I threw out my Balenciaga merchandise and will NEVER buy from them again. Abuse of children is never acceptable. I’m proud that people are standing up and saying no more.
The only issue I have is when people don‘t buy from Balenciaga anymore, but support brands like Dolce & Gabbana! It‘s valid to not buy from Balenciaga anymore after their scandal, but it proves that after a few yrs, people will forget about the wrongdoings of a brand. D&G are just as bad and problematic (so are many other luxury brands), but it always raises the question - how long is it really gonna last? Cause as soon as a new creative team comes in, scandals are "forgotten"
I am a teacher with a small budget. To celebrate me turning 40 and having a baby in the pandemic 😮 I saved and rewarded myself with LV Neverfull. I chose it because it is a classic, but I got in in Damier ebene so it’s not as flashy and obvious. Another reason is that its just practical for my lifestyle. As a working woman and a mum, what would I stuff in a micro bag, nothing😂The dupes don’t bother me that much, when I see them on somebody I just smile and feel a bit more special, like Ive got the original, I know.
No offense but people with small budgets are the ones who buy the never fulls. They seem comfortable and everyone with some spare change has some. I would've gone with something more tasteful
I totally agree, the Neverfull is a great bag if you have a baby. I can fit EVERYTHING inside, diapers, bottles, toys...everything the baby needs and also my own stuff. I use it a lot and the canvas is pretty much unstainable, no matter how much projectile vomiting there is😂
The Neverfull tote is a wonderful choice for a practical tote. People judging someone or their income by their bag is absolute nonsense too. I had a job where I regularly interacted with wealthy philanthropists and I saw Neverfulls, Hindmarch and even Coach and Tory Burch.
I agree with these and would like to add something else to consider when choosing your first (and possibly only) handbag: practicality. What type of occasion do you want it for? How much do you carry around? How gentle or hardwearing are you with your belongings? Etc. Whichever bag you buy should fit a certain need in your wardrobe, especially if you're just starting out on building your collection or don't have the finances to make a purchase like this semi-regularly. Of the ones you showed, the Neverfull is the only one that appears the most practical, if we're looking at these bags from a daily needs perspective, but even that bag has its limits. I don't pretend to be in the luxury world or know enough about the LV brand to say if a bag like that cracking after 10 years is normal, but I would hope that for the price a bag like that would be able to withstand more years of use.
I feel like YSL is the best for a first bag these days. They have some really classic designs, with and without logos, can work in many situations, not too trendy but not too "old" looking.
Love the boy bag! Perfect chain length, unlike the classic flap. They sell base shapers for the bottom, but I never experienced saggy bottom and never had corner wear on my very beautiful, unique, Metiers d’ Art glazed calfskin version. Looks immaculate after 3 years.
The world must be off its axis-we differ on these points. 😁 I don’t have LV everyday bags but my keepall, which I use a lot and do not baby, has no signs of wear. It’s about 6 years old. I still have my Le Cagole and I love it. That said, I didn’t get too deep on the Balenciaga saga. From what little I know I just find it hard to believe that the house was dog whistling some dark underbelly of the world that victimises children. Perhaps I am naïve? Lastly, my mini jodie in pool (blue) is the best march for a casual baby blue jeans look- I absolutely love it! Different strokes for different folks ~ thanks for another great video Sophie xx
About the Chanel boy, get a base shaper and problem solved!! I have a medium flap, mini rectangular and the boy bag. I like to carry the boy bag the most because it’s spacious (with the base shaper inserted) and can be carried as a crossbody bag. My boy is in caviar leather with ruthenium hardware. The leather is thick and really durable. The ruthenium hardware is great and I never have to worry about scratches. I have really long thick hard and the hardware on the strap never pull my hair too. So not sure what people are complaining about. 🤷♀️
I know the BV mini Jodie didn't work for you, but I have the teen and small size and love them both. The teen size for summer and the small size more for colder months. And I love the quality of the BV bags!
The medium Chanel Boy bag in Caviar Leather is the best bag for me ever. If you put an insert, the bag holds iits shape , does not wear-out and is extremely usable. I wear it every single day for 3 years now, and it still looks like new!
