1500 M Women Quarters
3:26 Heat 1 Start List
5:48 Heat 1 [China's Sun Linlin overtakes the entire pack with an outside pass to win the heat]
9:45 Heat 2 (Park Seung-Hi, Zhou Yang) [Park Seung-Hi jumps in behind China's Zhou Yang's outside pass and drafts to the lead, Yang second. Russia's V. Potemkina outside passes for the lead, but Park drifts wide to block her and Potemkina settles in between Park and Yang. Yang outside passes Potemkina and Park jumps in front of Yang, winning the heat]
13:41 Heat 3
14:39 Restart Heat 3 [An exciting race where multiple skaters ride the outcourse to take the lead. USA's K. Ruetter hits the outcourse and runs away from the field, but China's Wang Meng is right behind Ruetter and rides the outcourse until overtaking at the finish]
18:40 Heat 4 (Cho Ha-Ri) [Canada's K. Roberge takes the lead and sets a fast pace looking to outrun the inevitable Korean outside pass. Doesn't matter. Cho Ha-Ri blasts off from the back of the pack with 2 laps remaining and crushes the field to win the heat]
22:51 Heat 5 [Italy's A. Fontana is the only dominant skater in this heat and cruises to an easy win]
28:02 Heat 6 (Lee Eun-Byul) [USA's A. Baver kickstarts the fireworks with a gorgeous triple inside pass powered by a sudden acceleration exiting the corner. Hungary's R. Darazs moves from third to the lead with a successful double inside pass. Germany's A. Klein takes herself out of the race, bumping Darazs and slipping while attempting to straighten out of a double inside pass that took the lead, dropping to last. Japan's H. Sadakane takes advantage of the confusion caused by Klein's slip and double inside passes to the lead. Baver makes her bid for the win with a double outside pass overtaking Sadakane, who tries to defend by picking up the pace to outrun the pass. Lee Eun-Byul, who has patiently worked her way up from last to fourth, decides playtime is over and rockets along the outcourse for the win, her ponytail streaming behind her like the tail of a rampaging stallion. As Lee passes Baver on the outside, Sadakane passes on the inside, splitting the exhausted Baver. Darazs attempts to get third with an inside corner pass of Baver, which wipes out both skaters. Penalty to Darazs and Baver is advanced. Penalty call at 33:32. Shot of Lee Eun-Byul's shy beauty at 33:58]

1500 M Women Semis
37:05 Heat 1 Start List
38:04 Heat 1 Introductions
39:55 Heat 1 (Lee Eun-Byul) [In an Olympic semifinal with a large field of 7 and a guaranteed fast pace, nobody wants to be at the back, so there is intense jockeying for the lead spots. Lee Eun-Byul launches the first big move with a triple inside pass to take the lead. China's Sun Linlin passes Lee on the outside, but only holds the lead briefly as Lee counters with an inside pass when Sun goes slightly wide exiting the corner. USA's A. Baver does a double inside pass to go from 4th to second, bumping Sun to the outcourse. Canada's T. Vicent takes advantage of the cleared out incourse by double inside passing Sun and Baver to take second behind Lee. From that point on, it's a mad scramble to the finish as the girls go balls out to qualify, with Lee and Vicent taking it]
44:05 Heat 2 Start List and Introductions
45:50 Heat 2 (Cho Ha-Ri) [After some jockeying, Cho Ha-Ri grabs the lead with a double outside pass. USA's K. Ruetter follows up with a double outside pass to settle in behind Cho, who picked up the pace to outrun Ruetter. China's Wang Meng makes her move and rides the outcourse to go from fourth to second, settling in between Cho and Ruetter. Canada's K. Roberge falls while cornering during Wang's move. Ruetter inside passes Wang and tries to slip into the small gap between Cho and Wang, but instead wipes out all three leaders, leaving the 2 remaining skaters, Hungary's E. Huszar and Bulgaria's E. Radanova, to qualify. Highlights of crashes at 48:28. Wang was given a penalty and Cho and Ruetter were advanced]
52:13 Heat 3 Start List and Introductions
53:55 Heat 3 (Park Seung-Hi, Zhou Yang) [The pack jockeys for the lead until settling in behind Australia's T. Borodulina. Canada's V. Maltais jumps the outcourse from the back of the pack in her bid for the lead, but is jumped by China's Zhou Yang, who in turn is jumped by Park Seung-Hi. Borodulina shifts to the outcourse to block Park, but Park blows past her. Italy's A. Fontana jumps the abandoned incourse to inside pass Borodulina and settles in behind Park who has left the outcourse to take the lead. But Zhou is still on board the outcourse train and doesn't get off until she has snatched the lead from Park. Park responds by passing Zhou on the outside, and Fontana jumps the outcourse to follow Park. When Zhou moves outcourse to block Fontana, Fontana switches to the abandoned incourse, and passes Zhou on the inside. Zhou gathers herself and picks up speed exiting the corner to inside pass Fontana settling in behind Park. Park and Zhou finish the race in that order and qualify for Final A. A shot of the beautiful Park Seung-Hi at 58:33]

