Pierce Brosnan, I think he was one of best James Bond’s - it really suited his personality.

He nails every part. The action, the quips, the gadgets.
I'd like to see someone like Sean Bean play Bond (had he not played a Bond villain already).
My favorite Bonds are Sean Connery and Pierce Bronson.

One of the most underrated Bond films. Only gets better and more relevant with age. Brosnans great in it. Way better than his next two. Deserves much more love.

+redindy51 Same! To me there is no such thing as a bad Bond movie. They are expertly made from top to bottom. By the end of the day ,if I am entertained and impressed, then the film's have succeeded. Each film has done that time and time again. The $$$ does not lie.

My favorite Bond film. After GoldenEye Pierce had one under the belt he really owned that role. The jet escape with dogfight c'mon that's just awesome.
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid because the whole felt like watching a videogame. It’s so over the top but in a good way, unlike Die Another Day.
actually Die Another Day had a good idea of a failing agent but the action scenes etc was a NO from me hehe😂
Just saw this for the first time last night, with this also being my first ever James Bond movie. It is so good, now I'm hooked to the series lol. That weapon-stashed BMW is so iconic

The slap early in the trailer really hurts, but it still doesn't hurt as much as the verbal slap Bond gives Carver at the very end.
This was the first James Bond movie I ever saw. I remember how Pierce became such an idol to me, the Bond series my favorite series, and GoldenEye one of my most favorite action films. Though I grew to love Craig's gritty Bond, I miss Pierce. Imagine if they gave him a gritty Craig-esque approach, ooh, he'd have kicked more ass. I'll have to give this another watch again when I can, seeing as I've given Craig's Bonds plenty.
I agree that the problem wasn't Pierce, it was the movies. Besides Goldeneye, if he had some better scripts to work with, I think his time as Bond would be viewed more highly.

@@sanchezsushi007 Yeah, Pierce was solid in all four of his Bond films, the problems were the plots for his Bond sequels being weakly written and not being intelligent and well thought out like GoldenEye’s intelligent and well thought out plot and the villains being poorly written and over-the-top.

+Rajendra Realistic? He was unrealistic! His motivation was totally unrealistic, stupid, and too simple! He was making World War III happen all just because the Chinese government refused to let his news empire broadcast in China. He was like a spoiled brat! He was a man with the immaturity of a spoiled brat whenever he gets told no and never takes no for an answer. He has the worst motivation! The plot and the villain were god-awful! It’s really the fantastic action that saves this movie from being bad. It’s without a doubt an extremely fun and highly entertaining action film with stellar action scenes, but the plot is atrocious and seemed like an eight-year-old came up with the plot.
Because of TND, Pierce Brosnan, and a cousin of mine, I met James Bond. What a memories! Also, the background bells combined to perfection with the moment this movie was released, in short words, A PREAMBLE.
Here after No Time To Die. And I tell you, they’ve made a fine movie right there. But THIS is a Bond movie.

Same. It's in my top 10 bond films. It reminds me of the sean connery bond films but set in the lete 90's and it works really well. The only downside is Stamper as he's pretty bland. But no other flaws that bother me otherwise.

My favorite of the Brosnan era, it had my favorite Girl(Michelle Yeoh), villain(Elliot Carver) and action of the era. It alongside License to Kill were the bond films to surprise me which both crack my top 10 favorites.
Pierce Brosnan is my favourite Bond. Daniel Craig is great too, but Brosnan just fits the role far better.

Goldeneye is Pierce's standout Bond film. Martin Campbell directed it and the brilliant Casino Royale.
Casino Royale hands down the worst in the series. I watched it once and nope still makes zero sense. Wrong card game to boot. Poker is a poor mans game What is James Bond doing around playing Poker. smh Not that Casino Royale was a bad book however.

I enjoyed watching all the James Bond films especially Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan.
The script had to be re-written (starting from two weeks before filming began). So the story isn't among the stronger Bond movies, but it is very entertaining and it moves along with real energy. The action sequences and David Arnold's music are impressive and Pierce looks at ease in the role.
Maybe should have made Michael France to write the script

This is how you do a movie trailer. Back in those days, they knew how to market a film. Does not show whole story or key scenarios in 5min. Just entertains and lures you to go watch the movie. More important, does not assume everyone can’t understand what the film is about either. Just a damn good James Bond movie trailer from an era gone.

0:37 Wow, Pierce Brosnan's pose there looks similar to that of Roger Moore's second gunbarrel pose used from The Spy Who Loved Me to A View to a Kill. Did Brosnan shoot that for this trailer or was it an alternative take during GoldenEye? If it was shot during Tomorrow Never Dies, I wonder why they didn't use that instead of reusing Brosnan's GoldenEye pose. Not that I have a problem with Brosnan's pose used in all 4 films. I guess they wanted to keep the tradition of reusing the same gunbarrel from the previous film. A tradition they would later abandon with Daniel Craig's Bond films.
