He’s so on point. He knew his music would be classic. 30 years later and I cannot get enough. Such a shame how the media hated on him and his battle with addiction.
It's nice to hear Scott before he was so damaged that he could scarcely string a sentence together. He was a smart and very creative and talented guy. He had a gift for melody that no one else comes close to and the textures and timbre of his voice were just crazy. RIP Scott.
Scott was 100% right about the music from the early to mid 90s being considered classic in the future. Glad I was a teenager during that time. Such a great time to grow up in.
Wow! This interview is a gem. I've been a lifelong STP fan since the 90s and have met Weiland a year before he passed while he toured with the Wildabouts. Thank you so much for uploading this!
This is gold. Thank you for posting this. Scott really was highly intelligent and a thinker. Just makes me love him more. What a tragedy. Wish he was still with us. It’s so sad.
I’ve seen so much footage of Scott and read what people experienced when meeting him. What he says at the end about remaining humble lest his gift be taken away, I really feel like he lived that . He was , by numerous accounts humble and kind to his fans and even the paparazzi. He genuinely respected the music in spite of the challenges he faced amongst the disease of addiction . I always was impressed by how unaffected he was by fame . RIP. My favorite 🖤
I'm so greatful this guy was BORN or we wouldn't have his incredible music incredible lyrics ID hate to think if he was never created we would not have such a incredibly talented musician human being I listen to Stone Temple Pilots every single day and I'm a 56 year old woman go and I'm 57 he was born one year after I was born and man am I so bloody grateful he was I miss you Scott but I'm so grateful I still have all your music from the 90s and onwards rest peacefully beautiful man You Beautiful Soul! SCOTT ♥️
I love the question What else would you have done ? I always wondered what else he liked as far as a career. Professor Scott Weiland Rest easy and thanks for posting this.
When you hear Kurt Cobain final interviews - it's sad, but at least he had a choice to not to live, because he don't want to. But hearing Scott interviews is a lot harder(not particularly this one, there he sounds healthy), but latest years, where you can see & hear, he really want to stay, but his health doesn't allow it.((
Two band mates in the group The Association found out they were banging the same chick and they too laughed about it. They went on to write a song about it called Along comes Mary which was a huge hit.
It's so upsetting to me that these record companies who have the resources to help the people that made them lots of money kick these guys to the curb instead of doing everything they can to help these talented performers. I really miss Scott, he was incredible
Back in the day I thought the name STP was so clever because I thought they were referring to Erich Von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods stuff. You know, like the ancient rock carved temple art from thousands of years ago where it looks like someone is flying an ancient rocket - being like a "Stone Temple Pilot". I was so disappointed years later to hear that the name basically meant nothing to them.
yep, Scott once made a reference to those temple carvings in an interview. The name's rather weird but intriguing you know? Like it just rolls off your tongue, 'Stone Temple Pilotssss'.
That's not the story of how they met Eric, according to Eric. There was, in fact, an ad in the paper for a drummer and Eric called and they chatted for hours.

@@TammyM36Lol. Because no one has ever lied about their life. 😂. The whole Black Flag story is a lie. Black Flag had already been broken up when Scott claims he met Robert. Not to mention, I've never heard either of them ever talk about the band after that. Scott was always searching for credibility unfortunately instead of just being himself. Notice how long he takes to answer very simple questions. You can practically see the wheels turning

I love his talking voice almost as much as his singing voice. Has such a nice sound to it.
Scott was a pure genius to me. i will love him forever. RIP ! you are missed.
Could you imagine having Scott as a teacher? That would have been a fun class.
There Scott Is/Was. So nice to hear him sounding happy.
I'm getting into STP more than ever as well as Alice In Chains
Scott is a Grammy winning artist who'll always remembered.
I love listening to this, feels like he’s right here with me

GlowingOneBright
What are the fake ones like?
DUMB COMMENT
He nailed it when he said that the music of his time was going to be classic
This is gold. Thank you for posting this. Scott really was highly intelligent and a thinker. Just makes me love him more. What a tragedy. Wish he was still with us. It’s so sad.
When you put the speed of the video to 1.25x he actually sounds normal while speaking!

Scott is my hero.
Great pictures of him before the drugs changed his body
What a loss.....
John Brown
Ya think ?
I love the question
What else would you have done ?
I always wondered what else he liked as far as a career.
Professor Scott Weiland
Rest easy and thanks for posting this.
I heard he was good in football too
LOVE
He was a GOD
Interwiews like this should be subtitled 😉

Exactly. Agreed.
Scott is my ❤ but also this interviewer is excellent!
Great interview. Not sure how much of it's the truth.
Two band mates in the group The Association found out they were banging the same chick and they too laughed about it. They went on to write a song about it called Along comes Mary which was a huge hit.
Thanks so much for uploading this! Scott is among my favorite singers ever, learned many interesting insights here

But it can still mean that to you.
Not 4th of July but New Years is when they would run the Twilight Zone marathon
Billy Idol might've been commercial but his Gen X roots were far from cheesy
That's not the story of how they met Eric, according to Eric. There was, in fact, an ad in the paper for a drummer and Eric called and they chatted for hours.
Both stories could be true. They were probably looking around and scouting while their ad was out.
It’s the story I’ve always heard
When was this
Quanto mi sarebbe piaciuto conoscerlo allora 😉💓💋
Who is Kim Krimson that he said when he was talking about Deans guitar playing style? I never heard of that band.
King Crimson
😄

Legend like you never die ♥️that’s true
I think he has Iowa confused with Kentucky..lol actually can't believe ge said that.
Very cool interview, although I'm not sure how accurate some of the information is in the beginning.
Why wouldn’t it be accurate. He talking about HIS own life