1:03:00 Final B Start List and Introductions
1:04:40 Final B [The small 4 skater bunch stays tightly packed throughout the race, starting at a slow pace and exchanging the lead. With 4 laps remaining, Italy's A. Fontana from the back of the pack rides the outcourse to go for the lead. China's Sun Linlin, sitting in second, cuts in front of Fontana and outside passes to grab the lead, Fontana tucks into second behind Sun. With the finish approaching, Fontana turns on the afterburners and blows past Sun on the outside to take Final B]
1:08:40 Final A Start List and Introductions
1:12:26 Final A (Park Seung-Hi, Zhou Yang, Lee Eun-Byul, Cho Ha-Ri) [THE GREATEST OVERTAKE - In a huge field of 8 skaters, none of the favorites want to be stuck in the back of the pack. After intense jockeying for the lead and multiple passes and attempts, Korean Park Seung-Hi takes control of the race, with China's Zhou Yang and USA's K. Ruetter at second and third. Ruetter attempts an inside pass of Zhou and bumps her, the collision dumping both Zhou and Ruetter to the outcourse, blocking the Koreans at the back who were gearing up for an outside pass. Zhou ends up 5th and Ruetter last after the collision, setting up Park to take gold as all her main rivals have lost position due to this race accident. Zhou unleashes the greatest kick in short track history and rides the outcourse train from 5th to gold with a massive lead over the rest of the field. Korean Lee Eun-Byul also unleashes a massive kick to overtake Park for silver by a wide margin, but Lee's impressive move is overshadowed by Zhou's immortal outcourse ride]
Underrated comment
Zhou Yang once fell to the 5th but finally won the race with a HUGE margin over 10 meters. Epic comeback! Absolutely the No.1 in the world. I think Korean skaters should be shocked at her unreachable speed. Again Katherine Reutter proved her utter dirtiness.
Charlie Fan Catherine is a dozer on the ice.
Charlie Fan how was ruetter a dirty skater? If she had been dirty, she would have been called out and disqualified. You’re probably just mad you’re Canadians didn’t win (yes, I’m also aware ruetter didn’t win, and yes I’m American)
Zachary Jensen ウンニエミ
Its a dirty game. Particularly in a final. She also got taken out herself in the semifinal. The best piece of skating I saw here was the korean staying up in the final. It may have cost her a couple placements, but WOW what control.

Congratulations Zhou Yang!!!!! The final race was so fantastic! Well done!
Love these full replays! Not enough short track on RUclips
agree, we need more full replays~!! still waiting for Sochi full replays.
Katherine Reutter's dirty move at 1:13:42 really affected other players. Korean the leader almost lost her balance, and Chinese player dropped from 2nd to 5th.

