I met my soulmate in my thirties and, as you say, we met when I least expected. It was a relationship like no other. It was like coming home. Our personalities were different, he was an extrovert, I’m an introvert, and yet we felt as one. In my time with him I grew more than I ever did before. I felt like I could take on the whole world. He wasn’t perfect. Neither am I. He had flaws that I could never have accepted in another man, but in him it those flaws were endearing. He saw through my flaws and helped me to see myself though his eyes. And what he saw in me was a loving, kind, gentle soulmate. And strangely enough, he saw himself though my eyes and what he saw was a loving, kind, gentle soulmate. We often talked about destiny and fate bringing us together. I used to describe him as the mirror of my soul. We had 17 beautiful years together before sadly, he died. He died suddenly and unexpectedly and when he died it felt as if my soul had been torn out of my body. Its been a hard journey over the past 4 years and 3 months. I chose to be alone because I needed the space to heal. The pain I’ve gone through is unimaginable, but I’ve also grown from the pain, which seems strange. I’m reaching a good stage just now, learning to accept and love myself without trying to change myself. After all, if I’ve already been loved and accepted as myself by another, why wouldn’t I love and accept myself by myself. I know our souls will meet again, and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life alone. I know that he knows this. I live in hope that the universe will bring me towards another soulmate, because I truly believe we can have more than one soulmate in any given lifetime. This beautiful video has touched my heart 💓. I just married my twin flame. Deep, intense, challenging - yes but well worth it bc the love, closeness, acceptance and trust are amazing. And yes, both of us had just made massive changes in most all aspects of our lives. I found that point interesting. I finally decided to finally love myself unconditionally....then there he was. Unexpected and everything I've wanted and needed. I'm blessed and so grateful. Oh, also we do have a substantial difference in our ages and we are of different races/cultures. TheAncientAndreios I wish I could believe that someone else was out there waiting for me. At one point, I thought I did meet somebody, that would finally accept me for who I am. Her and I are no longer together, because her family wouldn't allow us to be together like a normal couple, being able to see her more than once a week. The sad part about it is, I'm already an outcast, I don't fit in, and people label me as a joke, more than want to get to know me for who I am. Finding that significant other or soulmate, is hard to come by. Why? Because of free will. The reason why is because, we have the ability to live our lives,the way we want to. The problem with this is, nice guys seem to never meet they're soul mates, because we only go by what we see,and not when we know! It is said that "There's somebody for everybody", but if that's the case, then why is it so hard for decent guys to meet the right one? This would be a big issue for me, if only I was just accepted for who I am. I think you didn't understand the video. What Teal says is that if you desire to meet your soulmate then that means you have one, or else you wouldn't desire it. Also, the most important thing and the main point in the video is that you will not meet them until you love yourself or start to drastically do anything to accept yourself as you are and love yourself. You won't meet your soulmate if you don't love yourself, and the reason for that is that your soulmate is you and you can't find them or love them until you love yourself. It doesn't matter if you are a "decent" guy or a "bad" guy to find your soulmate, what matters is how you view yourself. Sounds to me like the main reason why you haven't found them yet is because you don't accept yourself, not because others don't accept you. I met my soul mate while I was ending my relationship with my daughters father. I started a new job to gain independence for myself and my daughter and he was a regular guest. I remember my coworker introducing us, and a few months later she tried to set us up without talking to either of us and I think we were both really embarrassed. We knew each other and had been watching each other for a year before either of us communicated the pull we felt to anyone. I worked over night shifts, and we spent 2 hours just sitting in the car talking after my shift. I remember dancing around work the next day telling my coworker I was going to marry him. We've known each other for about 3 years now, been together for 2, and it has been a wild ride. He has shook me to my core and opened my eyes, he woke me up. He never told me what to do or how to do anything, but being with him I found what I needed to become who I always knew I was but was too afraid to be. He lifts me up and makes me feel whole. Things have been hard, and we fight each other. We're so different, and yet so much the same. I love him for everything that he is and I just feel so blessed to have such a good man, not just in my life, but as my soul mate.

