Can I use Volkswagen ID on a used vehicle that I bought from an owner who has already registered his profile? That is, is the volkswagen ID used exclusively on new vehicles or can it be registered on a used vehicle as well? I created my ID via pc, and I would like to become the primary user. I was not allowed to take any steps because when I want to delete the profile of the previous user, I get a message that the keys will be deleted and that the user will be notified via email that his profile has been deleted.
I had the app and I deleted my profile bye mistake on the car it now won’t let me pass become primary user I followed all the instructions but I am stuck on becoming primary users
Thanks for the video. I had my infotainment software updated today and my Passat lost my log in details - I've entered them again, but my profile is now shown with a padlock on it and cannot be accessed. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks
Hi, have you clicked on to it and if so does it get you to enter a S PIN? Normally it just means you’ll need to enter your 4 digit S PIN to log in. If you don’t know this you can go into your app and reset the S PIN.
I notice in your video that the globe icon on your screen is coloured white - mine is grey - which makes me think the car is not properly connecting to the outside world. This is whether I try to use the car's own sim, or whether I connect it using wifi
@@jonathanatkinson5256 normally that’s to do with the server and is a known issue that sometimes we connect in general can’t connect to the server and it just doesn’t work. Try having a play with the privacy settings. Volkswagen have a designated We Connect help desk as there are quite a few known issues. Normally the way to resolve them is quite long winded instruction list though and I can’t remember any of the top of my head unfortunately
What is your model and age and I’ll see if I can remember or find out where it would be. Normally it’s in settings or on the main menu where it says car net then click settings within there

I am unable to activet car net, even though it instructs me to connect to WIFI, (which I do) it then asks for a code which I provide then it just says service unavailable. I am pretty saavy with tech, i did a factory reset incase that would help but nothing seems to be working Not the end of the world as it has car play but still

Yes it will show you the last location of the vehicle

@@jonathanatkinson5256 could be signal on the car or it could be the app playing up, if it preserves normally worth talking to your local VW retailer

Where is the user page? I have car net aparently, but there is no users page

Unfortunately not, Volkswagen don’t have that function
