In addition, many people don't know that you can wait for the amniotic sac to reseal under certain circumstances. If it breaks prematurely and you want to try to wait for it to reseal (obviously after discussing with your provider) you CANNOT put ANYTHING into the vagina. That includes avoiding cervical exams, vaginal exams, vaginal intercourse, and vaginal ultrasound. It introduces foreign bacteria that can go past the cervix (because the mucus plug is now gone and the waters are broken), which opens you up to potential bacterial infection and will then put you on a timeline for your birth. If you are given the go ahead to wait and it reseals, the fluid can return to normal levels and the mucus plug can reform.
I am 38 weeks today and I randomly found your channel like two weeks ago. All of these videos are just perfect timing and thank you so much for all that you do.❤️
Me too....... going through all the videos on the channel. Am glad you said in one of the videos that it doesn't matter whether we are already almost giving birth.
this is soooo helpful as a FTM!! i have so many clothes it’s probably ridiculous, i just kept hearing how often you change their outfits a day bc of spit up and poo but i didn’t even think about not even clothing them was an option lol. i just found your channel last night and i absolutely love and appreciate your content so much as i prepare for natural birth (36 weeks!), can’t wait to binge all your videos ☺️

your videos really helping to understand more and more about giving birth ...as a first time mom now i know more than what I've been told which i appreciated it alot may allah bless you
Chanel you’re so beautiful and a tremendous blessing to pregnant moms! I’m sharing your videos/info with prego friends. I think I’ve had my last baby! 7 is plenty! 😆😊
Thank you for your kind words and for supporting this important work! I appreciate you! Great job mama, time to love on your other not so little babies now ;)
How long does it take for the cord to fall off naturally? And how did you keep it connected to the baby whilst they are with clothes on/ wrapper? ❤ I want to try do that
Dad should be skin to skin with baby as much as possible too! I usually recommend partners having skin to skin with baby once mama has her golden hour (or two).
Great video! I’m less than a week postpartum with my preemie NICU baby. Unfortunately I had to go the c-section route because I became high risk very quickly, had no amniotic fluid left and later found out post surgery that I have a Unicornuate Uterus so apparently full term pregnancy isn’t usually an option. But with all of that going on thanks to many resources and moms like you I was able to opt for a a gentle c-section and do immediate skin to skin because she came out healthy and singing 😂. I’ve spent many hours with her on my chest the days following her arrival because I was warned of a possible delayed bond with your baby because of the type of delivery. You’re doing wonderful works. Keep it up. Knowing is powerful.
This is wonderful mama! Even though the delivery didn't go as planned, you still made the best of it and had the resources to make informed decisions! I am so proud of you mama!!!!
I am so glad I have found your channel! I am going to be a first time mom and am currently 24weeks pregnant. Thank you for taking the time to make videos to help me and other mothers 🩵

The vernix also has anti microbial properties

Hey Thank you for the video! Question: is it also important for the father to have equal skin to skin time? Greetings from Holland
My husband and I are planning for him also have skin to skin after the baby have the golden hour with me ♥️