I feel that I've already met my twin flame and so far we're great friends even if we don't see eachother that often. Our seperate lives so far have both been filled with strive in their own unique ways and it appears to me that this is very distracting to our further allignment and expansion through interlocking heart. It is natural for him to come in my arms at the right time and for me to receive and take him there even though the confusion of sexuality still stands in his way. I just wanted to give my opinion on this as I have experienced my twin flame connection. Yes. They do exist. When I first heard about twin flame connections and these great loves I thought what a load of crap. Now having experienced it firsthand I can tell you yes it is very real. What your truth may be in one month may differ to the next. As you expand your consciousness your truth in the now changes as you can see things from a higher perspective. I feel like there is a theme of people having met their soul mate and that person dying too soon. I’ve experienced this too and so it haunts me with questions. Why would we experience this only to lose them tragically? I lost mine at the age of 20 to cancer. We met when I was 18 and had no interest in dating. A friend of mine said “You should come meet this guy” Of course I protested but wanted to hang out with some friends. As soon as I walked in the room the pull was instant and alarming. It scared me. He died of an aggressive and fast spreading cancer that ravaged his body so quickly the doctors were perplexed and got permission to study the organs and tumors. The cancer was doubling and tripling itself everyday. It broke my soul and I still grieve 25 years later. My mother described our Union as “A spiritual connection she has never seen in her life” and it was. While I wish I had more time with him I don’t cry because it’s over. I smile because it happened.

But that doesn't make sense. Its curious how so much fluff talk clicks with people. Why couldn't you have a desire that was not meant to be achieved? I have a desire to fly like superman, does that mean i'm meant to achieve it? You just made me cry out of overwhelming happiness... I haven't met my soulmate yet, but I've been waiting for him from the moment I understood a little bit about the concept of Love. It's not like some stupid fantasy. It's a deep feeling inside, like a kind of knowing. I know he is out there and I must find him. The only thing you can do is do the inner work, find peace amidst the chaos, and balance amidst the pain and pull of the connection, and love yourself. Loving yourself is the key to surviving this Divine connection. Without love in your heart, you will only experience pain. And ultimately, the pain will keep you from reconnecting. So, what happens if you meet your soul mate, but aren't romantic? My soul mate is my best friend. We aren't romantic, but we definitely love each other. We routinely joke that we were twins separated at birth, and that we each have half of the same brain. We have conversations without speaking pretty regularly, and have felt each others injuries. We have so much in common it's uncanny. We are definitely attracted to each other to a very high degree. However, whenever we tried to be romantic something would prevent it. This happened several times before we gave up on romance and became close friends. The first time she called me over for romance, I was T-Boned while driving to her place (the only accident I've ever been in). The next time, the fire alarm in the apartment building went off. People showing up unexpectedly, family emergencies, etc. Every time things got intimate, something would happen. This happened over and over, random things preventing romance. So, what gives?
I want to know that answer ... My soulmate is officially married ! He accepted his responsibilities as a father but it confused me how ok some people are with marrying just a friend .. To all those saying "Doesn't have to be romantic", we are both well aware, and remain extremely close despite never getting romantically involved. I even told him the other day that I thought our souls were part of the same soul in other carnations just because when the idea came across my mind in resonated so strongly. I don't know why it makes me a little sad that we are the same soul. Let me play devils advocate. I've been married for 15 years. We've grown together, we've made each other stronger, we've supported each other through difficulties and been pillars for each other to lean on. We make each other better. This video helped me to find my twin flame. After watching this video last year I worked on self love and when I least expected it, my twin flame sent me a message on Facebook. And he said "It's so cool that you also like Teal Swan. Most people don't care about spiritual stuff and self improvement". And since then we've been talking to each other every day. I'm still waiting for this crazy virus situation to be over because people from his country aren't allowed to come to my country at the moment. wow, this confirmed what I already felt. I felt that we are all complete souls, and if we what to find the right person for ourselves (soul mates or twin flames) then you first have to focus on improving the relationship you have with yourself. How can someone love you and do all these things you would like in a relationship if you don't do those things for yourself or others.
Everything is energy. Even a stream of consciousness. When my consciousness left my body during my NDE I realized the oneness of everything. I realized that our consciousness returns back to Source. It’s all energy. It only “separates” when embodied in physical form. And even then the physical form is made of energy. There is a recognition of this consciousness within the other person which makes it feel familiar or similar and that’s why it feels like home. Because it is. That feeling is what it feels like to be united back with source. That’s what we will feel upon “death”, upon leaving our physical bodies. For some reason we are able to detect it in this other person more clearly than with any other or most people. Maybe that person is more evolved or less muddled with human conditioning. All I knew is that I felt my soul speaking to me for the first time in my 46 years to the level where it made itself present to me. And I felt like “it” was communicating with this other person’s soul. They knew each other. It felt like our souls loved each other but our humans couldn’t get along. And then I had a spiritual awakening, DNOTS, etc. you name it. Kundalini awakening. I didn’t know what was happening to me nor had I ever heard of the term Twin Flame. I had heard of soulmates but only understood it as two people who were born to be together. I had never felt a soul connection like this before. EVER!