This is why I have yet to buy mine. I know too much about the brands and I am calculating all of that into the value of cost. It's both financial and moral for me. I don't care if it's classic so much as morally acceptable, financially practical at the time of purchase and something that brings me joy...so anyway itkll be an off-white and as loud and annoying as their designs are I like them and look forward to finally enjoying mine (suits my daily style well which is a bit more Street). It's helpful of you to discuss this, I feel it isn't brought up nearly enough.
I sold my hourglass after the fiasco which I was gutted about as I loved it and hadn’t had it long but I just couldn’t enjoy it anymore. The boy bag is forever on my wish list even with its faults I just love the look ❤ love the video as always xx
Fakes are nothing new. When I bought my first (authentic) LV monogram bag in 1980, there were fake LV bags out there. But, I liked the LV monogram pattern and bought it whether there were fakes or not. I still have my large Speedy bags and two hard sided Bisten suitcases in the original monogram, bought in the 1980s. I bought LV monogram mostly in the 80s and 90s, but also bought a few small monogram items after the 90s. I moved on to Epi in the early 2000s. There are plenty of fakes of a lot of designer brands. If one were to buy bags going by whether or not there were fake equivalents out there, then one wouldn't be buying many bags or anything else. And as for Bottega bags and "trendy", it depends on what style Bottega bag one buys. I'm not into the Jodi bag at all, but have plenty other Bottega bags of which all of them except for two are intrecciato weave and lined in suede. My Bottega bags have and will also easily stand the test of time. I'm not going to write off Bottega due to some of their bags being more trendy. Most designers do some trendy bags. Plus, who says that one's first bag has to be from what's currently on designer websites? If one want's to be non-cookie cutter, then search for bags that aren't necessarily current ones. Tomas Maier was at Bottega for 17 years and produced some great items. Just two years ago, I got a Tomas Maier-Bottega bag on resale for hardly anything and it was in mint condition. Gorgeous bag. Instead of just going to current designer websites, there are plenty of resale websites and also resale websites like 1sDibs that carry both vintage bags, newer bags, and also a lot of vintage clothing. Think out of the box. Greetings from Los Angeles
Hi sophie great informative video as always. What I wanted to say was if you could do a video next on a variety of bags you reccomend buying for different price ranges. From low to high. ❤
Hi Sophie, great video. I have a Bottega camera bag which is quite nice. I don’t like the rockstud look that much by Valentino but I recently bought a pink clutch with loop handle. Both were pre-loved. I really liked an iridescent plum boy bag but the sales lady said I should not buy it as my first bag so I didn’t. But I loved the colour and still wish I had bought it. LV patent/vernis is gorgeous. Just be careful with it. Hard leather bags are also great but don’t have much give. I would recommend to everyone being careful with all your bags. Enjoy them! 🎉
So I just bought two Louis Vuitton Crossbody bags I’m going to see how they were overtime now that you’re talking about the cracking. Thank you for doing this video. I love you so much.
I feel exactly the same about Balenciaga but people do have short memories these days so they will probably survive. I have a VL Kensington bag which is probably classed as vintage now and it's still as good as the day I got it even after years of use and love, luck of the draw I guess but my most loved bag is my small Lady Dior ABC, it's my forever bag which I will never sell and as much as I have always wanted a Chanel Classic Flap I will never buy one because of the ridiculous prices they are now, it's money I would rather invest somewhere else.
Our minister was talking about chosing a mate. He suggested people try to talk you out of marrying a specific person. If you still want to marry them, knowing their weaknesses, then you've chosen the right person. Seems like that with these bags, lol. If you know the problems and still want to buy them, you're going to love them. To change the subject, have I followed you since 2018? I remember that silver bag and jealous that you scored, wanting one too. But one season later I didn't, exactly like you're saying. Silver, it's a show stopper. And that style is highly popular still, according to Cassie on youtube. Thanks for sharing, Sophie.
I think either get something, that has a great resell value or something that you have loved for years. If the latter is the case, you most likely will love it for a long time to come.
Oh, I could not disagree more about the LV Speedy. Bought mine 20 years ago and it is still a bag I love to reach for. Yes, it now looks vintage, but the monogram canvas has worn exceptionally well. But it also suits my casual style, so I personally would repurchase again and again (but I don't have to, because it lasts ...)
