That thing is so powerful, that instead of waiting for the leaves to fall on your driveway, you could just turn it upwards and blow the leaves right off the trees and into the next zipcode
@Paul Fellows worlds most expensive hairdryer
Exactly my thoughts
Now thar is definitely thinking like a man. 😅😆😁 Smart thinking.😄
You can rent it out on a rock-Festival :P
@@Dale.Nienow probably still cheaper than the Dyson one
I bet those leaves were really impressed with this machine. Many of them were blown away by it.
😂😂😂 great dad joke.
I really liked the infernal contraption you built last year to blow those leaves to the next life. It sure had more OSHA violations built into it as well :D
Yea the other one doubles as a hand remover as well.. double duty... or would be a hell of a crap flinger.. fling whatever crap youd put in it 50 meters.. which draws an idea, the thing is a silage mover so repurposed as a leaf collector would work, except getting a bag to stay intact enough to collect would be tricky... lol
@@Z-Ack
I think it was a silage blower, not a mower ;D
Wieso bin ich nicht verwundert dich hier anzutreffen? Ihr beide macht super content!! Weiter so :)

The look on Mat's face when he first revs up the blower 🤣😂
Any piece of equipment that can give you that face, is worth it's money.
This video was very satisfying to watch 😀
Idk, you know how much Ventracs cost... 😅🤣
Congratulations Matt on busting through the 500k window on your channel. I got with it when you were around 30k so it's been fun watching your channel continue to grow and rightfully so due to the great content you provide. My best to you, Ms. Eva, Roscoe and Meatball and cheers from this old retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.
What’s even more impressive is that in just 21 hours, this has had over 275,000 views! Great content brings loyal followers 👍
Every time I see or hear Tennessee I think ELVIS and what a legend he is. He rocked 🤘
This should definitely be added to the list of toys for big boys.
Hah ye
Heck yeah
My kids, I say kids, they are both 30+ keep on moaning that I never update my Christmas wish list. Think this year they might be in for a shock! 😂🤣😂
@@everestyeti lol yeah😂😂
Big boy toys!
That's at a whole new level of leaf blowers!! Fantastic!!! This would probably work good for light fluffy snow removal. 👍👍👍
That was my first thought when he first fired it up.
Unless the snow was an exceptionally light powdery variety it would make a poor snow blower due to the density of the snow.
Actually the blower is an axil flow compressor. They utilize one or more rows of rotating blades which utilize a stationary row of blades to redirect air flow to the following row of rotating blades. They move high quantities of air at relatively low pressure. Excellent for your leaf blowing requirements.
@@lloyd1344 Here in Minnesota, I normally get a few fluffy snows a year in which I use my hand-held leaf blower. That stuff is almost impossible to shovel. It's like sweeping styrofoam peanuts.
The airport here has big Oshkosh snow throwers and plows an they do have big towed air blowers like that for keeping the runways clear. works slick on puddles too
The entire ventrac platform is just an all around great tool. Especially for large homesteads and small farms! So many useful attachments, and from what I’m told super reliable as well.
Reminds me of the old sears suburban line from the 60's 70's. Every kind of attachment you can think of all for a garden tractor
We've had a ventrac for 2 years at the golf course I work at and it is so cool, no where it can't go, the ventrac it's self has had no problems but the attachments seem to have some, mainly belts breaking but once a weld broke on the contour mower, otherwise not too bad.
We have 2 Steiners. They were the original “Ventrac” before the Steiners sold it and later they started Ventrac. One is from the mid 70’s and the other the mid 80’s so they do last a long time if maintained properly.
@@jeffgootjes8418 there was another articulating tractor called a "Pasquali" i think. I can remember seeing them at the fair in the 70's or 80's.
@@RjBin-xz2um you’re correct! Pascuali was an Italian tractor commonly used in orchards. I still see them occasionally at tractor shows. Cool machines. Ferrari made a similar tractor. My son and I were at an auction several years ago and 2 small Ferrari tractors were auctioned off. I still wish I’d bought them both just to say I owned a Ferrari. 😂
Wow the difference between before and after was mind-blowing (pun intended lol).
The plow attachment would also be very useful in the right circumstances as well.
If you could get all the leaves in one pile from each year and added enough of the other ingredients, you would have a very impressive compost pile each year.
