- In this video, I review the E.C. Andersson Calypso Sport and Calypso Arctic Sport. Find out why I think this watch may be worthy of breaking one of my collection rules and enjoy this introduction to a micro brand that even many watch enthusiasts are unfamiliar with!

It’s grown on me enough to pull the trigger on it. Very cool piece. Unique fit & finish and the new fully brushed model with that textured dial.
Not a whole lot of looks & reviews but I think it’s a beauty piece.
Thanks for the review !
Nice review....but having a devil of a time finding one anywhere.
I had to diligently search for a good three months before I came across mine.
@Sebricjeltho thanks!
Yeah, not many of these out there. I just managed to get one in a trade, entirely unexpected. You might need to "cold-call" various owners and inquire, tbh, as these very rarely appear in sales listings.
The quality (fit and finish) of the watch is very good. The attention to detail is there, especially since ECA seems to make just 100 pieces per model.
Till this day, I don’t understand all the Miyota hate. Know, with an ETA inside, these would be even more.
But that crown situation is annoying.
@@WatchWithUs I don't think the crown issue comes from the Miyota.
@@WatchWithUs Did the crown thing develop over time or has it been like that ever since you got the watch?
Btw, in person, the gray dial seems to have a very slightly blue hue to it.
Good review and a very interesting watch! Just subbed - enjoying your content!
I tried getting that black dial . It’s been discountinued for a while now and I have begged them to bring it back. The price point for all their watches are so awesome. I bothered them for the new gmt one but they never gave any details till they released it and I was surprised by the price which was more than twice their normal price ranger. Had to put my wallet back in my pocket as I didn’t expect the watch to be that expensive but it’s definitely beautiful and worth buying if you have 2100USD
I want the one with the braclet bad. Too bad I missed the boat.
are no longer available ......😭
Interesting. That mad lug/strap design sure makes strap replacements hard (gotta cut any new straps), but... it sure does look good though. Considering the style, look, and exclusivity, it might be the affordable world's royal oak...
$800 seems a little stiff for a Miyota 9000 movement even with the quality you describe. I just bought an RLG Wayfarer with similar specs for less than half of that. Different style I know but still......
Lost me at miyota .
Really unique watches otherwise
Cool story bro
Stiff price foe what you get
