@@duderRechthat I think we're witnessing a phenomenal age of running. So many athletes are so fast and I think it's because they're all pushing each other to their limits. I wouldn't call doping on this unless there is definitive proof. There is so much testing done and these athletes know that. To put everything on the line for a slight edge is absolutely insane. Very few people would do that.

For anyone struggling to appreciate what is being shown here, these guys are running at a pace equivalent to that of a full sprint of an average healthy 25 year old male. And they're doing it for 26 minutes straight, for 10km...
Imagine running a 13min 5k, very few people can do that, it's insanely fast. You would be feeling dead after that performance. Most of these guys just did that back to back. They make it look so easy too
This is the words of someone that can't value the achievements of other sports. Is this a better achievement than jumping +6m in pole vault for example?
for real, I don't think many people casually watching olympics understand how INSANE that time is. An average person (not out of shape, working out 1-2 times a week) would finish 5k in that time frame
Fisher was quite a surprise ! Great run! Congratulations to everey runner in the Olympic Final. Cheptegei won in style of World Record holder ! Well done ! Well done !
Achieving a pace of 10 kilometers in 27 minutes implies covering 1 kilometer in 2.42 minutes and 100 meters in 16.2 seconds, representing the average velocity. Contemplating this feat evokes a sense of utter surrealism and extraterrestrial prowess. These individuals command unequivocal respect.
The sheer self-overcoming and agony present in distance running is not comparable to any other sport. It is an epitome of pure will power and physicality.
As a Dutchman, i know we can own the sprints and relays (Femke Bol) but this..? This is a entire discipline on it's own... Respect No surprise there's the Ethiopians, Kenyans etc and i do NOT mean this in a negative way, this is just YOUR sport, well done all !! (Like the Dutch with Ice Skating. It's in our DNA simply)
Hello Kiplimo we still love you. I know what your capable of. For our Goat you are pure class. Interesting that Canada America are also joining East Africa in this race.
Fevkalade pürüzsüz ve berrak adımlarla hak edilmiş bir başarı. Cheptegei karakter ve sporcu olarak inanılmaz birisi, kendisine saygı ve sevgiler sunuyorum.
The 10k distance is just brutal, these guys are tremendous athletes
Not as brutal as 800m. That distance is pure suffering! But any distance is brutal really, but 800m takes the prize brutal wise.
😅😅😅 cheating yes sure
tremendous runners*
@@snickaren111 400m is the most difficult one
@@blueasbestos1 U can always sit on your couch while eating chips and say they are cheating but tests say otherwise
Absolutely incredible. Sprinting after having run 10k like it's nothing. Always amazes me what humans are capable of!
I am still watching it and getting goosebumps. The best race of the olympics and one the best races ever!
All 13 deserve medal because they all broke the Olympic record for 10.000m woooooow wish I can give them medals ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice sprint from the 2nd second guy
Berihu Aregawi of Ethiopia, 7th to silver in 70 metres
That was the part that impressed me,that boost at the last 100m was so fkn impressive
Aregawi's kick was incredible.
These guys are incredible.
Him and Fisher came out of nowhere 🤯
That's unreal, there was 12 or 13 lads under 27 minutes
13! crazy race!
When it's unreal and seems to good to be true, it probably is. Keyword doping

I respect these athletes so much, the speed endurance is insane
I wonder if Aregawi could have timed that better. He finished like a steam train.

That US athlete is insane. To keep up that pace and still sprint for 2nd/3rd right after the world record holder. Crazy good.
Not only that, but with a chronic asthma condition too! You could even say it's unbelievable.
The American look from Moroccan descent. They are excellent in long race.

A healthy 25 year old should be faster at a full sprint. But yes their speeds are ridiculous nevertheless.

Aregawi's kick was incredible 7th place to 2nd in the last 100 meters
To be more specific it was like in the last 20 metres.
I wonder if he had timed it well.
But congs to me fellow countryman Joshua
10k for less than 28 minutes deserves more than a gold as an achievement than any other sports

My Ethiopians they did really a good job. Congrats 🇪🇹
They keep pulling arms from other runners? Why unfair
I came to comment that the Ethiopians kept cheating, especially Kejelcha. I am glad that cheater didn't win
Fantastic race by Cheptegei. And finally Fisher gets a medal. I feel really bad for Kejelcha though.
I was rooting for Kejelcha. I guess he was a pawn in the game for the Ethiopians? He's always around but never at the top.
wow...Joshua Cheptegei, such an inspiration to most Ugandans!
