Damn....You never heard of Yu Yu Hakusho!? Kalluto is a boy. Surprised your chat didn't say anything and even the video you're watching the guy says, 'He' looks more feminine in the manga. Video actually misses some changes like Uvo punching out worm's eye and the crater for Big Bang Impact being much smaller. In Heaven's Arena when Zushi is kidnapped and saved by Killua he gives a big talk to the abductors about Gon's character. Before that Leorio in the Zoldyck arc Leorio wasn't comic relief when they were let into the cabin. He even opened the 1000 pound/Or Kilo door to get into the cabin.

8:30 many such cases unfortunetly, first full metal alchemist was half filler and got a different ending, Soul Eater ends in the middle of the manga and gets 12 anime original episodes, whole Tokyo Ghoul anime..
I actually liked the first full metal alchemist. They diverged from the manga but what they did with the story was still interesting. I really liked Dante too.
YuYu Hakusho is great and the dub is actually really good too id tune in for a reaction.
The video still got some stuff wrong, like the ending choice to greed island was shown in the anime, also he doesn't mention some pretty big changes, like the manga showed how Illumi and Kalluto helped Hisoka escape from the PT to fight Chrollo.
Dwun asks for the ending choice but gon doesn't answer the same. I'm pretty sure in the anime he cuts him off before he can answer to say there's no special ending.

An anime where the anime staff decided to do their own thing separate from the manga was og fullmetal alchemist
It's mostly because they caught up with the manga though. This is why I'm glad more studios decide to do seasons instead of the usual formula for long running manga.
The Anime covers the first 339 Chapters so far and there are 400 currently overall (and 2 important extra chapters).
I definitely wouldn't recommend for you to read the Manga now, since you're not rly a Manga-Reader and it would be hard to understand what is happening.
That is not meant as an offense, there's just so much happening, so many characters and so much "depth", that you will need a huge recap beforehand.
Yuyu Hakusho is good but in the same way Naruto and Dragonball are good. It's way more classic shonen compared to hxh. That's probably why people don't recommend it because if you liked hxh and go into yuyu Hakusho expecting the same level of writing you'd be disappointed. It's a good manga and has its moments but togashi was still learning and evolved to make something as exceptional as hxh to avoid the many flaws of yuyu Hakusho.
