Very interesting! I never knew this sport existed. They race very similar to professional long distance bike races. Where you draft behind each other, there are breakaways, and the main group is the peloton.
bicycle road racing without the saddle sores!
Jay B I don’t see much teamwork though
@@borisstarosta7823 Saddle sore only happens in the first weeks of cycling, or long ride distances
Weler Martins even the most seasoned gets them, if my memory serves me right.. last year or so a pro cyclist quit the tour because of one
@@borisstarosta7823 In actuality, saddle sores can be for life. After finishing 14 100+ mile cycling tours and another 50 half centuries, I retired from long distance cycling and now happily inline skate with no issues concerning my ass pain that I still experience when I lie down at night. My glutes continue to experience pain after all these years. Quit cycling now before you damage your prostrate and gluteas muscles permanently.
i didnt know theres this kind of race in the world
me too
right this is dope
Same here. 😅

I've competed at the North American Inline Skating Championships/Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota. Watching this makes me want to go to Barcelona.
Inline lives and is strong in Europe.
I've competed in both cycling and inline - I'll take inline any day.
Are you on 3 wheels?
Bart swings is A beast he does every kind of race 🇧🇪🇧🇪
Hahaha the ending when everyone’s hands were swinging like crazy 😂😂😂
dab
I would totally fart if someone was drafting me.
Yeh then you get a boost !
I was looking for the first person to drop this comment
Lentils and eggs is the best for the draft dropper.. the trick is not to blast at once .. you have to seep it 😂😂😂 pro cyclist here
If you fart while throwing a physical effort like that, it my be a “shart”
It will be a wet one. Just a forewarning
That was literally the funniest and most awesomeness thing I have ever seen.... I’m a fan.
I see you came from cycling too I guess this our future
Yeah!!
You clearly haven’t watched olympic speed walking
emily 😂🤣🤣🤣 this takes skill
@@StephenLaneRealEstate great cross training for cycling, as skating is weight bearing and cycling is not. higher heart rate, less miles and time. formerly raced both and coached many moons ago. club in almost every city in USA. indoor as well. indoor great place to learn, and less road rash while learning. much harder than cycling.
Those are the Best roller bearings I ever seen......Smooth as eggs
Wind constitutes most of the drag at that speed
18:44 Cool turn ! 🎽
I knew speed teams existed for skaters. I was on a team in the 90's, but never knew there was a marathon version of the sport. This would be way more fun than level, indoor rinks!! This makes me want to get back into long distance skating.
Imagine the back pain after a race like this
Ever heard about road racing ?
I watched a national speed skating marathon and I think only about 3 skaters could hold that position the whole race.
Oof..
The pain is real!
I did this for like 5 minutes and the pain is unbearable
From the thumbnail i thought they were naruto running
It's not far off.
Fellow cuber
Ah, i thought They were
They're about to invade Area 51
No.
Naruto skating
1:01:31 *Impressive*
Yeah what the hell was that third guy there. That's some intense pose to cross the finish line with. Hurts my balls just watching it
@@GOTHICforLIFE1 just imagine touching with the knee at +60km/h. Insane
That's how inline speed skaters finish. It's called hawking the line. Joey "Legs" Mantia probably does it best. www.inlineplanet.com/2007-worlds/Resources/joeymantiahawks.jpeg
@@gatticusfpv3174 I couldn't even spread my leg so far
@@lcberchtold1208 Right? Its friggin ridiculous particularly at the end of a long race .
The girl telling people to stop in the finish line has the best job lol
lol
Well, 1:01:21 is what happens when you ignore her. (Look at the sign in the background.)
try this in chicago, everyone will be falling over pot holes and cracks in the road
Man is been yearsss since I seen someone Rollerblade is crazy
For me this is much motor entertaining than a standard marathon. All about the speed man !
Lets see them try and do that on the crap roads in the uk, their wheel would fall off in a bout 5 seconds lol
I can imagine the potholes...
it would be raining anyway
UK roads have nothing on Irish roads😂
It really satisfying once they start because allot of people doing same motion at one time!
Which of you guys who are watching this during quarantine.
Not me
Excelente deporte, muy completo, desarrolla piernas y glúteos
I was wondering how fast they are going and then realised they finished a marathon in exactly an hour...so 42km/h
Nice
Remember that 42km/h is average so they likely went over 50km/h at high speed
@@N0pe_G duh
*Colombia los reyes del patinaje* 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great race! Excellent film coverage! Very competitive world-class racing!
I’ve never seen a city without potholes. 😂
You must be Americani
doctor: sit up straight to prevent dmg to your back.
these guys:
Look up the straight leg deadlift (romanian deadlift). Your back can be stable with your chest low.