Amazing.
if you wanna win korea, you have to do very beautiful and clear chasing over. otherwise one of them will surely fall to bring you off the game. Great job, SY

感謝作者讓大家欣賞到了完整的影片,和完美 精彩的比賽 。👍👍👍👍👍👍
how on earth did Katherine Reutter not get disqualified?
because the referee made the right call
Because she didn't intentionally push the skater in front of her and no one fell down. Katherine was too close to the skater in her front. That was her way of skating. Asian skater don't skate that way.
It has nothing to do how Asian skaters skating.
Be fair!
It might be a good idea for her to learn Asian way then.
There are differences between trying to win and playing good.
Figure that out.
I wouldn't want to be a winner with shame.
Zhou Yang performed amazingly, in Vancouver as well as in Sochi. Not to say without any support from her teamates.
the show "skate into love" got me here.
Same here😂😂
Same to you
Same hhaha
Zhou Yang, Started from the bottom(5th) now she's there......
this race is so unbelievable a show down event where the recorded performance time for the first 7 finishers, of 8 skate sprinter finalists in this final, each break a newly set Olympic Record of 2:20:859 in an earlier elimination heat by Park Seung Hi ~
Wang Meng and Zhou Yang are my favorite.
I'm not judging but Katherine Reutter is very dangerous as she already made several player out of the game....
Up until that moment at 1:12 she had not been the instigator of any hit. The Chinese were the one's who caused those previous incidents and a replay of the race backs this up which is why she didn't get DQd and the Chinese did.
repeat offender
Officials blamed Chinese girl but it looked like Reutter made the same bad move twice.
🇰🇷: I just fouled. I have been fouling all the time. Why was this foul and I was dismissed? It’s not fair. I should be allowed to foul. How can I play if I don’t foul?
Nonono! You mistag the flag. It must be Chinese flag. That's right.
@ A classic Korean overtaking from the outside. Seems many shorter Korean players are trained for this. Great work Lee Eun-byul
zhou yang was so amazing!!
Perfect ending with clear-cut victory!
Wang Meng ...... God like level ...... Just win the race without a trace ....!
katherine reutter should be DQ twice!!!keep your hands away from other players!!(╰_╯)#
You must be blind too to not see the Chinese woman push her first.
Yes her operation was very premature
@@DATWagonator Whose name is?
Her blade kicked Park’s blade accidentally. What’s wrong with that? This is short track.

周洋一战封神!滑得太漂亮了!
Wowwwwww how amazing !!!
The way that Katherine hit the blue and red players in the final is exactly the same as she did in the semi, same position, same way
disgraceful
I find it absurd Reutter didn't get disqualified even though if not for the Korean woman's amazing coordination and reflexes that blatant push would have knocked her out of her 2nd place finish. Meanwhile in the 2010 Olympics 4000 m relay women's short track speed skating Korea got disqualified because one of their athletes just barely brushed past another athlete.
Maybe because you are a stupid woman who knows nothing about officiating sporting events. Or maybe you're just racist against American white women, take your pick.
corruption
Really amazing short skating competition
not an expert. but from an audience’s view, shouldn’t Reutter be DQed for interfering both Korean and Chinese athletes by her forced inside bypass?
So cool I don't how people do the that was a life of a life time there so awesome
Cho Ha Ri made me have goose bumps. Even her starting was not good but her last sprint was really awesome! Excellent!!

amazing performance by zhou yang !!! but yeah katherine reutter is a dirty player ..
I agree.
Tong N Pam Thao heyy smart one! go back and watch it again stupid...AND look who got disqualified in the event. The CHINESE Wang Meng! i know shes currently no.1 in 500m but WATCH where she places her hand during the cornering!!! Its right on Reutter. Wang literally tapped her knee and sliced her! By the way, are you even American??
I don't think the american one is a durty player... I think she had no intention to do that, because obviously she would be the most prejudiced. As it happened.
Why !! Sandy... it was an accident !!
Patricio Yuras i dont think it was an accident...
SunLinlin, you are amaizing!!!!!
Nice speedskater, ZHOU Yang.
I was amazed how Zhou's Olympics Record in the 2010 Olympics was able to remain in its place for 12 years until Choi, Korea's Proud Athlete broke the record in 2022 Olympics, in Beijing.
Yeah, especially after all these years of scandals and dramas inside the korean team.

the usa skater not balance enough to overtake from inside. usually only korean skaters able to do this but still very risky.

well done Korean players. you girls always satisfies our nation. Although it;s not gold, I appreciate every efforts you girls made! And congratulation for Park! for gaining gold medal in 1000m!
USA Katherine Reutter played dirty, fault twice. She should be out in the semi-final. Chinese Wang, Meng is innocent should stay for final. What a dirt politic played in sports!

