I'm not joking when I say that Lake Park is the easiest "full-sized" golf course you'll ever play. 6,500 from the back tees, WIDE open, flat greens, and hardly any trees. The ultimate confidence booster.
NGL, you are spot on. I started playing golf 1 year ago and took off for 7 months with the birth of my child. I was able to break 100 playing this course last year when I only started playing for 3 months. This is where I go the next day following a crappy round.😂
I shot even par at lake park right before a family tournament in chicago the next day, and proceeded to shoot a 90. Talk about ultimate high to ultimate low lol
Lake Park is by far my favorite course! Especially for a beginner it is fantastic. The greens are very well maintained, the prices are affordable, the driving range is great, and the staff is very friendly. The people golfing are often friendly there as well and are happy to give you tips. I say that Lake Park is by far my favorite course in Dallas so far.
I love my cheap home course. I usually tee off an hour or two before they even open and just pay at the turn or end of the round. They’ll even leave a couple carts out for us behind the bushes.
I worked at Lake Park in college and it’s actually a nice easy course. It gets played A TON though. There were Saturdays where we’d have over 250 rounds, tee times would go off every 7-8 minutes and the mornings would be booked solid from open to past noon. The driving range and par 3 course a big hit as well. Awesome video!
I started playing golf 35 years ago and Lakepark was my first course. It was like playing a pasture with holes punched in it. The back 9 still own many of my first Topflight yellow golfballs.
Played Lake Park in December. The 9-hole is pretty solid and the course is great! Lewisville is a cool blue collar town. Played PGA Frisco during that course too. Next time go, playing the Cowboys course for sure.
Grapevine is probably in the best shape it's ever been. They had the Texas Women's Open out there a couple of months ago. IMO, Bluebonnet is the most fun nine, but the easiest one. The other nines have a lot of water. Once in a while, Cowboys will run a special for half price.
Love all your videos and been watching for a long time. I would like to see a little deeper detail on the course rating for vids like this. Tee box's, OB area, bunker quality.. Also, you and Jake make great content together. Keep doing that
I love Lake Park super affordable and great for beginners. The driving range does close due to the lake flooding it sometimes. Greens are always in good condition. They also have a separate 9 hole course
I live in southern Oklahoma North of Durant Ok. I've played almost all the courses you are doing around here. You have to play Karsten Creek in Stillwater ok
I mean, it was literally on the same grounds lol. You get $50 in free food, better carts and GPS, water bottles at every tee... If you can afford it, it's definitely a much better experience, even if the course itself is similar.
I really like both courses but Cowboys is completely different. Very well kept and bigger elevation differences than Grapevine. Not only do you get two full meals also anting on the course from the cart girl and the halfway house is free…except alcohol
I played in 2 tournaments at lake park during my junior days and it was the first course I ever broke 80 on during a competitive round. It is pretty dang easy haha
Nice looking courses. $250 a lot steep for the Cowboy Club, but would be a great experience. If you ever come out to Ventura County, will treat you to Soule Park. Best public course in Ventura County by a mile! Great vid!
Waterview GC in Rowlett is where I’ve golfed my whole life. Would love for you to review it. So many people complain about it around here but it’s in great condition and everyone I take says it’s great.
Played my first round of golf at Lake Park since I grew up in Lewisville. #1 hasnt changed much but it use to be longer and a Par 5. Played grapevine a few times back in the 80s. You from DFW???
Please review Champions Circle! North Fort Worth area. $50-70 dollars depending when you go. Best bang for your buck on the Fort Worth side of the metro
I’m gonna be the guy who points out none of these courses are in Dallas or even Dallas county. Not that it matters, you do your thing, but if someone is heading towards Dallas to play these courses, they’re going the wrong way.
Lake Park is no longer the cheapest in DFW, easiest yes cheapest yes. Prairie Lakes is well maintained and cheaper due to lake park not having cart fee in price anymore
Bro. Lake parks greens are so slow. I shot an 80 there last year with 40 putts because they were so miserably slow I couldn’t bring myself to hit as hard as I needed too lol. Including leaving an eagle putt 3 feet short 😂😂😂
U bet cha it was really “ fastest man on earth “ created the term “throw the Bomb”. My grandfather had season tickets as a kid I saw Bullet Bob scream past everyone. Two or three cornerbacks 😮didn’t matter. The good ole days
Love lake park. It’s where I learned how to play golf. Also the best place for people to learn. Cowboys is the most overrated golf course though. Grapevine is more fun.