I'm so sad about the way the LV classics have gone. I have several canvas bags, include a few Speedys, but now they'd be considered 'vintage.' At any rate, they're perfect and I've not babied any of them. So It can only be be lack of quality control at LV.
Love your videos Sophie! Long time subscriber here! Every time you show off your damaged Chanel boy bag I keep hoping you'll take it to The Restory one day to see how they can repair it. I think this would be great content to see someday. That and it would be great having your old Chanel trainers cleaned up as well! Hope you'll consider this for a future video please! ❤
Happy Wednesday everyone ❤. I agree with you Sophie 🙂. While I wouldn't call any luxury items basic necessarily, I would say these just aren't worth the money. Have a great day and thanks for sharing.
You are on point 👍🏻 I bought the speedy 28 20 years ago only wore it twice , the neverfull I gave it to my daughter cause the thin straps hurt my shoulder also kept opening
I have a different attitude. I think what works for my lifestyle so mini bags are a no. I don't care if the bag will withhold 20 years. Who knows someone might steal from you or you spill on it. Also I might be dead/handicapped. (hopefully not). I buy for me and my pleasure now.I buy what I can "afford" to lose and it's not investment. I care about the style, not trendy vs classic. Also don't care much if people recognize it or not. However, my first ventures- lady dior bags were called "granny bags" and the tote is too logo for me. It's all personal. So ultimately - buy for you, your pleasure. People think about you way less than you think. You probably think about yourself most of the time as you should :)
I am interested in a what to buy instead video for a first bag. Would be good to know if you still think it’s a no even for the leather versions of LV and prada! As always very helpful videos ❤❤
Another fantastic video, with reasoning, of why you shouldn't buy one of these bags as your first designer bag. There are some mid range bags which a lot of people choose first to try out the water, such as Coach, Michael Kors, etc. I found that you really need to find a bag which suits you, and what you intend to carry. I would like to see your choices on the bags you personally recommend to buy, and what to look for/really test, before purchasing a designer bag. I think a LOT of us purchase a designer bag if we can find a good price/sale. Perhaps that's why outlets are fabulous. All the looking without the need for a SA to overshadowing your first purchase, as a lot of people may be nervous and don't want to feel pressured?
You should buy what you like. Instead of following trends and what others deem “classics”. Because a classic bag is very objective. What i deem classic bags, is not what someone else think it is classic. Just stick to your personal style and personal preferences. I still wear “out of fashion” bags. Because i love them. Idc what others think
With Balenciaga, I love that they tried to blame it on the advertising company that they used because my husband who works in advertising and has done so most of his professional career said there is no way that the advertising agency would have THAT much creative control.
Bottega is heavily priced and resell isn’t great BUT I love them so much more than any other brand of bags. Always have. The only other bag brand I somewhat enjoy is Hermes and the occasional Gucci bag.
Going for an expensive bag (first or twenty first), I'd always think about how you want to wear it. Then think about the cheaper bags you use in this way - what you like about it, and what you don't like about it. For me, I'd never buy an expensive evening only bag, as I'm 52 and tbh we don't go out out very much and when we do it's more of a casual vibe (jeans and a nice top). So I want my bags (and clothes) to be able to go from day to night with ease. I wouldn't mind if it's not considered a classic, as long as I really feel it'd be a classic in my wardrobe. Resale is not something I consider, as I don't plan to get rid of my bags any time soon. As for being put off by over exposure of an item - a thousand times, yes! But then it's often on social media, but irl not so much as I live in a small rural town in Denmark. If I lived in a large city, it'd be different. I've don't think I've ever seen a Chanel bag (other than one that was a bit like LV's multi pochette but with a CC logo, I'm thinking it doesn’t count), and definately not Hermes. Mostly, it's Gucci, LV, and Mulberry (the latter are always in black or tan), and there's a certain amount of Gucci that looks as though it may not be the real deal. As for Van Cleef & Appels, I have an item on my wishlist from another premium jewellery brand, it's just as spendy, but I fell in love with it years ago, and I'm still in love...
Yes please do a video showing bags to get for a first bag purchase. I’m a Returning subscriber from pre Covid and have been binging your newer content!
