Always impressed with your work! You have a special connection to the music you use and it shows!!! Your videos always put a smile on my face and i cant wait to see what content you push out going into Stormblood!!
kmahna I don't want it to be, but just that my things IRL are taking off, and I want to spend time on those adventures. who knows, perhaps I'll be swayed in the future.
I want to thank you for all your wonderful videos. They have always inspired me and I can see you put your soul into your work. I hope for the best wherever your adventure takes you. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Years later I come back to these videos and I always fall in love with Eorzea all over again. Been playing since 2013 and I never get tired, no matter how many character I play through with. Beautiful work, I keep hoping someone will come along and do something similar to these cause they always make me smile.
As someone who's come and gone from the game, this video definitely does bring back the good memories I've had of the game! Can't fault the timing you've uploaded this. Just in time to reminisce everything we've seen and done so far before we travel on to the Far East! Have fun in Stormblood!
This is so beautiful~! I love the pace set by both the song choice and the way you cut together the scenes, I could vividly recall every area and the memories I've made through the years. I shed a few tears. Can't wait till Stormblood and all the memories I'll make there. Keep up the great work.
keep up the good work dont let anyone discourage you. theres always someone out there thats gonna comment on your video and be rude. just ignore those and look at the people liking it. awsome job!
Beautiful and nostalgic as always! Even if you never do another video like these, they will always be among my favorite FFXIV videos, thank you for your hard work in creating them! :D
SushiXkins ty so much for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed them. I'd like to make more, but I have some irl opportunities that I want to pursue creatively. Until next time!!
Great work as always Lycona. Makes me miss the days of running round with you, Venom, Tiger, Jack, Liddle, and the rest of Hellion. Hopefully real life will settle down enough for me to join you in Othard one day soon.
I'm watching this before Shadowbringers begins it's update....... it still brings me to tears it's so beautiful. The music and imagery get me everytime. I truly love this majestic world
What a wonderful creation we have here. You can sense the author is a real fan of FFXIV, just like I am. Thank you so much for your work, make more when SB is out !
Wish it was longer, some of scenes deserve a bit more longer showing but this is really a good job, It sums up why I play the game. FF14 should hire you to advertise for the game
Have to admit that I never really paid much attention to the small details and scenery (partly because I'm playing on a laptop) but I definitely will from now on! The world of ffxiv is actually very pretty.
Diky Wahyudi The hard part was finding smooth ground to walk on. if there were rough spots, then my character's first person view would shake as if you were to bump a camera. I had a ps4 controller hooked up and turned the sensitivity down so it gave some really nice and smooth shots.
This was awesome, the way the jumps sync to the music is great. My only disappointment was that when I saw the party with their weapons drawn I was hoping it was going to build to an army marching towards the east and what's to come in 4.0,but it was still great despite that.
Good work. Beautiful music and cinematography. I like cutting to the music but you should try changing up the rhythm a little maybe and not always cut on the piano/drum. Skipping a beat here or there or cutting to something else subverts expectations (just a video editor nitpick, keep doing what you do).
I really want to, but with irl work and how close to ShB launch we are, (about 3 weeks now) there's just not enough time for me in schedule to put something together. But one day for sure! Maybe mid-way through ShB.
The music in XIV is so great and important that I would have preferred it to be cut to tracks from the game. Also not a fan of the cuts to your own character which I assume had it's fps lowered to match the rest of the video but it makes it look like your computer is chugging instead.
Haha, thank you for the kind words. My profession is actually working in hollywood as an editor at the moment. These are just fun side projects for me. I'd love to work with SE on a project, but it wouldn't be passionate, it would be work. Even as you get to work on very cool stuff, it becomes somewhat bland. It's like watching a great movie over and over and over again, you'll get bored of it to some extent. Also, as an editor, you're always making what someone else wants. There's notes, screenings, and approval processes that you have to address before a final spot/ad/trailer is good to be released. That being said, i've made these videos without any of the hollywood/big company politics getting in the way. That's what I like about them, it is one of a few projects where I really am passionate about. Anyways, ty gl and see you in Stormblood!
maybe its not the game for you then. because i LOVE all the content, i know every single dungeon in and out, i love them all. especially binding coil and the mhach raids.
Way too many jump cuts on the beat. Beat jump cuts should happen infrequently at most, for especially relevant beats/notes/chords, not every time. It is extremely noticable and jarring, and definitely detracts from the film. You have a lot of good footage being used here, but you're cutting way too fast, and way too predictably. The song is nice too, but you've got to use more than a single editing technique for nearly 7 minutes.
When you know the game you know every single of these fast scene changes - plus later it goes back to some of those in a different point of view. The most interesting thing is how different an area looks from a point of view you cannot have with the normal player camera. Unlocking the camera (not really hard to do) brings some amazing scenes.
Hooray recommendation algorithm!