Me and my soul mate/twin flame Sally both met when we did indeed have positive feelings towards ourselves, and also had gone thru big challenges and self change in life. She rather than I, also had many feelings and even visions or dreams of me growing up. I have had more than one soulmate in my life. A soulmate just means someone who is your match on a soul level. It could also mean that you’ve loved that person in a past life cause I do get that feeling of knowing the person my entire life even if we’ve never met.

I've met 3 women that I could feel their emotions, especially when they are under crisis, like panic attacks, physical pain or stress and even self harm episodes, at a distance, literally dozens or hundreds of miles away from me and at times that we are not even communicating with eachother. The most extreme example was that I woke up very early in the morining having a panic attack, but somehow I knew that the person having it was one of these women, I rapidly employed a breakwork technique that I know could help the panic attack pass. When I managed it down, I called her, explained everything that I felt and did, and she confirmed that her current boyfriend tried to rape her but she managed to escape and had a panic attack afterwards. Does this mean I have met 3 soul mates or twin flames?
Just wanted to let you know, I don't agree with some things that you claim (watched two videos.) But you still managed to help me trust my intuition. A personality classified as an INFJ, not trusting my intuition and other things has left me feeling odd and lost for a long time. Then I recently discovered what INFJ is. It felt as a relief, both good and bad that there are others out there like me. To be understood, even though not specifically as an individual. I'm going through a dramatic change in life, and it's for the better. I do dream about things, and when I was younger, had visions, either future or just something unrelated to my life. I've feared what people may think about this all my life, so I shut it off. You served a part in helping me, and for that, I thank you. P.S. Awkwardly your voice is soothing, the only real reason I've had my attention span not react as much.
It's interesting how so many of the comments from people who claim superior spiritual knowledge, claim superiority over the ideas talked about in this video. Much like people do with religion. In my experience, this concept talked about with twin flames or soul mates is one of complete awareness of self, much like described. But it's not some trophy to hold up, In my experience, it is something that very few people will achieve, something that requires absolute surrender and absolute truth. Most importantly, it's definitely not something that you elevate yourself with in comment sections. When you get to that point, you won't be looking here for insight.