I would love a new updated video about buying the first designer bag! I was thinking about getting a Alma BB for years but my cousin has one and the quality is terrible for the price. I'm thinking about getting an Ysl Cassandra mini instead because I love top handle bags. I dream about getting a vintage Chanel classic flap from the 90s though. My mother bought a new one last year from the Chanel store and the gold hardware has lost its color. I've heard that the vintage ones have better quality.
Sophie please do a “what I should buy” that would be amazing! I made the mistake of buying a neverfull and whilst I do love it… I think my money could have been better spent elsewhere. I also purchased the Noènoè larger size (on a whim) and never again! I need new suggestions! X
Hi, thanks for the great video. Totally agree on your points. To add on, do not own the BV bag, my fren has one. the intrecciato leather is very soft and buttery, but the leather is very thin, hence it does not wear well too. Jus my opinion.
Thank you for this great video, I recently bought a ysl Lou bag and now I am buying the Chloe small Tess bag. I find both of these bags super valuable and will use them all the time. But I am so annoyed by all the fakes, there are so many women who wear fake bags all the time and think they are chic and stylish. 😂
Sophie, have you seen the new IKEA advert that shows a row of designer bags (not)? Sooooo funny 😂😂😂😂 btw I met Enrique in Dior yesterday. He was so lovely, we struck up a rapport. It’s only today the penny dropped this was your Enrique 😮 he’s so incredibly lovely. 💕
Hello lovely!! Yes I know the advert, very funny! I think it’s the one where his designer bags are ikea bags?! I’m so glad you met Enrique, isn’t he lovely?! I hope you had a great day 🥰xx
Agree. I bought a Mulberry Bayswater tote 👜 in Oak and wear it every day - and it’s still in mint condition. I bought a liner for the base to keep the inside clean.
I understand your concept of exclusivity, I don’t like items that everyone has, I tried to buy original classic pieces. But when it comes to jewelry, there’s just something about you, knowing that it’s real and it’s genuine and it makes you feel good, egardless of whether it’s everywhere there’s just, pride or prestige that comes with wearing fine jewelry regardless of whether or not it’s being duped by two also like one of a kind pieces.
all luxury brands work with sweatshops, the leather is outsourced from china, and only some are handmade and made in europe or italy; shop leather, shop quality, shop long lasting
Great video! Completely agree with your choices (unless you totally love one of these bags of course), although I have always loved your Valentino bag! 🤭 I also think the fendi peekaboo is a good choice as a first bag, has been around for some time now and will work for many people - what do you think? Personally I love that bag, just waiting for the perfect version for me 🤗
I don't conflate bags and brands. I have two awesome Balenciaga bags and am still rocking them. Who cares what happened with corporate shit like the advertising campaign. Doesn't diminish my love for the bags one bit.
Lots of RUclipsrs have warned against buying a Boy bag. I can't help it. I want one so bad! 🤣. I should defer to those that know more. I just love the look of them so much! Thank you for the advice! Have a great day!
Sophie, will you ever sell your silver Valentino? I have been looking for that exact one for a few years since you showed it in one of your videos. I believe it was filmed at a park? Anyways they have come out with several similar styles but I LOVE the one you have. To me it is a classic with my style. I could see me having worn it 10 years ago, today, and 10 years from now with my style. Please let me know if you decide to.
Interesting about Van Cleef. Because there are so many knock offs. Cartier is no longer doing the servicing of the love bracelet because it’s just so many knock offs they’re not even authenticating them anymore.
Disagree about Bottega, except the bag you showed, which is obviously a failed design. There are many, many Bottega bags, old and new, worth the money. Good video.
The Speedy 25 wasn’t my first bag but it’s one of my best bags. When people buy vintage LV they take it in to replace the leather. The canvas is hard wearing but you’re right it can crack. Not sure what causes it.
