That first jump on Trick Track Trek looked more difficult than Oil Drum Alley as a whole. Sometimes just one jump can really mess you around, eh? And that's with Oil Drum Alley being ridiculous in its own right. This is where the game starts to throw Krushas at you, which even DK can't knock out (As you obviously know by now, lol). In the original DK country, I only remember Krusha being in the very last level of the entire game, but they really do make the game a BIG pain in the butt because of how they toss you off and/or chew your guts up. Looks like that level forced you to maneuver around them in such small platforms. Whoever made this ROM, they definitely know how to make a level challenging and annoying. 21:43 very good reflexes! You got me with that one. Mine Cart Madness, I'm writing this before watching that part, but I'm ready to see you go through another crazy difficulty curve. Hopefully! Okay, so I think that's what Mine Cart Madness SHOULD have been like in the original DK Country to contrast the difficulty of Mine Cart Mayhem. Mine Cart Madness in the original game was a joke compared to Mine Cart Mayhem, as it is much later in the game but WAY easier. But this? Looks like it was actually more difficult than Mine Cart Mayhem, which on one hand, it should be, because everyone should expect the worst of hell in a mine cart level! But GG to you for making it through that at all with its cheap tricks like beavers and krushas on the freaking rails. How can they stand on those rails when you can't, anyways? And now Blackout Basement, probably the most difficult level in the original DK Country and one of the hardest levels in the series. Looks like in this ROM hack there are areas where you have to see in the dark? I don't know what they were thinking by chaining spiked tires next to each other, so there are some areas where you can't possibly clear a whole obstacle without being blind to what the heck you gotta do. I see you even started cutting your clips at the end of each jump just because you needed so much time to get your bearings together, because in the second half of the level, every single freaking jump was a leap of faith. It's one thing to be a speedrunner or long-time player or whatever, but not being an experienced player and still managing to get through a level like that is something else. You shown your ability to get through such stupidly crazy situations patiently and with perseverance no matter what the game throws at you. Boss Dumb Drum feels more like a break from the chaos than anything, I bet. Considering it's yet another boss that is unchanged. Awesome playing in this one, bud. But there's one more world to go, and you'll have to see just how much more crazy it is than this world. I said Blackout Basement is the hardest level in DK Country, but I think that would have to go to Platform Perils, the very last level in the game. I have in good faith you know the original game very well so I'll let that statement write itself, and if so, you already know the platforms in that level are on par with the levels in this ROM hack. Now just imagine how much more difficult it'll be in this ROM hack? It almost makes me not even want to know.
@@StatickyCat lmao this game was driving me nuts man. I love a challenge but holy hell 😆. Yeah I had to do alot of cuts cuz I was chatting during the live stream with some ppl and getting my bearings 😆. Tho it still came out to be a long video hahaha. Just wanted to show how ridiculous the game is. Omg I’m on the last part of the game and man….. I’m ready to give up lol. Those grey Krushas and fast moving bees is killin me lol, I may have to take a step back till I can play it, my thumbs are sore hahahah. Aye appreciate you tho! Sticking with me 🙏🏼🤓. I’ll post up some more crazy hack games I came across soon 👍🏼🤪