+Alex Belmonte I don't agree, good advice can come from anybody, I would even say that damaged people do more work on themselves and know what suffering is...They don't control certain aspects of their personalities, maybe still unhealed or emotionally immature (who doesn't have something that comes thru as phony or insensitive). Not sure what it is in her case but my sister has a similar laugh and I never liked it...It sounds kinda superior, laughing at you or something like that...but what I am saying to you, don't be perfectionist and have high expectations from other people, this is also part of your spiritual growth...all human beings are damaged. I would take any help that resonates within me, whether it comes from Teal or Adyashanti or Byron Katie. I used to think that she was phony or artificial the last 2 years but I recently listened more deeply to what she had to say and I can tell you, she is impressive, I am currently reading her last book. It is life changing believe me...Take it easy on yourself and give her a chance. Allow her to be just the way she is. We all have some good in us ;)
I just wanted to add something that Teal left out, there is a draw back to this attachment of a soulmate. The draw back is that in the same process we end up hurting others and hurting our "soulmate" and ourselves. The reason is that not everyone are is born into the same level of consciousness, this often leads to confusion on the other person who is less spiritual awakening. Which causes a lot of suffering or Dukha to others and to oneself. Let me give an illustration as an example. Supposed my soulmate and I found each others past lifetime, fall inlove, married blah blah. We both died, I rebirth first and just happened to retain a higher spiritual awareness. She on the other hand took rebirth much later and just happened to be less spiritual awareness. She happened to fall inlove with another person. We meet I recognized her, she doesn't simply because of ours differences in awareness. I told her we are soulmates, married past life time etc. Because we are, she feels it too but now are emotionally conflicted. To make matter worst her mind is confused to all of these. In her emotional conflicts and confused she took her own life. These kind of situation causes dukha to oneself and to others. The problems I see in many people is that many people have this notion that if they are soulmates ultimately in the end somehow everything will work out. The reality is that from one life time to the next lives is always uncertain and unpredictable. With this said, instead of seeking always for soulmate my advice to everyone is live your life to the fullest the best you can with what you have. It just as good as you would have with your soulmate. Because not every life time will always turned out the ways we wanted. I met my soulmate in my thirties and, as you say, we met when I least expected. It was a relationship like no other. It was like coming home. Our personalities were different, he was an extrovert, I’m an introvert, and yet we felt as one. In my time with him I grew more than I ever did before. I felt like I could take on the whole world. He wasn’t perfect. Neither am I. He had flaws that I could never have accepted in another man, but in him it those flaws were endearing. He saw through my flaws and helped me to see myself though his eyes. And what he saw in me was a loving, kind, gentle soulmate. I used to describe him as the mirror of my soul. We had 17 beautiful years together before sadly, he died. He died suddenly and unexpectedly and when he died it felt as if my soul had been torn out of my body. Its been a hard journey over the past 4 years and 3 months. I chose to be alone because I needed the space to heal. The pain I’ve gone through is unimaginable, but I’ve also grown from the pain, which seems strange.
I’m reaching a good stage just now, learning to accept and love myself without trying to change myself. After all, if I’ve already been loved and accepted as myself by another, why wouldn’t I love and accept myself by myself.
I know our souls will meet again, and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life alone. I know that he knows this.

TheAncientAndreios I wish I could believe that someone else was out there waiting for me. At one point, I thought I did meet somebody, that would finally accept me for who I am. Her and I are no longer together, because her family wouldn't allow us to be together like a normal couple, being able to see her more than once a week. The sad part about it is, I'm already an outcast, I don't fit in, and people label me as a joke, more than want to get to know me for who I am. I think you didn't understand the video. What Teal says is that if you desire to meet your soulmate then that means you have one, or else you wouldn't desire it. Also, the most important thing and the main point in the video is that you will not meet them until you love yourself or start to drastically do anything to accept yourself as you are and love yourself. You won't meet your soulmate if you don't love yourself, and the reason for that is that your soulmate is you and you can't find them or love them until you love yourself. It doesn't matter if you are a "decent" guy or a "bad" guy to find your soulmate, what matters is how you view yourself. Sounds to me like the main reason why you haven't found them yet is because you don't accept yourself, not because others don't accept you. I met my soul mate while I was ending my relationship with my daughters father. I started a new job to gain independence for myself and my daughter and he was a regular guest. I remember my coworker introducing us, and a few months later she tried to set us up without talking to either of us and I think we were both really embarrassed. We knew each other and had been watching each other for a year before either of us communicated the pull we felt to anyone. I worked over night shifts, and we spent 2 hours just sitting in the car talking after my shift. I remember dancing around work the next day telling my coworker I was going to marry him. We've known each other for about 3 years now, been together for 2, and it has been a wild ride. He has shook me to my core and opened my eyes, he woke me up. He never told me what to do or how to do anything, but being with him I found what I needed to become who I always knew I was but was too afraid to be. He lifts me up and makes me feel whole. Things have been hard, and we fight each other. We're so different, and yet so much the same. I love him for everything that he is and I just feel so blessed to have such a good man, not just in my life, but as my soul mate.

