If I remember the explanation correctly, Jump Man Mario the carpenter? from the OG Donkey Kong game rescues Pauline from the ape and goes on to marry her. Pauline has two sons by Jump Man, Mario Mario and Luigi Mario, who go on to become plumbers.

Which makes it bittersweet when Mario's cap was either fixed or he got a new one. It's great that Mario got his iconic item back after it got destroyed at the beginning of the game but Cappy is such an invaluable ally that it's really sad that he and Mario have to part ways after this game.

Do you think Mario and Bowser by this point simply just do the whole saving the princess thing just for the hell of it? Cause seriously, every time. It's almost like Peach wants to get kidnaped, Bowser does it so he can battle Mario, and then Mario does it to save the princess. If Peach gave him a kiss for every time Mario saved her, well let's just say he'd been kissed by her a lot. And he's beaten Bowser equally a lot.
I really hope that by this point Mario and Bowser are more like friendly rivals, cause that would actually explain why they are okay with working together in spinoffs, or even Mario Kart, or even when playing Tennis. I mean, back in the day, probably not, but nowadays, it's almost like a meme how every mainstream Mario game has Peach kidnaped, Mario goes and defeats Bowser and saves the princess, EVERY GAME! If it's yearly, that means he's saved the princess 37 times, assuming there's a mainstream Mario game every year. You'd think Bowser would just give up on seriously trying to kidnap Peach and would just do it just for old times sake.
I mean, Mario and Bowser have a rivalry as iconic as Goku and Vegeta, or even Sonic and Eggman. It's kind of ridiculous if you were to assume Mario and Bowser don't respect the relation between the two of them. If given the chance, those two will be doing the whole saving the princess thing forever. You can't just go like that without having some sort of respect. Especially when you consider how many times Mario and Bowser seem to call a truce to play some fun and enjoyable sports like kart racing, golfing, tennis, soccer, and heck, even have parties! Think about that!

I feel like Peach's reaction had less to do with rejecting Mario, and more to do with how childishly competitive and forceful of the situation he started acting when Bowser suddenly chimed in. Bowser's interference degraded Mario from acting like a gallant hero, into a needy lunatic. Totally ruining the mood, and angering Peach that he'd act like that.
To me, the whole thing just felt like a flimsy excuse to teeter on the brink of giving us what we all want out of a Mario story (that being Mario and Peach finally ending up together), but without letting it actually happen. Thus, having it be foiled by cartoonish antics that may get kids, and some adults, to laugh.

Man I love this game to death I really loved playing it and going around collecting all the moons it really felt like it was a dream a new mainline Mario game and the Nintendo devs really killed it was with this game the only thing I didn't like is I found Mario Odyssey kind of short and I was able to beat it in just a short amount of time other than that everything else was just great can wait to see how the next big Mario game is going to be like I am excited

I think the creators of this game are insane. Mad scientist insane. Somewhere in all the crazy ideas they slammed together, an incredible thing was formed.
Man they put so much detail in the final mission. Mario odyssey is a work of art, new favorite game hands down.
Everytime i play mario oddsey, i feel like im about to cry because the ending is so good
really? I found it quite mediocre, in some aspects plain bad. Right up there with Sunshine. It had no real challenging platforming outside of cheap gimmicky levels like Darker side of the moon ( especially the 2d part that kept changing the input directions was idiotic, artificial difficulty = laziness), most moons were pointless, outside maybe 20 - 30 the whole game the others were just do this then repeat this in that level, now do that again and again and again on the next level. It got pretty old pretty fast. Felt like an Ubisoft quest to do check list on every map. The end game is ATROCIOUS, one of the worst i have ever seen on a Mario title. You break the moon rocks and there are moons just up there on a platform , waiting for you to pick them up. On the end game. End game is supposed to offer you challenge not artificially make the game longer. The hardest part was finding the Art moons which were as hard and convoluted as the developer wanted to present the hint , on a platformer that says a lot. Once you see past its initial charm (which in truth is great) all that remains is not that good. Sure I got everything and I had a good time at the start but when I realised how uninspired it is it just fullfilled it's whole design philosophy and purpose : A grand repetitive charming time waster.

This game is still a total masterpiece. There’s literally not a single flaw I can think of. Clever plot, likable characters, arguably the best physics and controls in a 3D platformer, authentic concepts (like the “capturing” gameplay and the 2D moments), brilliant level design and freedom, attractive graphics, cool locations, and great music!

If you think about it, Peach was thinking about the decision to be with Bowser. If she didn’t want anything to do with him she could have just go to Mario, but she didn’t. Peach stood there and started thinking.

I always thought it was so cool that when the player puts the hat on bowser it shows the early 2 bit versions of him. This game has so many memorizable nostalgic game memories in it including the 2 bit levels, the skins, etc.

The next Mario game they should do that Mario, Luigi, and Toad get tricked into a trap by Bowser thinking Peach was kidnapped again so then Peach, Rosalina, Daisy, and maybe Toadette have to go save them.
One thing I noticed was he didn't get the yoshi fruits, which means he bought a lot of moons. If u want to buy most of your moons, play balloon world.
