I hope you guys enjoyed watching the first episode In the Footsteps of the Franklins. This trip was by far my most challenging, yet enjoyable trip thus far. New episodes will be released every Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30pm for the following few weeks. I have just managed to enable the ‘Super Thanks’ button on my page next to the like button, if you want to support the channel with a small donation feel free. Thank you to everyone who has supported the channel and enabled me to get to where I am today and I look forward to sharing the rest of my adventures with you all. Rob.
Who doesn’t love a good series mate! If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t even know half these places exist in my own state! Thanks for the great footage you show of our beautiful state bro 👍🏻
Erin you are so right!! I champion Rob every day becuase I see his genuine value to humanity ( no.. I'm not a weirdo, or obsessed lol) but I see his contribution to preservation and celebration of both nature and true human spirit, how it should be. .. keep this one! He's a rare and wonderful specimen Hahaha his art and spirit has genuinely kept me alive on more than one dark night.
As a fellow traveller who routinely researches vintage literature to enhance my engagement with the places I visit or as a source of information which allows me to rediscover long forgotten beauty spots this series really connects. I'd still enjoy the armchair adventure ride Rob takes us on without all the historical stuff but with it, it just engages you with the journey on a palpably deeper level. Being familiar with the enormous amount of time and effort such research can take and the excitement when you finally get into the field and track down these places (particularly when you have to earn it) I just so engage with Rob's excitement when he finally summits. Thanks Rob, amazing stuff, this totally deserves to go viral, can't wait to see future episodes.
I grew up doing this shit, in the thickets and buttongrass plains, and fields of richea scoparia...best memories. . The kind of memory that brings a smile that lasts a lifetime.
You are the true meaning of life. Having an aura brighter than any star. you have achieved more than any amount money can buy. You help inspire so many people and have an enormous positive impact on us all so Thank you for what you do, you saved me from myself and given me new life in an otherwise dark world. Tasmania is the most beautiful place on Earth 🤗🤗🤗
This is a step up Rob. Amazing stuff. There’s nothing like this on RUclips. Also I thought the music in this video was less niche and more palatable to more people (myself included). I think this is my favourite channel now. Can’t wait for the next episode
I'm so stoked to hear that! The music was a big leap for me, I've been so reliant in the past about using songs that I thought were the PERFECT song, but it still did not suit many viewers. So this makes me very happy that you think this music works good. Thanks!
Wowwwww Rob!! Soooo excited to see the rest of this!! After suffering some severe health problems I havnt been able to hike in quite a while, this is like being able to scratch an itch... truly a breath of fresh air just to watch... so thanks ✌️
Mate, you are an inspiration!! I've been hanging for this since I saw the teaser the other day 😁 I love how you make it feel that we the watchers are there with you. Thank you and keep up the awesome work 👍👍
That view!! Amazing to see it with the words narrated by the Franklins expedition team. My Australian cattle dog and I are set to return to Australia next week after our own expeditions of sorts lasting since 2018 across Malaysia and Singapore. Prior we had travelled the QLD Gulf country, channel country and all throughout the West. You are inspiring our future travels back home, as we long for the night sky filled with stars and the milky way. Again how was that view! Cant wait to see your future episodes.
Well worth the wait for the video looking forward to seeing the rest, magnificent scenery and light. great camera work and editing, many thanks for sharing. You are very though with your research and planning.
I helped to pull down the old hydro line along the lyell highway there's some magic views all along that area when u get up on the Ridge lines esp if u was lucky enough to climb an old tower so u could see above the scrub magic it brings back memories from 1996 well done Rob a must watch series thank you I'm no longer fit enough to visit many thanks rob
Thanks Rob for sharing this walk and this story with us. Your videos are great to watch and inspiring. It was so interesting to see Frenchman’s cap from such a different angle to what I have seen before. Looking forward to see the rest of the trip. Thank you again!
Had this in my Watch Later list waiting for good session where I could sit down and enjoy it. Did not disappointment. Amazing job! Look forward to getting through the others and any more episodes to come.

Awesome. This will be good. I wouldn't be surprised if you make a feature film one day. 5 June. Finally going to watch all episodes back to back. Worth the wait no doubt
Hiking in Tasmania is on my bucket list since I started watching Rob’s videos. The tourism board should just put him on salary and let him do whatever he wants.
Amazing beginning to this epic journey I'm completely frothing for the next and every episode to come You Sir should be National Geographics poster boy 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Walking in the footsteps of the Franklin's through that beautiful country must be exhilarating! So enjoy the history and you are an inspiration for taking on the task! :) I love exploring myself although in a much smaller scale but it never ceases to delight and amaze me in many ways. Thanks for sharing your epic adventure, looking forward to the next episode! :) :)
Brillliant. We were actually at Lake St Clair that night, prior to our weekend walk to Mt. Olympus. It was a cold night! Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks Rob just awesome. Am currently cycling through France and had get the iPad out when I had good Wi-Fi so could check it out. Can’t wait for the next one.
Rob, mate, you certainly like the track less traveled. Oh, sorry, what bloody track. Those vistas, those valleys, those plains, that bloody scrub. Can’t wait for the next episode. Cheers

Great stuff Rob. This really is TV worthy. The fact you research adds so much meaning and relevance. I do hope one day you try to retrace Alexander Pearce but without the need to eat anyone.
Fantastic first episode Rob, that view of Frenchman’s was epic! I was thinking about snakes as you traipsed through the buttongrass and scrub. Up here in QLD they are all looking for a bit of sun like the one you came across! The floods have gifted us with snakes on the move and an over-abundance of leeches, worst luck. Looking forward to next episode!
Hi Rob, I watch a lot of adventurous content and youtube recommended one of your latest videos. I was hooked instantly, the nature over there is absolutely stunning, and you are a pleasant person to watch. So I subscribed and scrolled back, I'm just about to start to join you in the Franklin's adventure. Thanx for all the hard work and sharing this with us. All the best, Dominic from the Netherlands.
Bloody beautiful Rob, I never get sick and tired of seeing how you present Tasmania rob like it should be none of that campervan stuff setting up a tent as it should be. Can't wait till next week's🤠✌ episode... Pete from Devonport