I feel like there is a theme of people having met their soul mate and that person dying too soon. I’ve experienced this too and so it haunts me with questions. Why would we experience this only to lose them tragically? I lost mine at the age of 20 to cancer. We met when I was 18 and had no interest in dating. A friend of mine said “You should come meet this guy” Of course I protested but wanted to hang out with some friends. As soon as I walked in the room the pull was instant and alarming. It scared me. He died of an aggressive and fast spreading cancer that ravaged his body so quickly the doctors were perplexed and got permission to study the organs and tumors. The cancer was doubling and tripling itself everyday. It broke my soul and I still grieve 25 years later. My mother described our Union as “A spiritual connection she has never seen in her life” and it was. While I wish I had more time with him I don’t cry because it’s over. I smile because it happened.

That doesn't make any conceptual sense. You can desire many things in life without fulfilment, e.g, getting rich, traveling the world, etc.
But that doesn't make sense. Its curious how so much fluff talk clicks with people. Why couldn't you have a desire that was not meant to be achieved? I have a desire to fly like superman, does that mean i'm meant to achieve it? I do think there is probably a solid match for everyone out there, but that has more to do with statistics than a magic concept of destiny and souls.

I haven't met my soulmate yet, but I've been waiting for him from the moment I understood a little bit about the concept of Love. It's not like some stupid fantasy. It's a deep feeling inside, like a kind of knowing. I know he is out there and I must find him. I know it's my destiny, it has to be, because no other desire in my life is as strong and unchangeable as this one. The problem is that people don't really believe in this stuff anymore and Everytime I express my desire to someone, they reject the idea or laugh at me. So, what happens if you meet your soul mate, but aren't romantic? My soul mate is my best friend. We aren't romantic, but we definitely love each other. We routinely joke that we were twins separated at birth, and that we each have half of the same brain. We have conversations without speaking pretty regularly, and have felt each others injuries. We have so much in common it's uncanny. We are definitely attracted to each other to a very high degree. However, whenever we tried to be romantic something would prevent it. This happened several times before we gave up on romance and became close friends. The first time she called me over for romance, I was T-Boned while driving to her place (the only accident I've ever been in). The next time, the fire alarm in the apartment building went off. People showing up unexpectedly, family emergencies, etc. Every time things got intimate, something would happen. This happened over and over, random things preventing romance. So, what gives?

I felt that we are all complete souls, and if we what to find the right person for ourselves (soul mates or twin flames) then you first have to focus on improving the relationship you have with yourself. How can someone love you and do all these things you would like in a relationship if you don't do those things for yourself or others.

I was skeptical when I started watching, but by the end it brought tears to my eyes..........
Everything is energy. Even a stream of consciousness. When my consciousness left my body during my NDE I realized the oneness of everything. I realized that our consciousness returns back to Source. It’s all energy. It only “separates” when embodied in physical form. And even then the physical form is made of energy. There is a recognition of this consciousness within the other person which makes it feel familiar or similar and that’s why it feels like home. Because it is. That feeling is what it feels like to be united back with source. That’s what we will feel upon “death”, upon leaving our physical bodies. For some reason we are able to detect it in this other person more clearly than with any other or most people. Maybe that person is more evolved or less muddled with human conditioning. All I knew is that I felt my soul speaking to me for the first time in my 46 years to the level where it made itself present to me. And I felt like “it” was communicating with this other person’s soul. They knew each other. It felt like our souls loved each other but our humans couldn’t get along. And then I had a spiritual awakening, DNOTS, etc. you name it. Kundalini awakening. I didn’t know what was happening to me nor had I ever heard of the term Twin Flame. I had heard of soulmates but only understood it as two people who were born to be together. I had never felt a soul connection like this before. EVER!

Me and my soul mate/twin flame Sally both met when we did indeed have positive feelings towards ourselves, and also had gone thru big challenges and self change in life. She rather than I, also had many feelings and even visions or dreams of me growing up. And like u said, we've both grown rapidly together, and we're TOTAL opposites, AND we do indeed have the tendency to push each other buttons lol. I have had more than one soulmate in my life. A soulmate just means someone who is your match on a soul level. It could also mean that you’ve loved that person in a past life cause I do get that feeling of knowing the person my entire life even if we’ve never met.