It's hard to explain, but speed skating seems to help my back. I always kept it straight and the coach kept telling me to relax and arch. No problems and a back that feels very good after. Perhaps I'm damaging it little by little without realizing though, who knows...
That advise is outdatet. The 126° posture especially pupils instinctively adopt helps the back because the back-rest of the chair takes more weight of your back. Just FYI :)
@@vanopnt maybe because it trains your glutes and core, which keeps the back straight when standing up, relieving pain in the end?
Im amazed how they are so synchronize
My thighs are burning just watching this. Don't recall ever getting up to those apparent speeds on quads
This is cool, should be an olympic sport
skating at speed of 50kph is dope dude
yeah they were movin!
bravo Ewen bien emmené le sprint.Belle course d'equipe.Champion France.
3rd place guy is the real winner
Absolutely mental, i love it!
Best race I have ever seen
Proud skater ❤️❤️
I wanna see this but in the Swiss Alps
I'd watch that.
1:01:32 dude in the red is trying really hard for 3rd place.
Yeah. I really like that way he winning the third place. 😂
So amuse. At the same time, it's funny too. 😅
hahaha he had the best finish pose
It’s Felix Rijhnen
The feeling of watching Tour de France.
Hahha
it would be really fun if they held hands while they did this
Hahahahahaha
The second they put their hands behind their back separates the amareurs from the professionals.
this is sick! I would love to do one of these marsathons.
Increíble ver esta cantidad de patinadores genial
Damn i totally would join this just to have a whole road to drive on...
there is a club in almost every city in USA. indoor racing too.
So fast, and no brakes. Awesome.
1:01:28 third-place ballerino?????? great!!!
Would like to listen to English version so I'd have a little bit of an idea what's going on... Just the amount of competitors Is impressive on it's own
In this Busy world Everything becomes Race Just like Running,Running A Marathon whoever run until the end with patient and great strength will win the race, during your race you will see different kinds of obstacles you will see different kinds of people with different kinds of moods. But the race determine you how you performs during your training times or off fields. So Everything is what you do during your free time determines the true Version of yourself
super fantastic aussie came second place well done team
I have serious questions about my sanity for clicking on this.
Wish they did this in the States. They are hauling! I wouldn't want to crash!
There are several speed skating races in the US like Northshore inline marathon, NY Skate marathon & 100K just to name 2...
I guess the 125 revolution is here. Never thought everyone would be on three wheels so quickly.
Lol watch Berlin Inline marathon 2015!
Now I'm for an anime sport to be released like this sport :D
What's the name of the anime?
genial zum schauen super !
i like how they casually go to someone's back and draft
Bonjour a tous
Félicitations à tous les participants
Courage
Never know these skates are so fast.
They're as fast as bicycles
Its beautiful & wonderful
Absolutely watchable!
My spine hurts from just watching this video.
I have to double my speed on this distance to be a world championat... Nice.
Hay mexicanos en el vídeo xd
Hola :v
In theory, if group of skaters made a train, and worked together, hand on back, pushing from back to front, they'd be able to go faster than any one else
Watching this makes my back hurt
Speed skating both indoors and outdoors really does kill your back. Sit ups to strengthen the abs and lower back are a must or else you will be dying before the end of practice.
back hurts just watching this
I lived in Barca fir a while & never heard or see this
Love it!
Que chimba como se ven correr
Unos monstruos

Amazing, no breaks...👍🏼😁
How is nobody talking bout the synchronization!??!
1:01:33 can we talk about that guy? How does he do that 😂
its a lunge used to steal the win so you put one foot forward and one foot back and lean back and lean the front foot back
Fsstic Ya vaya a ver a ver
That looks a lot of fun!
But it's very very very tiring.
i would to train and compete here and represent my country... i love inline skating.....
I trail run casually but I would prefer this but it's a thing you can't do anywhere.
So cool! Very impressive!
eliud + roller = 30min marathon
Nearly every road cyclist: Completely engrossed in minimal aero gains.
Professional roller bladers:Let me change the status quo.
I am VERY new to skating, and every time I watch videos people make things look so easy and effortless. I'm over here trying to learn how to slow down and stop reliably at
Ya I'm sitting here dreading the thought of skating at max potential for an hour straight
@@Criam Well they definitely don't do max potential the whole time. Pacing and knowing your limits and what you can save for the end takes a lot of practice and training
Great sport! But it's like a flat bike race. Needs hills to break up the pack. What country are these Spanish speakers from?
Looks fun
Wait this is legit real ? Whoa cool
Bart Swings is good 👍
very cool
At 1:01 you can hear him saying "No homo"
Lmao
Preciosa carrera
I love the moves #glow brills
Me: mm i'd like to watch asmr
RUclips: yeah lets put him some men rollerblading
lol
Fun to watch. They need some hills to thin out the herd.