Only Matt could make a video like this and it still be an awesome video! Just so relaxing and chill.
Did anyone else notice that sweet old dozer to the left of the driveway that hasn't had a video yet? I hope he does a video on that someday.
Thought I’d never see such a specialized, useful attachment!
PS - Reminds me of the video of a Soviet era airfield runway deicer made from old jet engines
Some "land of sand" - Middle East oil country - has a tank with two jet engines and a monstrous sprinkler system installed on the turret. It's used to put out oil well fires. Also some country has raildroad de-icing with jet engines.
@@sleeptyper it is called "Big Wind" an old t-34 tank converted into a oil well firefighting machine
@@sleeptyper CSX in Buffalo NY has a jet engine car for snow
NASCAR has jet trucks for drying out racetracks.
RAF used a device called a MRD (Main Runway De-icer) it was 2 Rolls-Royce Derwent turbines mounted on a frame with a "soundproof" control cabin between them with the whole thing strapped to a fuel bowser. Aircraft engine specialists (known as Sooties!) operated them. Very good for finding loose and broken tarmac!
The new shop looks like it belongs there. Like it’s been there for ever. Matt excellent color choice. I just can’t say enough how happy I am for you.
A outstanding piece of equipment. Between the wide tire footprint for stability, the horsepower to drive the implements, and the apparent speed of hookup etc. it seems to be a well thought out and engineered unit.-----Tom Topar on a business computer.
The only thing I am not convinced of is the belt used for the PTO.
Why not use a normal PTO shaft like everything else?
Love it. Try using it as a snowblower. Probably it would work best on untouched snow and take it right down to ground level with no packing it down so you don't get an ice build up.
Great videos love your style and the Semi-Supervillians music.
Keep up the great work 👍.
Now THAT is a world-class big-boy toy! I want one for Christmas.
Watching the thick mat of leaves peel off the rocks and fly into the woods is soooo satisfying.
I have to say that I don't like your videos --------------- I LOVE them! 👍💯. Anytime I watch one of your videos I feel your excitement and enthusiasm and it is contagious! Thank you Matt for taking us along with you on your adventures. I always look forward to each and every video and I am really excited to see your shop being built and your dream coming to reality. Again , THANK YOU!! 👍
Was anyone else saddened when Matt didn't say "Contact" when he hit the key on the Ventrac?
4 year ago saw these on RUclips ,and literally 8 miles up the road found a local dealer selling them and love them , now a full time employee and get to work I on them and play on them , just love ventracs , thanks to DGM UK SOUTH DEVON ENGLAND 👍🙂
I bet you're going to buy one, that thing is a total money-maker. That thing is just crazy powerful. No more cursing leaves plugging up ditches and drains slash culverts. The potential uses of that from blowing powder snow to blowing out your shop is just nuts !!!
My son is as a golf course superintendent and I get to play with their “toys” - they have three Ventracs. They of course use the blowers for leaves, but also such things as moving water (de-watering ditches/swales) after heavy rains to keep play moving. It’s also a daily thing to blow all cart paths, pavement and parking lots as an insurance liability issue - no sticks, acorns or trip hazards. They do a real decent job with snow too!
One improvement I would suggest is the ability to aim 45 degrees to the front so that the leaves are blown both forward and to the side which I think would be better for a long driveway. And as a bonus, the next time you construct a "a regulation bon-type fire" as Col. Potter would say, set that unit nearby and watch that baby burn anything and everything!
It might be able to, the two 45deg duct pieces that give it the 90 look like they can be rotated manually for adjustment as well as cancel each other out for a straight front facing blower.
@@RBRat3 If it's a standard air conditioning 90, or two 45's it probably could. Each segment would be movable which gives AC installers a lot of flexibility.
Matt, with the directional control of the nozzle and the power, it's like having all the control of a handheld times a bunch . Super unit !
This summer you can park that at one end of your barn and have circulated air through out the whole massive structure. What a barn. Nice
That is very Impressive machine. Removing the leaves with no problem . makes life so much easier.
I could watch this all day !
Amazing equipment!
Very expensive but I will own one some day.
Wow ! Beautiful results. I love the way you care for your property. That one brief shot of you driveway was just beautiful. Feels so good to see you kick leaf butt, Matt.