Jesse Capp ty ty! I'm glad that you enjoyed them as much as I did making them. :)
I'm always watching for you to release these vids! Love them! It's always good to look back before looking forward again!

Victor Cheong that was the plan! I'm sure if at some point you decide to come on back, you'd be most welcome.
Oh yes! I'm very excited for it! Only 8 days left to early access!
Thank you for making this amazing video, I hope you and your friends are still playing in Eorzea to this day. Keep them coming please!
David Smith Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it! We're still playing so see you in 4.2!
Fantastic as always. Still such a hype to see your work and how it shows the soul of the game!
Wow, I think this is the only video I need to show my friends to get them to join me! Absolutely beautiful
Nice!
I swear this is so well put together, fantastic job!

Even when Stormblood is out and we reach Doma....
we should never forget where we came from and what our roots are.
Wonderful video!
eorzea is always in my heart, especially ishgard. FOR ISHGARD!

Truly masterful, a great work of art made with love
Its absolutely beautiful and stunning how one player can make a gem out of a gem of a game like FFXIV
Beautiful as always!
xsirenflyx Same to you! ty ty. :)
THIS IS AMAZING!
Have to admit that I never really paid much attention to the small details and scenery (partly because I'm playing on a laptop) but I definitely will from now on! The world of ffxiv is actually very pretty.
This is.. amazing video
how did you move your camera like that?
Diky Wahyudi The hard part was finding smooth ground to walk on. if there were rough spots, then my character's first person view would shake as if you were to bump a camera. I had a ps4 controller hooked up and turned the sensitivity down so it gave some really nice and smooth shots.
Waited since the last one to see this 10/10
Cool......

You really need more subscribers.
this is really beautiful
Waiting for a stormblood updated one :D
Shadowbringers soon! Can we expect another masterpiece?

Where the hell is 4:52?!?! O.e
Palace of the Dead level 200.
Explains why I have never seen it XD
narutobands XD
Why hasnt SE recruited you to make a trailer already? your stuff is better than their non-cg trailers

awesome! I should have known you're a professional :o i play on Tonberry though.
and people say this game isn't open world
reeeeeee loading screens
It isnt.
it's instanced...
debates always gotta start lol
lol it's a themepark MMO by definition. It may be filled with cool shit, but saying this is open world is just flatly untrue
Once I finish leveling up my crafters and gatherer's to 60+, I'll have no reason to return to Eorzea ever again. It's been an amazing adventure...T_T
ExireHG not even for stormblood to get them to 70? Lmao
its such a shame that there are so many AMAZING art assets but very little memorable or noteworthy content in this game
maybe its not the game for you then. because i LOVE all the content, i know every single dungeon in and out, i love them all. especially binding coil and the mhach raids.
you love the two loot hallways you gotta run for 3 months every patch?
Way too many jump cuts on the beat.

Pierre-Yves Duval actually, every shot was done in first person view. I know that camera unlocking stuff exists, but no cheating here.
All g. Thanks for stopping by and checking it out. :)
I think the the style of the video is great.
