Darts is actually a pretty cool sport to watch. It was commercialized around the idea of it being a pub sport, so the whole presentation is tongue-in-cheek which is a huge boon as it's different. The sport itself is an intense mental battle with momentum often flowing back and forth, which makes for a fun viewing experience.
i like to watch the reactions of the opponent when a player gets the "9" i feel it says a lot about their personality, and also the reaction of the player and how they acknowledge the opponent, i also feel this tells a lot about a players true character

I've wired 10 times more than I've hit in practise (I've only ever hit one 9 darter in my life). In competitive games I've never even got close -- maybe a 15 darter or three and once an 13 dart leg. (Also did a 10 dart leg in a competitive doubles match once, but that was only 50% me, and my partner did the tough bit: finishing.)