Too bad he didn't find that machine in a junk pile. I wish I could find one in a junk pile.
Have to say I was impressed by the Ventrac anyway but this is a whole new level. I wonder what else they have for tools for the machine?
Here are Ventrac equipments
www.ventrac.com/products/attachments
WOW does almost everything a mini tractor can do !!
Impressive !!
@@NUTTER8291 The difference between Ventrac and a mini-tractor is that the Ventrac was designed to be able to mow grades. I drive a Walker, but any time I have to do a really overgrown lawn, I wish I had the budget for a Ventrac.
Pretty much everything lol
Litterally like everything
notice how it clears out all the drainage ditches along side the road. Great for keeping water where you want it. Great property maintenance tool.
That thing is ferocious! Never mind the leaves it would probably blow the leaves whilst they are still on the tree! Mind you then Mother Nature sends in a Cat 5 and levels them all out again!
leaf clean up on a whole new level .. wow.. i see pouring the footings for the over head gantry crane coming up .. Exciting times .. Thanks Matt.. always enjoy my Diesel Creek viewing
Very happy to see you with half a million subscribers! No surprise really but congratulations nevertheless. You're producing a quality product with unique flavour and humour ("finding, buying and rat-rodding/restoring heavy antique equipment somewhere deep in a forest"?). You've invested time, tools and effort to get here.
Leaf blower test seems to be just in time - not many more leaves left on the trees - you're done for this season!
Whether or not you keep it... Time and effort spent modifying your silage blower (which we love to watch) + lost opportunities doing other projects / income producing or not + likelihood of effective outcome (including snow-blowing during coming months) + possible income opportunities using this blower + ... My head hurts already!
Looking forward to whichever way you go.
Again, congratulations!
What a great, practical tool! This is definitely "Tim Tailor" style! Probably also good as a snow blower, with freshly fallen snow.
Or herd chickens lol.
Awesome That thing BLOWS!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅✅✅✅⭐️😂
That tune at around 23 minute mark... Man that's awesome.
Hey good morning Matt! Yuuuuup those beautiful leaves become a pain in the rear side once that fall from the trees! Congrats on 503,000 subscribers and thumbs UP!! Its good to see the Diesel Creek Size leaf blower in use! YEEE HAW !!
That is freaking impressive! What a work saver. Not just for driveway, but keeping driveway ditches clear from clogging. However, here in Southwest Florida and suffering through hurricane Ian September 28th, I’m not a fan of excessive wind. If you catch my drift, pardon the pun.

Ventrac Leaf-blower sales are gonna go up 400% after this video gets around. Well done Matt. Makes easy work of that driveway, leafs (pun intended) more time for beers. Cheers!
My late father in law had a short concrete driveway maybe 75' long. He took an old push mower deck, a horizontal shaft 5 hp engine and an old squirrel cage blower from a home furnace and made a blower out of it. It worked great on leaves and worked well on light snow as well.
I have a steiner 420. Its old but I plow snow , move dirt , blow leaves , haul trailers and mow with it . Best damn thing I ever bought .
Matt we are all so happy for you. you work hard and the new shop is the cherry on top.
A big wind could redistribute all of that hard work. No matter, that blower looks like fun!
Any plans to put Christine's glasses back on?
Nice tool but it needs another reduction tip on it to further increase the wind velocity for wet leaves and such. The tip could be adjustable akin to the jet engine that adjusts to increase velocity. It could be manually adjusted to keep down cost. Doing so would allow you to push leaves up
Into a larger pile
So 15 hours and 240k views. I would say ventrac got a good deal.
Thanks for the RUclips content. I’m always happy after I watch what you are doing.
That thing is a real beast. So powerful and rewarding to watch.
Excellent! A fun video and I'm much more appreciative of Ventrac and their products. I wondered about how effective the leaf pusher might be... Thanks for the fun ride! Be well, be safe!
Man I remember back when you go that Ventrac unit, that thing would come in SUPER handy with little odds and ends jobs you can't really use a skid steer for.. what a GREAT leaf blower attachment, totally worth the price of entry on that one!! Great video, I'll sit here all day and watch you move leaves!! Awesome!