I've met 3 women that I could feel their emotions, especially when they are under crisis, like panic attacks, physical pain or stress and even self harm episodes, at a distance, literally dozens or hundreds of miles away from me and at times that we are not even communicating with eachother. The most extreme example was that I woke up very early in the morining having a panic attack, but somehow I knew that the person having it was one of these women, I rapidly employed a breakwork technique that I know could help the panic attack pass. When I managed it down, I called her, explained everything that I felt and did, and she confirmed that her current boyfriend tried to rape her but she managed to escape and had a panic attack afterwards. Does this mean I have met 3 soul mates or twin flames?

Just wanted to let you know, I don't agree with some things that you claim (watched two videos.) But you still managed to help me trust my intuition. A personality classified as an INFJ, not trusting my intuition and other things has left me feeling odd and lost for a long time. Then I recently discovered what INFJ is. It felt as a relief, both good and bad that there are others out there like me. To be understood, even though not specifically as an individual. I'm going through a dramatic change in life, and it's for the better. I do dream about things, and when I was younger, had visions, either future or just something unrelated to my life. I've feared what people may think about this all my life, so I shut it off. You served a part in helping me, and for that, I thank you. P.S. Awkwardly your voice is soothing, the only real reason I've had my attention span not react as much.

It's interesting how so many of the comments from people who claim superior spiritual knowledge, claim superiority over the ideas talked about in this video. Much like people do with religion.
In my experience, this concept talked about with twin flames or soul mates is one of complete awareness of self, much like described. But it's not some trophy to hold up, In my experience, it is something that very few people will achieve, something that requires absolute surrender and absolute truth. Most importantly, it's definitely not something that you elevate yourself with in comment sections. When you get to that point, you won't be looking here for insight.
Loving your self enough to know you deserve love and your "I AMness" is enough, and will be appreciated by the right people in your experience including your soul mate and or twin flame.

Not sure what it is in her case but my sister has a similar laugh and I never liked it...It sounds kinda superior, laughing at you or something like that...but what I am saying to you, don't be perfectionist and have high expectations from other people, this is also part of your spiritual growth...all human beings are damaged. I would take any help that resonates within me, whether it comes from Teal or Adyashanti or Byron Katie. I used to think that she was phony or artificial the last 2 years but I recently listened more deeply to what she had to say and I can tell you, she is impressive, I am currently reading her last book. It is life changing believe me...Take it easy on yourself and give her a chance. Allow her to be just the way she is. We all have some good in us ;)

I just wanted to add something that Teal left out, there is a draw back to this attachment of a soulmate. The draw back is that in the same process we end up hurting others and hurting our "soulmate" and ourselves. The reason is that not everyone are is born into the same level of consciousness, this often leads to confusion on the other person who is less spiritual awakening. Which causes a lot of suffering or Dukha to others and to oneself. Let me give an illustration as an example. Supposed my soulmate and I found each others past lifetime, fall inlove, married blah blah. We both died, I rebirth first and just happened to retain a higher spiritual awareness. She on the other hand took rebirth much later and just happened to be less spiritual awareness. She happened to fall inlove with another person. We meet I recognized her, she doesn't simply because of ours differences in awareness. I told her we are soulmates, married past life time etc. Because we are, she feels it too but now are emotionally conflicted. To make matter worst her mind is confused to all of these. In her emotional conflicts and confused she took her own life. These kind of situation causes dukha to oneself and to others. The problems I see in many people is that many people have this notion that if they are soulmates ultimately in the end somehow everything will work out. The reality is that from one life time to the next lives is always uncertain and unpredictable. With this said, instead of seeking always for soulmate my advice to everyone is live your life to the fullest the best you can with what you have. It just as good as you would have with your soulmate. Because not every life time will always turned out the ways we wanted. If we all abide by this practice we could learn to love others and learn to keep the relationship we have now, because the now is all we have.
Lol, I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one that gets annoyed and frustrated when people ask about, or mention twin flame/soul mates. From now on I'll just send them here instead of having this conversation with them every time. Thank you :)

I have met my soulmate and was just checking to see what you would say about it and everything you said describes me,her,and our relationship. It's like you knew what was going on with me,my life,her life,and our new lives together. No it's not perfect but we are a work in progress due to our situations,but as much as we've tried to be apart from each other we can't and I've had relationships in the past and could care less about breaking up.Not now though,thanks for your insight!