Yes please do a video of bags that we SHOULD buy if we are only going to have one. Please include a variety of price options for those of us who will never be able to afford LV or Chanel
I finally bought my first bag. Balmain B Buzz bag. Saved about 70% buying it from Vestiare collective. Its beautiful and the leather looks and smells amazing but the hardware is so disappointing! I'd be mad if I bought it new. It's black and the paint chips as soon as you look at it to reveal gold underneath, had some wear from the previous owner and ive added quite a bit more already. My boyfriend just said why didn’t Balmain powder coat it it?? For such an expensive item they sure cheap out on some weird things, thankfully its gloss not matt so I'll touch it up with metal paint when it gets bad enough. Its honestly put me off buying more "luxury" items, particularly new. Even though the quality is better than my other leather bags it's not as dramatic as I thought it would be.
I think you need to decide where or how you can use a bag and occasion . I wore my mini Jodie to my son’s graduation but you can also wear it on a date night. I just wish I didn’t invest in epi leather in YSL speedy
Thanks a bunch Sophie ya kinda ruined it for me 😂 J/k. I think my first will be the Givenchy Antigona mini, Celine Drummed Micro Luggage Bag (pre-loved) Micro and it’s a stunner but I’m boring and structured so it’s for me, or the medium Gucci Ophiedia tote bag. Just narrow it down for me. Thanks 😇
Good video and topic. It’s interesting getting an honest opinion about these bags. It would be interesting to hear the same topic but focused on ready to wear. What do you think is worth buying and not worth buying. My Chanel SA was discussing ready to wear with me last year, but I held off as I’m more if a bag expert and know very little about ready to wear.
Last mth there was a huge sale for Singapore and Malaysia and we can purchase online and have items sent to our homes and there’s so many items on huge discounts . Balenciaga is not doing well last few yrs .
Hang on Sophie, the Neverfull and the Speedy you advise against buying as they are classics and therefore open to being copied/faked/popular but then you say the Valentino rockstud bag isn’t worth buying because although it’s a great bag, it isn’t a classic; that doesn’t make any sense 🧐😅. The Chanel classic flap is copied just as much as the LV classics… classic bags are popular and popular bags will always be copied. To anyone looking to buy their first luxury bag, buy what you are drawn to most and ignore others’ opinions because these things are phenomenally expensive for what they are. If you want a trend piece over a classic then go for it - it will bring you way more pleasure buying what your heart wanted.
It's a shame about your Chanel boy bag Sophie, sadly the problem is the fragile lambskin. I have 2 Chanel boy bags that I still love and wear to death. Both are from 2016, one is a medium navy quilted and the other a medium black chevron, both in calfskin. I don't baby them by any means and they still look brand new. The calfskin is thicker gorgeous and sumptuous, more durable than lambskin. Also I have bag inserts for them which i think helps keep their structure. Would you consider selling it and trying one (pre loved perhaps) in a more durable leather (?) because the bag suits you so beautifully. x💖
Hello Does anyone know if she did do a video about what to buy as first bag? Juste discovered her videos, love how she speaks the truth and lets others have their opinion based on what she explains🥳
How do you think Givenchy holds up as in quality? I'm really interested in the Antigona mini in calfskin, but also not too sure if the handles or the strap bother me too much.
Loved the insight into this video! I have a question, do you use handbag liners / base shapers in your bags? I do on all of mine to protect them incase I wanted to sell them in future. I think they could also prevent some of the issues you are having with the shape!
10:11 = 🚫 Apologies in advance if u own or love one 🙏🏼 However...(IMHO)...this one @ 10:11 looks...(to me 🤷🏽♂️)...like one of those freebie hand / make-up bags u receive with your purchase during a Cosmetic or Fragrance Promotion. True - It'll genuinely be from the brand. However it'll be a style u've never seen b4 the promotion. And won't see afterwards either. Then come December...u'll see it in the 'odds & sods' department store discount bin. During the sale. And u str8 away remember the promotion. That accompanied the bag 😅. Rather than the other way round 🤷🏽♂️
I think a lot of these bags if you hold onto them 10 to 15 years from now vintage will be a thing again and people will be seeking these bags out and that’s when you’ll get your money back. Because they always bring back or re-issue their most popular bags.
Thank you for this wonderful review. Balenciaga advertising completely disgusting! Never liked their items anyway Chanel boy bag is in my wish list, now not too sure I have been waiting for the right color Have you experienced the same problem with double flap or 2.55? I imagine it can happen with the 19 too.