I bet ventrac is proud of that leaf blower
Matt the lean to or extensions to the shop was very intelligent! More of these are needed so that all the equipment is out of the weather.
I whole heartily believe that ventrac and Matt should team up and they sponsor you. The attachments ventrac offers you can really put them to the test on your land.
I have say, that diesel creek does have the best intro music.
Great morning dose of Diesel Creek !
What a nice machine and the attachments look very well built it will be interesting to see how your DIYS blower will stack up, I've got faith!
Very neat piece of gear - I've seen something like it being used to handle dry snow - crazy fast!
Matt, You've a winner in that monster leaf blower.
Matt I love your content. Keep up the good work. Please. Been following you since the church.
man, that thing really blows. And it's surprisingly relatively quiet as well, which is rather impressive
It's strong enough to blow the water out of a wet spot to stop a pothole from forming or to dry a pothole out to fill in and fix!
That is one badass blower. It was really impressive how it was lifting old wet stuck down leaves with no trouble at all.
Agreed ...............except
All those leaves =
1 - strong wind in the wrong direction = more work
2 - Leaf mulch is one of the best compost maker around - good for improving soil
therefore IMHO would've been far superior machine if it vacuumed and contained rather than blow and disperse
*please note the IMHO*
@@philhunt9297 i agree with you. it really is an impressive piece of machinery, but a temporary one. i checked their website and they do actually have a "grass and leaf vacuum", it's called "RV602". dunno if it is as effective to remove the wet stuck leafs tho? 🤔
@@pjuppi problem with leaf vacuums is the size of the storage tank.
And judging by the pictures the RV602 has a tiny tank.
With the amount of leaves Matt has I think it would be more of a hassle.
@@Jehty_ yea, that''s true. it was indeed kinda tiny. but he could've just dumped the leaf stacks on the edge of the driveway and set it on fire 😁. either more hassle to transport it away / fire it up or blow it away and have the wind take it back. i have no idea what's the best solution, either way we get cool videos like this!
Matt, this blower is awesome, I agree, and the ability to to rotate the noodle 360 degrees really demonstrates it’s versatility by being able to blow the leaves off your machinery where it would otherwise accumulate and start decomposing on the metal surfaces over time.
THATS A GOOD THING TO BE PATENTED FOR CITYWALK , STREETS AND LARGE PARKING LOTS , GOOD JOB AMIGO !!
Best thing I've seen this year. That machine is so worth it.
Far out! What an effective bit of kit, that really cleans things up and leaf mulch makes horrible mush after snow. Funny, I watched Mike from Outdoors with the Morgans put new line on his string trimmer once but that blower was way more fun. Hope you get the concrete down before winter.
This has got to be one of the most gratifying attachments ever.
It's like a power washer on wheels!
Good morning Matt, that Leaf blower is awesome. Definitely a tool I would consider having. Be good and take care. 👍
The leaves insulate the forrest floor and nourish the grass. If you continue to blow the leaves off of the forrest floor, you will eventually change or damage it.
Amazing.. Simply amazing! I thourally enjoy the videos you create. Happy for your growth in RUclips. Those Ventrac's are legit.
Thanks Matt
While last year's contraption complete with flame exhaust was awesome, this thing seems way more practical. Only you could make leaf blowing so entertaining! LOL Good job!
Impressive piece of equipment. Don't let Peg see this, Canada would never bee the same if he were to get his hands on one of these.
wow matt..... you really know how to surprice us everytime with the projects and toys you have. i think you litterly blew us away with this one, its like a mobile tornado. great job done.
I see what you did there - almost missed your pun ("litter-ly" / "literally")! Very cool the way you set us up with a spelling mistake first ("surprice"). (Heh-heh-heh... chuckles to hisself.)
It's almost comical that I left a thumbs up watching a leaf blower at work, but, since I like Matt's content and was quite mesmerized by leaves blowing, and of course it doesn't cost me a thing, so thumbs up to this video.
Sold!
A satisfying watch.
Perfect for your application, and what a great ad for the company.
That’s an amazing machine mate love it hope you all are doing well you really need one or cut down your trees but we really don’t want to do that so get ya!!
