This is actually my favorite girl group release of the year so far. This song has definitely changed the typical sound of this year. This is very “Heathers” to me, very pretty and neat, but a little messy or dark undertone.

HOLY SHIT I was just having this on repeat wondering why no one is talking about it, I had a drought of new good pop songs and this saved it
aquard Literally same. I was so excited to see them talk about this! What I think this song does so well is that it doesn’t get repetitive because it mixes it up so much while having a chorus that sounds so anthemic (similar to Love Bomb).

but while love bomb has a bittersweet earnest vibe this one is down right creepy minor-y with cute overtones and I'm living

i didn't get a summery vibe at all , oh my mistake puts me in a kinda nostalgic , melancholic mood while still being catchy and fun ( so very weird)
For Power Up , it's bouncy energetic and the chorus is what gives it its summer vibe, otherwise not really summer but definitely fun.
Love Bomb could feel summery but the chorus is very filled in emotion for me (?) and changes the entire mood of the song from what could be very summer-like to very emotional , reinforced by the bridge.
I really like Oh my mistake and love bomb, but not really powerup.... eh

This song, Love Bomb and Weki Meki's Crush are the current trifecta of girl group earworms clogging up my watch later list because I don't want to delete them after listening. Crush is WeMe's most interesting song harmonically to date, which is only to say it actually has a chord progression, but it also seems like it's trying to do something emotional musically. The Blue Bird is likely in my top ten girl group songs of the year. Out of a lot of great songs, it's one that rises to the top.

this song actually has a sad feeling for me bc of the synth and bass, and when PD from FormofTherapy explained the lyrics, the song does tell sort of a tragic story

I love that Kevin mentioned that the “My Mistake” part in the beginning sounds disingenuous because that’s the vibe I think they were going for. Apologizing for being beautiful. I thought the song was super cheeky and I loved that about it.

While I'm here, may I recommend pinkfantasy-iriwa? just debuted and the concept is quite unique itself because one of the members is a rabbit but ALSO the song itself gives off so many different vibes, both cute and sexy. Also have no clue what genre it is AND shindong of suju took a role in mv making I believe along with producing/composing (can't remember off the top of my head).

You all may not know korean[ idk much] But this song has a very like sad creepy, but summer happy, but tragic haunting vibe and story. Like tracking love [which is displayed in the video] and not wanting it from those who want you, and then you want someone and they don’t want you, and like that is the story. The song is purposely portrayed like robotic and sorry but not sorry. Just look up the lyrics it may help. Tbh the. Idea didn’t really do the story line justice in my opinion.