I’ve played the cowboys course I didn’t know it was 250 to play I definitely would not have paid nothing near that and I played with a cowboy hall of fame
Most popular cheapest course (played it well over 100 times), most popular mid price in grapevine, missed on the most expensive - that would go to fields ranch at PGA Headquarters. Almost $500. Cowboys may be the most popular $200 plus. Hard to say - can't afford to play at those courses enough to get a feel for the crowds lol - could go to the old american. Grapevine isn't much worse than cowboys - this is well known. Cowboys is nowhere near the quality it should be for the price (the course part anyway - amenities are great).
i didnt like lake park...at least being a member. i always wanted to play the larger and nicer 18 hole course. but they wouldnt let me play 9 after work without paying for the full price for 18 or sending me too the really hard ground 9 hole course. they never would give me a raincheck if i didnt finish. and the few times i played a full 18 on the weekend it was way to crowded where people wanted to pass me and i would just say no bc im already waiting on people who were waiting on poeple in front of them....and i walked 1 time with the same pace as the carts lol. had several conversations on several deferent holes with someone in his own cart lol.
Lake Park became so crowded during and after Covid that it stopped being fun - they forced you to play with groups and would suggest to double up with strangers in carts. I play to get some mental solitude, not for competition. The entire Dallas area become inundated with so many novice players, who have no sense of etiquette, it just stopped being fun - especially with 5 to 6 hour rounds. I don't mind players who are learning, as long as they have a least some self-awareness. They will often take two shots of the tee, want to search for, and try to hit, every errant shot (usually many shots), stand over the ball for 5 minutes on the green, and don't seem to understand they should let faster players play through. I have played golf for almost 40 years, but my last round was over a year ago - oh well, I can watch Josh instead. PS to newbies and lazy golfers - REPLACE YOUR DIVOTS AND FIX YOUR BALL MARKS ON THE GREENS!
Why did you not play coyote ridge? I think its a nicer course than Grapevine, a little more expensive, and probably woulda given you a nice comparison to the most expensive
Honestly, since he is going to Lewisville and arlington. He could have done Tour 18, or Texas star both on the higher end of public courses pricing wise in DFW but better quality courses.
But yeah Grapevine is fairly amazing value also. Cowboys does do great deals online also. The free meals and course conditions make it worth it. If you haven't played it, you should.

LIVIN
Grapevine GC is amazing, but so hard to get a tee time! Awesome video as always, big dog!
Appreciate it brother!
@@JoshMayerGolfcome play at bridlewood golf course next in flower mound tx best golf course thats where i work
Almost impossible to get an early tee time.
I worked at Lake Park in college and it’s actually a nice easy course. It gets played A TON though. 28 bucks for lake park is a steal in my opinion!! great video like always
Love me some lake park. Appreciate it brother!
Played here bout 3 times always had fun time
Played Lake Park in December. The 9-hole is pretty solid and the course is great! Lewisville is a cool blue collar town.

This is great. We NEED a Vegas video like this with the Wynn golf club
👀
The Revere is a great course too
Lake park is one of my favorites because of how open it is
Great video, you know he's from the area throwing down the "PEE-CAN" That Cowboys course is sick!!
Lake Park is amazing! Shot 2 PRs there
where is the green feather hat from?
Wasn't expecting the Hatebreed shirt, but I'm very here for it.
Bringing back some teenage memories
I like your putting stroke better with that putter than the black one, solid end over end roll for sure.
Waterchase in Arlington is the sneaky gem nobody plays
I'd rather get 4 rounds of golf for the price of one. Didn't look like the cowboys course was that different to the other one
I mean, it was literally on the same grounds lol.
You get $50 in free food, better carts and GPS, water bottles at every tee...
If you can afford it, it's definitely a much better experience, even if the course itself is similar.