Matt, actually what you need is a huge vacuum that sucks up the leaves and grinds them into dust and shoots that dust into a pull behind container. Than you can dump the container where ever you wish. And mulched up leaves would take a mere 10% or less the volume of blown leaves... Just an idea. Thumbs Up
So kinda like Operation Vacusuck - m.ruclips.net/video/YNbSauU--h0/видео.html
That's pretty cool, I wonder if they also have snow removal attachments. The leaf plow looks like it would be better suited for parking lots and pavement.
They have attachments for nearly everything, including snow plows and snowblowers up to 52" in width.
Brilliant stuff. 'Leaves... Yeah, there were some leaves, but they're all in New Jersey now.'
the right tool for the job really makes a difference!
Really nice equipment. While watching I thought that only blowing the leafs outward to the forest surrounding the yard would be better than blowing it inward.
that must have been so satisfying! EDIT: +1 for the extreme slo-mo
Hey Matt what a sensational machine ! It looks awesome. When do we get a walk around of your new truck ? Does it sound as good as old blue ? I hope you’ve treated underneath it so hold rust at bay for as long as possible !
G’day from Australia 🇦🇺 mate !!
I always like the intro music.. I've seen units similar to that before..( gigantic hand dryer) drying out surfaces.. tennis courts.. etc. A "viable option" for sure
Sweet, another ventrac vid!
I bet that leaf blower would kick ass in the light fluffy snows that blow all over if trying to plow or snowblow.
Imagine using it to clean off your other toys before bringing it in the shop.
Awesome, I wonder how it would work on blowing snow.
Right! Would be great to connect a hot air cannon or politician of your choice to it to provide hot air and melt the snow 😉
Great way of blowing away your top soil
I agree, that blower steals the show. The plow is not a show stopper. I'd keep the blower and keep the driveway clear. Great content. See you next time.
do not stop,,, buy it,,, it will give you more time for other projects, and more videos, also the shop is great.....
i just love your shows, i had the same interest years ago, thank you so much, your the man
bruce lehman
I use a quad with a snowplow on it to push piles of leaves into the woods at home. Huge time saver especially if the leaves are wet.
That sure is a best of a leaf blower. Only today's I was cleaning my yard they do turn into muck over winter. Powerful machine 👍
We had a tree fall across the road blocking both lanes and a guy used one of those ventrac mowers to push the log to the side after it was cut in half , those machines are powerful for there size!
You have to get rid of leaves from the trees, at least if you have as many as you do. Great that you have found a good machine!
That’s 33mins well spent!
Thanks Matt
Great Blower, made easy work of them leaves, now compost all them leaves and make some black gold.
Thank you Matt, I had a good time watching.
WOW! That is a leaf blower. That unit could darn near blow the stink right off of a skunk forever.
That blower is AWESOME!! I could see that getting addictive…blowing leaves, where do you stop!😂
Exactly lol
Matt; might I suggest creating a marshalling yard to park all your odds and sods. Just placing various stuff from old trucks & truck caps, disused equipment to log piles beside your drive is exacerbating your leaf problem in every way from the wind piling it up to you having to blow around all of it. Those of us living in snow belts will tell you that putting up snow fences beside a drive way is just asking for drifts you can't see over right down the entire laneway.
Awesome machine. I think the plow would be useful if your task was to clear a large parking lot type area where you not only blow the leaves into piles but then need to remove the leaves and haul them away, The plow would be very useful building large piles that could then be hauled away. It that instance, the blower would just keep scattering them again. But if there is a demand for such a task, this baby would make a fortune. Mostly because it is highly efficient and the job would be done in no time. Another thing I like is how well it clears the drainage ditches along the driveway. Dammed up leaves are real pain.
That’s how you manage leaves….. awesome accessory.
Very cool new tool 👍 you had fun playing with it as much as we enjoyed watching you play great video Matt
That will help you to keep your ditches free and clear for better drainage. Plus winter light snows can be blown off the road.
Man 30 years ago I ran a ten man crew maintaining a 175 acre cemetery, if I had a tool like this then wow. Back then we did it all the old school way, push blowers, rakes and a leaf vac truck. We did get a tow behind blower for the tractor but it was only good for the open fields.
Robert , in addition they are selling because of health reasons, and could probably dicker down on the price! Ditch Witch looks divine, and both look like the tires hold air in the photos, and both look like the metal is good.
