One of the best things about donkey kong country music is the fact its not JUST music. It's full of ambient sounds, for example here there's the sound of wind.

The SNES sound files are ripped from the ROM files. They are then opened using software like Foobar to play them just like being on original hardware. This allows RAW uncompressed instrument sounds to be exported.

That level is so awesome. It was just so cool that you could jump so freaking high with that snake you get there. And do you remember that shortcut at the very beginning? There you have to jump into the void, like youre going to die, but theres actually a barrel. These secrets are awesome
Those shortcuts are in every level in the game, just hidden in different places! An awesome trait of Rareware is that these are rarely exclusive to DKC itself. They're all over their games!

Whoah man. How on earth did you get the original uncompressed samples? Stuff like this is super interesting to me.
It was basically remade with the synth the original songs were made on before they were compressed to fit on the cartridge.