Cowboys is a real treat if you love to golf and eat, their food is incredible and course is pretty fun
Grapevine is good if you can get on but you can’t ever get a tee time there unless you want to play at 5 PM
It's a lot different. Like a lot. Played all of them.
I really like both courses but Cowboys is completely different. Very well kept and bigger elevation differences than Grapevine.

I played in 2 tournaments at lake park during my junior days and it was the first course I ever broke 80 on during a competitive round. It is pretty dang easy haha
Only course I ever shot under par. If you can drive it fat and even relatively straight it’s wedges and putts
Grew up in Flower Mount so Lake park is my childhood course, Grapevine is my course now (when I visit) and some day cowboys might be my course
Have played both the Grapevine and Cowboys course several times. One day at the Cowboys course we got in 45 holes!
Also...I think the new PGA Frisco course is more than Cowboys now... need a video update.
PGA was more expensive than cowboys 5 months before this video was released.
Ya, PGA is more expensive and was open a ways before this video was made.
RUclips golf warped my mind, because you said Micah Parsons and all I pictured was Micah Morris lol
Nice looking courses. $250 a lot steep for the Cowboy Club, but would be a great experience. If you ever come out to Ventura County, will treat you to Soule Park. Best public course in Ventura County by a mile! Great vid!
$250 is definitely a little aggressive. At the end of the day I think worth the experience. Appreciate you watching brother!
Im gonna be really real here for a second. It great to see Josh wearing a shirt i owned 18 years ago.
Waterview GC in Rowlett is where I’ve golfed my whole life. Would love for you to review it. So many people complain about it around here but it’s in great condition and everyone I take says it’s great.
Good spot, come check out Woodbridge down the street sometime!
Played my first round of golf at Lake Park since I grew up in Lewisville. #1 hasnt changed much but it use to be longer and a Par 5. Played grapevine a few times back in the 80s. You from DFW???
Cowboys is not the most expensive public course in Dallas but it's a good one. I love playing there.
Check out cedar crest golf course in Dallas county
Lake Park is a great course. Perfect for people just starting out.
You missed the best part about Cowboys. The tangerine towel after you finish 18.
the new takomos are nice man. I appreciate it!
If you are ever looking for a 1v1 match at bridlewood let me know! Need some practice before Texas Mid Amateur
Please review Champions Circle! North Fort Worth area. $50-70 dollars depending when you go. Best bang for your buck on the Fort Worth side of the metro
Lake park ROCKS! Only place I’ve ever broke 70 lol.
For $28 the first course is very impressive
I played at the cowboys loved it and check out the Texas rangers golf course to
I’m gonna be the guy who points out none of these courses are in Dallas or even Dallas county. Not that it matters, you do your thing, but if someone is heading towards Dallas to play these courses, they’re going the wrong way.
Grapevine is on par with Cowboys with the same undulations and scenery at a fraction of the price.
Isn’t the pga/omni resort in Frisco course $380 to play at
Lake Park is awesome! Love that course for the price 👍
Lake Park is no longer the cheapest in DFW, easiest yes cheapest yes. Prairie Lakes is well maintained and cheaper due to lake park not having cart fee in price anymore
Fields Ranch East in Frisco is the most expensive course in DFW, not Cowboys.
Played the cowboys course last summer. Golfmoose coupon for $150. Definitely worth it! 👍 😊
That last hole at grapevine was not a par 5😂
I think PGA frisco is the priciest one in the area but Cowboys twilight rate is where it’s at for $65
Need to get you out at shady oaks
I wanna play the cowboy course so bad. I played one near it and it was decent. Don’t recall the name but it was in Dallas.
Grapevine golf course or right next to cowboys. That may be it
0:20.
Hatebreed shirt
Do you listen to Metal music?
Played here and shot 77. Super easy but fun
This was a great video
Love the hatebreed shirt!!🤘🏼
Bro. Lake parks greens are so slow. I shot an 80 there last year with 40 putts because they were so miserably slow I couldn’t bring myself to hit as hard as I needed too lol. Including leaving an eagle putt 3 feet short 😂😂😂
I am a cowboys fan so I'm going to have to add that last course to my bucket list.
Play Texas Rangers Golf Club, then go across the street to a Cowboys game for the same price....