Wang Meng is the GOD!
I don't think it's fair to accuse any athletes of behaving dirty. They are all hard-working skaters who can earn a position in Olympic. It's not easy, so none of them would like to waste one precious opportunity in this match just for interfering someone else.
As we all know that it's easy for people to lose their balance on the ice, isn't it? The answer is yes, especially in such a competitive match. Their first reaction is only to keep balance and there's little time for them to think about other things.
You clearly haven't watched enough short track matches, if so, you should easily see how Korean athletes fouled on purpose to let their teammates win.
@@gorohimalaya979 The Asians as a whole resort to dirty tactics. So funny to see how in the West we make them out to be so honorable in movies but the reality is they are some of the worst sports in all the world.
没有韩国的赛场可真是和谐 可真是干净 看着舒服啊
I love that the Asian women dominate short track. LOL
When you're Chinese you are bred from birth to do a job, and it is funny to see them come up second best to their Asian counterparts which is why they resort to pushing people.
@@DATWagonator Yep that's why the Chinese dominate, unlike in western country where you just start training in the middle of nowhere. That can't give you gold my friend.

Exactly… do how they judge but whatever
From reading all the negative comments towards Katherine .. I think it was just an accident but amazingly I have no idea how Zhou can win when she was at 5th place
+Candy Mak (SimplyMeCandy) because she is fast!
+Candy Mak (SimplyMeCandy) coz maybe u dont know Zhouyang is the only one who ever finished 1500m women short track speed skating within 2mins17secs, and this match was not her first time skating into 2mins17secs.
+Candy Mak (SimplyMeCandy) I agreed that it was just an accident. That is why Katherine was not disqualified. Korean's strategy is very clear: they want to skate together (side by side) so that other skaters was blocked to make Inside or outside pass. It was too classic. During the race, all the other skates tried hard to prevent Korean skaters to do so. Zhou was world rank No. 1 for this distance. After the bump (made by Katherine), Korean skaters were seperated. It is easier for Zhou to skate her way.
+Simon Liu,
you are wrong.
maybe chinese team like such a strategy what you said and carry out.
this is Olympic final.
it is very very important to each players.
So there in no strategy, nobody even coach can dictate any plan to undertake specific duty during skating.
Sacrificing herself for what at the very very crutial Olympic final game?
There is no strategy and no duty assigned at all on the Korean players shoulder.
Once in a life time chance for every girl skaters and Korean Coach leaves them free and just hoping their best during game.
this is korean team strategy........lol
busyhoney bee wow of course you would know. May I know if you ware the coach or the participant? Lol

She pushed her or am I wrong??
From your insightful comment, we know two women are involved in the collision
Katherine Reutter she shouldn't be allowed to play~ sorry to her fans but she's a dirty player..the should have been disqualified clearly
Another blind wamen who can't see reality in which she wasn't DQd because the Chinese player hit her first. This is why women need to keep their mouths shut about sports.

Funny how she wasn't DQd since it was the other party who initiated the contact.

진선유 선수 없으니 저우양 선수가 정말 날아다니네요 엄청 압도적;;
Wow as an American I am annoyed by the American contestants for one, falling every single time and two, pushing others while at it. S. Korea could've been first place had it not been for the American contestant
You mean 1:13:43 ? You call that dirty? I don't think she pushed the Korean girl on purpose though. It is inappropriate, but if she was intentional she would be disqualified. What would she get then? She simply lost her balance for one tenth seconds.
+Vivian Yunzhe Sun Well it really wasnt "Inappropriate" If she didnt mean it, if she did then it would be, just saying...It was just a Mistake
deriauna jones Yes I agree.
This is the only time I seen her initiate contact with someone. The other attempts people are complaining about were of other players hitting her first which ended in players wiping out. Since no one fell she didn't get DQd. But it seems the Asian people on the comments don't know how to watch a replay and determine this based on the results.
It’s not 1:13:43. It’s 1:13:28. Go back and watch it again it you didn’t see it. I believe 1:13:43 Probably is a mistake. And she lose her speed also after the 1:13:43 that contact