I threw out my Balenciaga merchandise and will NEVER buy from them again. Abuse of children is never acceptable. I’m proud that people are standing up and saying no more.
you could have sold them???
My advice as a luxury consumer, buy what makes you truly happy, what make you thrilled and excited just to think about, and you going to be fine
Good comment ...I feel the same way .... just buy what makes you happy 😊
You make a great point- buying because a bag is a “good deal” and not because you LOVE it is a mistake.
The only issue I have is when people don‘t buy from Balenciaga anymore, but support brands like Dolce & Gabbana! Not too "granny", elegant, not too expensive. Just classy for me. The sweet spot of the bag tbh.

True! I have the small - no sagging
This was a fun video Sophie. I would say the YSL loulou puffer is a great first bag to go for. I was able to get mine for a good price last year ❤

Love my Boy Bag who cares if it is trendy or not. To me it’s a classic
My boy bag is in old medium and in excellent condition, I'd highly recommend it too!
Yes. Old medium Boy Bag in caviar is the best bag. its classic yet modern edgy at the same time. it wears very well
I love the Loewe Puzzle Bag. Currently saving for one, I think it’s classic and good quality. I also like the ‘quiet luxury’ aspect.
This is why I have yet to buy mine. I know too much about the brands and I am calculating all of that into the value of cost. It's both financial and moral for me. love the video as always xx
I saw a gorgeous boy bag in metallic plum a few years ago and regret not buying it. If I do get one I’ll be careful not to squish it too much.
I think the valentino spike bag is totally iconic. It's not popular nowadays but i think they are stunning ❤
That was a great summary of the What-Not-To-Buys. It would be equally great to see a complementary What-To-Buy video. ✨️🌟

Yes Sophie, please share with us what would be the best bag to choose. Thank you! Love your channel!
Hi Sophie, this video is so helpful for anyone wants to buy the 1st luxury bag❣️. Have a wonderful evening 💕
Update: Oh no apparently the Restory at Harrod's no longer exists! Oh well, there's got to be a similar high end bag restorer service in London. 😭
Thank you for this video, Sophie. Please go ahead and do one on which bags to buy. I shall look forward to it.
I think you're wonderful to speak up against those Balenciaga ads.
My recommendation would be to start with a tote bag or an everyday bag. I went with a YSL Rive Gauche tote for my first bag and i've used it a ton.
But when it comes to jewelry, there’s just something about you, knowing that it’s real and it’s genuine and it makes you feel good, egardless of whether it’s everywhere there’s just, pride or prestige that comes with wearing fine jewelry regardless of whether or not it’s being duped by two also like one of a kind pieces.
yes, please do a video on what is worth getting as a first bag. thanks!
all luxury brands work with sweatshops, the leather is outsourced from china, and only some are handmade and made in europe or italy; shop leather, shop quality, shop long lasting
Thank you for great advice as always, Sophie. And I agree with all that you said.
I say buy what you love ! What doesn’t work for one person isn’t the same for everyone! I can’t understand how anyone can call a designer basic !
Can you do a video on what bags yes to buy? ❤
Great video! Completely agree with your choices (unless you totally love one of these bags of course), although I have always loved your Valentino bag! 🤭 I also think the fendi peekaboo is a good choice as a first bag, has been around for some time now and will work for many people - what do you think? Personally I love that bag, just waiting for the perfect version for me 🤗
Pekaboo bag is beautiful, but too expensive for a 1st bag, I would go for YSL
Thanks so much! Would love to see your current recommendations for a first bag!
I don't conflate bags and brands. I have two awesome Balenciaga bags and am still rocking them. Who cares what happened with corporate shit like the advertising campaign. Doesn't diminish my love for the bags one bit.
Yes I'm curious about what bags you believe to be good 1st bags
Haven't entered the luxury bag world yet
But some of these I knew wouldn't be it
Lots of RUclipsrs have warned against buying a Boy bag. I can't help it. I want one so bad! 🤣. I should defer to those that know more. I just love the look of them so much!
Thank you for the advice! Have a great day!
I have a large boy. I see it rarely because it's not popular. But I still love it and use it. Buy what you love and will use.
I like how they look too!
Thank you. A lot of these are on my no buy list also.
