School laminator=things the kids won't touch, art projects to take home, etc. Personal laminator=centers activities, bulletin board displays, anything I want to stand the test of time!!
If you have a school library, use it! It can save you lots of money on books. I would be glad to offer suggestions. I was the school librarian foe 32 years.
Your channel saved me. I am (was) so terrified to start my first year of Kindergarten. I feel so much better. Please understand how much of a blessing you are. A true angel.
Hi Emma! You are a big help for me! I was wondering if you can also share an in-depth video of how you plan your lessons? Like, how you choose the activities for a specific lesson, etc. That would mean a lot!!! Stay safe, and God bless you! ❤️
My district allows teachers to use the school laminator whenever they need it. I haven’t had to purchase my own. I agree on organizational purchases- totes, bins, carts, notebooks.
I’m a second teacher and agree with EVERYTHING you mentioned. Such essentials. I might have to post my own video with additional items there is JUST too many mist haves when starting out. 💗⭐️
I can’t wait to see you in year 5, you are doing such a good job being in your first year!! I stumbled upon your videos and I’m so happy I did. I start school this fall to become a teacher. So thank you for helping me know what to expect!!! ♥️♥️
Umm why do I feel like we're soul sisters or something? I start my first year in the fall and just bought two of those carts from Michaels while they were on sale. We even have the same laminator! And I saw you on TikTok and knew I should click on this video. Love it!
I'm a junior in college starting my pre reqs. for EC-6 and have about two years until I graduate. Is it to early to start slowly collecting? Should I wait? When did you start? Where did you store your things?
I started collecting things that I knew I could use at home as well as in my future classroom. Pens, markers, stapler, laminator, etc. things that I knew would be useful for the home, school, and didn’t break the bank! I also started collecting a few classic books that can be used in any grade. 🥰
Ugh, my teacher removed ALL of the classroom games because of Covid. Keep in mind I LIVE IN CANADA! For the past week, we have had indoor recesses for the past week because of the cold. My classroom gets SO loud
We've had lots of indoor recess with no games! We were able to give students a little bag of legos (no sharing) and sometimes watch funny videos on youtube or a show on Amazon video.
@@eeeeeeee60 THATS GREAT! We’re never get to watch anything on the smart board and our only other thing to do is eat a snack or read. I never bring a snack and I personally don’t like reading. I will say that every once in a while our teacher will play a game with us called “save the world” which is basically just us batting a ball around trying not to let it hit the ground. It generally gets WAY out of hand and kids start yelling and screaming. Too much for me. I mean, we at the age where I don’t think we really need games to play with lol but we’re not allowed to use our phones either. That’s a cool idea for the lego pieces though, I know I would’ve loved that. What grade are you teaching?
Girl... I'm a first year teacher, I have blonde hair/green eyes and I'm wearing the exact same sweater and necklace as you right now. Edit: and same gold hoops. Are we sisters?
I would love to see the opposite of this video too! Things you didn’t end up using and systems that didn’t work

Personal laminator is a must!!! I told my Para this snd I brought her one. I can not depend or wait for admin to get it done for me.

I have gotten so many books through our school library they were having to get rid of!!! So many books for FREE!!!
That shade of green looks really nice on you!

I highly agree on a personal laminator: I don't know what I ever did without one.
I'm a 5th year kindergarten teacher and I agree with everything in this video!

Wow Emma! You are so pretty!
Can you make a video about what books you have in your classroom? For example the books the children read.
I have to agree on the doorbell. Even my 8th graders are amazed by it.
Thank you so much for this. I am a student teacher who taught over the summer...a hot mess. My students' papers were so disorganized
Love that you included a bible verse in your description box!!

Oh my gosh girl I am not at all organized so thank you so much! this was so helpful!
Very helpful video. Keep up the good job. Just subscribed to your channel.
I'm not a school teacher but I just became a trainer for Amazon and I came here looking for some tips, tricks, and tools to maybe help make it easier
What do you call it instead of war?
Would you be open to sharing any of your activities and resources?? I am reaching the end of my student teaching and wish I did this!!!!
Thanks for your video! What did you use to hold your doorbell? Was that a mini sanitizer holder?
What font do you use on your file bins?
Where is the ladder behind you from? Super cute!!

Can you do a video on grading??
I want the Michael’s cart for my classroom but I have heard the it slants when they are full. Do you experience this?
I have these kinds of carts from Target and mine don't slant!
Where did you get the first car you showed? please I need one

Where do you purchase the teacher toolbox from?
Oh my god in September it's gonna be my first year as a (music) teacher, I don't know what to do 😭
can you link the teacher toolbox? :)
Which dry erase boards did you purchase on Amazon?
Also which size lamination sheets do you use? 3mm or 5mm? Not sure which is better! New teacher here too!
3mm is better for regular thickness paper (think computer paper, construction paper) 5mm is better for thicker paper (think notecards, cardstock)

Doggie said my mommy is the best teacher !
