I don’t know if you remember me or not but my grandma used to be in a relationship with your dad Billy. We all lived in Georgia. Glad to see you are doing well. Daniel and I are about to start a gun channel ourselves because Daniel owns a gun store here in Warner Robins. Oh I just thought of another thing that might help you remember who I am. 100% on the Ammo. Started shooting Turkish Milspec. It’s easily hotter than +P. Extended controls: I have the same problem you stated with Caniks. I send it to slide lock in about five rounds. As for sights, I went to the local beauty products store and bought the most obnoxious orange fingernail polish in stock. My front sights are all now that bright orange.
Brother, I didn't know my first AR until 2017 lol Thanks to Vegas and understanding how things work. Anyways, you are a blessing to the community. You have a lot of good knowledge and you have a good way of explaining things. We appreciate you
I personally love the granulate texture on all my on and off duty guns. For conceal carry I just add a wrap of hockey tape around the grip and that keeps most of the grit off my skin making it way more comfortable for CC imo. Try it out and see what you think.
What I like about your videos is the amount of knowledge spilled out in a single video. Most would make this into 3-5 videos, but you find ways to make it concise with great visuals on hand. It is much appreciated.
Nice collection man. I messed with comps, triggers and spring weights years ago. In the end I went back to stock internals on my defensive stuff. It's peace of mind for me. Honestly I'd recommend any new shooters out there to put at least 1000 rounds through your new gun as it is and get good and comfy with it before you think about changing anything. If and when you change something - test...test...test. And then test some more. 90% reliability due to aftermarket parts can be 100% failure in a bad situation. Your sight recommendation is spot on. Trijicon HDs are my favorite irons. Pricey but worth it imo. Anyway, great video. Always enjoy em. Carry on
All of these are excellent suggestions. As a Marine and former LEO, the only thing on this list I don't prefer for a duty, carry, or home defense gun is compensators. The reason is that he is correct in that they help tremendously, but in the dark your night vision is obliterated. Military and LEOs know exactly what I mean. Not saying people should not use them, just consider the main purpose of your gun with a comp and understand what to expect you have one on your defense arm. No bad, good, or indifferent just weighing in based on my my observations.
Speaking PSA, I just picked up a PSA Dagger Micro compensated slide, G43 barrel in a G48 slide, looking forward to my next range trip with this one. an additional plus is this slide will fit the PSA Micro grip, and Glock grips for G43/43X/48, std or MOS.
Great list on improving your EDC gun. Grip is the most important upgrade. Still shoot with tritium sights, but I’m looking to get a red dot. Going to be a little hard on my PT111, but I’m researching options. Put a compensator barrel on my PT111; that little bit has helped muzzle rise massively. I love my PT111, over 1000 round through the gun and no hiccups. For $175 brand new, nothing beats that gun. All my upgrades makes it better that any Glock I’ve shot and still less expensive. Plus it was a 12+1 sub compact, before anyone else. That’s why I still EDC, even though I’m left handed.
Yah that is definitely a problem I have seen even with the factory serialized built ones sadly. Luckily mine has a phenomenal trigger that could almost pass as a timminy just a little heavier.
With all slides you have tested, which after market slide would you recommend for edc, for a glock 19 gen 5 mos. Im not worried about all the extra gooci cuts. For edc I would rather stay with only serrations, and no cut outs. I have a Holosun scs for my optic. Thanks for the feed back.
Upgrades have a couple of unconventional ways to help your actual performance. First of all, its more comfortable. Obviously. your firearm being more comfortable shoot makes you more likely to want to go out to the range and train. Also, upgrades are fun and exciting sometimes. To me, anything that makes you want to go out and train isn’t a bad thing. If you get an upgrade and find out that it’s not very good, thats fine. As long as you’re training and learning your firearm/getting comfortable with your firearm. The more comfortable you are the quicker it will become second nature. The less you have to think about in a stressful situation, the more you can focus on getting on target and doing what you need to do.

I think in something like a Glock, a trigger upgrade is huge. Putting a different trigger in made me a way way better shooter. Also with my canik sub compact, i shoot way better than with a glock 19. Likely the trigger.

