Africans more especially we Nigerians needs to be reoriented on the need we attend university. The traffic into university is another secret factor causing decrease in opportunities into “office jobs. So the mindset of going to university is a big problem in Africa. Magnificent video!
Thank you so much And you made a significant point. Very sad that there's barely anything else asides office work. Sports, handwork, craft, Tech we are lacking, talents are wasting.
As a pharmacist in Nigeria, the money you make for your employer is not your employers retained earnings. From the employee’s perspective it seems like a lot. I’ve worked for people before. When you get to the point of starting your own pharmacy, you’d almost be discouraged to even bother. Do a business plan and financial projections for starting a community pharmacy in Nigeria. Work on the financial statements for the first 5 years and let’s see how much you can estimate as retained earnings after paying your staff the kind of salary you currently wish to earn now. Then make another video detailing your findings. The moment you employ someone, someone takes the hit financially. The employer, the employee or both of them. Even in your content creation, when you employ people, you can never pay them what they’ll be satisfied with long term. People will continue to outgrow their current pay, no matter how good the pay is. Just a food for thought.
Well, not trying to say every employer isn't doing the much they can (even though some really aren't). It's just a sad reality of paid employment in a lot of cases. I guess that's why most people strive to be self employed or have multiple streams of income, but, not a lot of people can achieve it sadly. Still on still, as much as pharmacy is a beautiful course, naira is greatly devalued which is a dominating problem in the equation.
It's really a sad situation. A beautiful profession undervalued, aided by the helplessly weakened economy. It's to hustle and japa Thanks for the compliment 🤍
If Nigerian pharmacists really pass through universities they are a lot of opportunities in Nigeria. Where goko herbal medicine without pharmacy certificate is making way while some of that went school to clamm past question and hoping to make millions with no skill set.
@AyandibuOluwadamilare becoming a research pharmacist is a specialisation that you can do as your masters. It's one of the areas that I want to explore so yes it pays really cool 💸 😊
@@ebubeokoyeblogs do you think it's so because you studied pharm B I'm studying pharm D now I hope in the next 4yrs when I'm done I'll have something to show for it 🤲🤲
@JenniferClaire50 yes you will have something to show for it 😊regardless pharm D or B. Pharmacy is beautiful, but Nigerian economy is not letting pharmacists reap the "fruit" of our worth in various sectors of the career
@JenniferClaire50 one can almost never know what their career trajectory becomes tomorrow, facts. But you're studying a beautiful course, keep your head high!
Hello pls am about to enter the university and am looking on studying it but the way things are going am looking at the financial aspect of it and it seems they don't pay well so pls i need an advice on this, thanks
Hy dear Pls don't look back if you want to study pharmacy. It's a great course and we earn more compared to a lot other professions and careers. But when we consider how much we earn in Nigeria to the Abroad it just gets discouraging to keep practising here. But as a graduate you've got no choice but to do it, build your finance to travel out or join a good company or agency work for years, grow in rank and get to a point where you start enjoying a delicious pay in Nigeria. But in the Abroad, you start enjoying the delicious pay even as a young pharmacist. You see the difference now? So pharmacy is really beautiful, diverse and you can do so much with your license. I'm rooting for you!
Yes I want to. But considering many other fresh graduates who want to make ends meet and of course depend on salaries and can't afford to open a pharmacy yet or japa yet 🤷♀️ how long do they earn peanuts before they can open a pharmacy
Great presentation, i would really love to meet you in person bcos is like we have smthng in common. And you have a treasure that i need and I think i also have smthg that would be of great benefit to you as well. Please chat me up. Thanks ❤