Interesting about Van Cleef. Because there are so many knock offs. Cartier is no longer doing the servicing of the love bracelet because it’s just so many knock offs they’re not even authenticating them anymore.
Boy bag is beautiful and unique!!!! Love it xx
I don’t know why but your opinions and thoughts almost always mirrors mine. Great video 👍🏼
Disagree about Bottega, except the bag you showed, which is obviously a failed design. There are many, many Bottega bags, old and new, worth the money. Good video.
Bottega is a good alternative I think. I love their weave, and their life time warranty. Not everyone want a Chanel flap or Dior lady.
Correct. Additionally they're offering lifetime maintenance
The Speedy 25 wasn’t my first bag but it’s one of my best bags.
When people buy vintage LV they take it in to replace the leather. The canvas is hard wearing but you’re right it can crack. Not sure what causes it.
Just bought my 1st designer Bag. YSL Lou Lou black with gold hardware. Soo in love 🥹❤️
I spotted a pink Versace Medusa tote! Was hoping you were going to talk about it. Did you take it out so the video wouldn’t be too long?
What do you think of the Polène bags? I’m considering the Numèro Dix. Such a cute style!
I have a dupe prada with no logo and love it.. I use it every weekend and love the convenience. Thinking to get one from Prada. Should I not? 🤔
Hi Sophie!! I hope you are well? Excited to watch as always.. Wishing you a wonderful evening 💕💕
Love the video. Would like to see a video on what bag to buy for your first one and what bag is best for every day thank you ❤
Great points Sophie 😊❤
Best advice! thank you
I think that buying the LV tote or speedy is great for travel…it’s easier to get past security once you have the real luxury thing
HAPPY, HAPPY WEDNESDAY everyone, including SHOPIE, REBECCA and JILL🎉
Hi there Thelma....haven't seen you for a while!!! Hope you are getting to enjoy the summer😊
Yes, please. A video on which ones to buy.
My kate spade bags and Coach Spiderman messenger bag don't even scratch as much as the LV bags do!
Good evening happy wednesday. so verry nice collections ❤😍🥰
thank you for adressing Balenciaga. it was BEYOND!!!!
Last mth there was a huge sale for Singapore and Malaysia and we can purchase online and have items sent to our homes and there’s so many items on huge discounts . Balenciaga is not doing well last few yrs .
Thanks Sophie 🥰. I’d be interested which YSL bag(s) are worth it in your opinion. Much appreciated .
Would you consider selling it and trying one (pre loved perhaps) in a more durable leather (?) because the bag suits you so beautifully. x💖
Old bottega under tomas maier was noticable more elegant and better made than BV of the last several years.
Hello
Does anyone know if she did do a video about what to buy as first bag?
Juste discovered her videos, love how she speaks the truth and lets others have their opinion based on what she explains🥳
How do you think Givenchy holds up as in quality? I'm really interested in the Antigona mini in calfskin, but also not too sure if the handles or the strap bother me too much.
Loved the insight into this video! I have a question, do you use handbag liners / base shapers in your bags? I do on all of mine to protect them incase I wanted to sell them in future. I think they could also prevent some of the issues you are having with the shape!
10:11 = 🚫
Apologies in advance if u own or love one 🙏🏼
However...(IMHO)...this one @ 10:11 looks...(to me 🤷🏽♂️)...like one of those freebie hand / make-up bags u receive with your purchase during a Cosmetic or Fragrance Promotion.
Balenciaga is still extremely popular in Asia, as are the bags. The bags and shoes are EVERYWHERE in Asia, and the RTW also gets bought.
This setting is much better than the cheap looking ikea pax thing
Keep 'em coming Sophie and a question: How many bags do you own? Exactly?
I think a lot of these bags if you hold onto them 10 to 15 years from now vintage will be a thing again and people will be seeking these bags out and that’s when you’ll get your money back. Because they always bring back or re-issue their most popular bags.
Thank you for this wonderful review. Balenciaga advertising completely disgusting! Never liked their items anyway
Chanel boy bag is in my wish list, now not too sure
I have been waiting for the right color
Have you experienced the same problem with double flap or 2.55?
I imagine it can happen with the 19 too.