Bullet Bob Hayes. WR for the Cowboys. Only athlete to win an Olympic Gold and Super Bowl ring.
Can anyone point me in the direction of that green hat with the feather logo from the grapevine segment?
Love the hatebreed shirt man.
Do a Houston edition like this
I have played lake park it was lit
shot 30 over
Ha, lake park and their 9 is my main course🤣
I’d play that course all the time for only $28 🙌🏽🔥⛳️
Grapevine Muni is dope
Unforgivable: Bullet Bob Hayes. Fastest man on earth. Didn’t know who he was? 😮
Rangers blows cowboys out of the water. And old American ain’t no slouch.
Not for nothing but none of these courses are in Dallas.
I play Lake Park every week. If you want to do a VS video, I can beat you soundly.
Bob Hayes: “World’s Fastest Man”; Olympic Gold Medalist; #22, WR; Cowboys Ring Of Honor.
U bet cha it was really “ fastest man on earth “ created the term “throw the Bomb”. My grandfather had season tickets as a kid I saw Bullet Bob scream past everyone. Two or three cornerbacks 😮didn’t matter. The good ole days
That steak looked well done lowkey haha
Best tracks in Dallas low to high (in my opinion)
Stevens park
Texas rangers
Old American/ cowboys
Oh....I forgot. Love the channel.
Love you more
Such a great thumbnail!
Looks pretty dang good for $28
You need to hit up a course in DALLAS lol
Waterchase is best public course in DFW area
100%
Texas Star and Tierra Verde are my favorites.
Grapevine should cost 25 bucks, not great not maintained that well. If it's still alive they do have one of the tallest trees in Texas on the course.
$250 for cowboys is the biggest scam ive ever seen, highway robbery. Played it one time and the whole course was beat up. Never again.
Too bad getting a tee time to grapevine is almost impossible😢😂
Tenison Glen course is $17
Lol got 2nd in a group golf tournament wearing jeans, danner hiking shoes, camo jacket and a hat. No need for all those fancy golf clothes people buy.
Amen
Most popular cheapest course (played it well over 100 times), most popular mid price in grapevine, missed on the most expensive - that would go to fields ranch at PGA Headquarters. Almost $500. They aren’t in Dallas!
Do the courses in Dallas, not other towns.
They all seem worth the price🏌️
As a Steelers fan I give the Cowboys Club a big fat goose egg. O
Are you actually a hatebreed fan? If so, that's pretty sick!! 👍
i didnt like lake park...at least being a member. i always wanted to play the larger and nicer 18 hole course. but they wouldnt let me play 9 after work without paying for the full price for 18 or sending me too the really hard ground 9 hole course. they never would give me a raincheck if i didnt finish. and the few times i played a full 18 on the weekend it was way to crowded where people wanted to pass me and i would just say no bc im already waiting on people who were waiting on poeple in front of them....and i walked 1 time with the same pace as the carts lol. had several conversations on several deferent holes with someone in his own cart lol.
man F NJ hahahah I played for 40 today and it was hot garbage and the going rate is 80-100 for anything mediocre. nice courses start at 125
I'm shocked $250 is the most expensive. It's Dallas, billionaires there. They gotta have at least 1 ultra premium course there
Most expensive public course
It’s not the most expensive course. PGA course in frisco is more expensive
Lake Park became so crowded during and after Covid that it stopped being fun - they forced you to play with groups and would suggest to double up with strangers in carts. I hate how Coyote Ridge has jacked the price up over the past 7 years.
Honestly, since he is going to Lewisville and arlington. He could have done Tour 18, or Texas star both on the higher end of public courses pricing wise in DFW but better quality courses.
Do you watch cleetus McFarland??
Hatebreed fan for real?!?! I knew you were alright.
Indian Creek is the best value IMO
But yeah Grapevine is fairly amazing value also. Cowboys does do great deals online also. The free meals and course conditions make it worth it. If you haven't played it, you should.
Worst value Coyote Ridge, people paying over $100 to play there, why? Do you hate money?
Post your score too
I hear everything you're saying. Now, can we convince my wife that its worth it? 😂
That post round meal sounds like a built in date night with the wifey 👀
@@JoshMayerGolf Oh, I like the way you are putting this together.