I own the Canik TP9 Elite SC For me personally, it fits the bill of all these upgrades from the factory. However, I do have to use the extended magazine because of how large my hands are. Even cramming my middle and ring finger against the trigger guard my ring finger still hangs past the bottom of the mag well. They even have grip on the extention mag which is real nice.
Just put together a glock 17 with ever upgrade you can thik of. Not one jam or misfire in a 1000 plus rounds. Watching this channel defiantly helped me out.
I treated my first G17 like a LEGO set and tried out a ton of different "upgrades". Did a lot of playing with springs and got my trigger down to about 2 lb but a light striker spring induced light primer strikes so I had to back off. Tried some snazzy titanium frame pins and drop safety. They don't wear... They seem to chip. Replaced with stainless. Everything else is worked out pretty well but that's my fun gun, not self-defense.
Hey big bro, you got any recommendations on comps for the mr920 elite? Other than the ramjet and afterburner? Like budget friendly lol but not super cheap I guess something in between. That's not 400 bucks lol
@sv2697 I'm shooting low left alot, yeah I prob do need more training I'm sure we all need more training 💪 but thr difference between my compensated sig vs my mr920 is night and day man. Like it makes shooting better in everyway.
The ammo company you mention is expensive for reloads. $.30 a bullet for 9mm reloads is crazy when you can get Blazer brass, mag tech, and federal for $.23-$.25 per round.
The Tactical Development Pro Ledge was a game changer for my wife's Hellcat Pro. I'm a very competent shooter, and that thing was making me look like a noob until I put that ledge on.

More great content. A lot of helpful information. I'm glad to see the content coming out. Btw what range was that you showed at the beginning of the video. I'm looking for something other than Ben Avery or the desert.
Glad to see you back.
Very in-depth. Thank you!
I own the Canik TP9 Elite SC
For me personally, it fits the bill of all these upgrades from the factory.
However, I do have to use the extended magazine because of how large my hands are.
Even cramming my middle and ring finger against the trigger guard my ring finger still hangs past the bottom of the mag well.
They even have grip on the extention mag which is real nice.
Great to see you again. I really enjoy your breakdowns. Stay safe bro.🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲
Thank you for sharing your advice with us 🙏 🏴☠️
Bob Vogel has an awesome video on how to properly grip a firearm. It may be on his channel, but I saw it on Taran's.
the early footage was that at the casa grande range?
What is your favorite compinsator for PSA dagger
Is that the EPS carry you have on your G45 with the Radian Guardian?
I love your videos I carry both the psa dagger and the 43x. They answer all my questions I've been thinking about
So i was looking to go with a dagger , p10c OR , or a pdp. But the problem with the p10 is i cannot find the right plates for my holosun sadly...
I knew you could buy skill when I tried a compensated 2011, those things are amazing.
HE"S BACK!
Hey big bro, you got any recommendations on comps for the mr920 elite? Other than the ramjet and afterburner? Like budget friendly lol but not super cheap I guess something in between. That's not 400 bucks lol
U don't need a comp, u just need more training!
@sv2697 I'm shooting low left alot, yeah I prob do need more training I'm sure we all need more training 💪 but thr difference between my compensated sig vs my mr920 is night and day man. Like it makes shooting better in everyway.
Will you ever check out the stealth arms platypus? It's a double stack 1911 that takes glock mags nd you can customize it for under 2,000
Was going on with your other channel update on the type r Honda civic ???
The ammo company you mention is expensive for reloads. $.30 a bullet for 9mm reloads is crazy when you can get Blazer brass, mag tech, and federal for $.23-$.25 per round.
What's the name of the holster for the thumb hold
Welcome back brother
The Tactical Development Pro Ledge was a game changer for my wife's Hellcat Pro. I'm a very competent shooter, and that thing was making me look like a noob until I put that ledge on.
0:56 is that Elzy Pearson? I didn't realize you were in the area.
Thank you for posting a new video! I was jonesing bad!!!
Im sadly in so cal can you do a ca compliant build?
