The fact that the second woman was oblivious to the fact that Michael was in her house and was right behind her as she closed her blinds after she'd just gotten the call about his escape was creepy.
@Paraone Ngatai Yeah in the original some people might have heard of a kid who'd killed his sister and been locked up for 15 years but Michael wasn't that well known. But 40 years later in 2018 his murder of Judith in 1963 and his murders of Annie, Bob and Lynda and attempted murder of Laurie traumatising her for life became public knowledge.
I like when Michael was just wondering the streets stepping into random houses, and stabbing or bludgeoning people to death. All casual and well thought out, brilliantly done.
I just realized, it's been about 11 years since we heard the original Carpenter theme or a variation of it in a film, properly. If I recall correctly it's not actually in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. That makes it even better. Carpenter gets to be the one to reintroduce it.
I love that even this new track has an Easter Egg to the original Halloween II soundtrack. The little sting at 3:20 is featured at the end of that movies main title theme
Just think us die hard Halloween fans this time last year were over the moon when they announced they were in fact doing a Halloween movie and it was going to be going back to the early days. Rember that feeling? Now we are 4 weeks away , do yourselves a favour be careful online because I'm hearing of people spoiling the movie and the more early showings there are well I'm sure you catch my drift. I'm going October 20 I can't wait, gonna watch the original Friday night and Saturday go pick up my Myers mask and that night watch the new movie. Hope you all are as pumped as I am.
Mike Joseph I consider myself a diehard fan of the series but I am very cautiously optimistic at best for this movie and I wish my expectations were higher but sadly they are pretty low. I haven't heard too many spoilers other than what the various trailers have shown which apparently is quite a lot. Some of the reviews coming out of the Toronto Film Fest as I'm sure you are aware which I won't repeat here have sadly reinforced what I have suspected the film is going to do and be the last few months. I am definitely going to see it opening day and I hope it is better than I expect it to be. Just be very careful in regards to viewing the score b/c apparently the track listing pretty much gives away everything that is going to happen in the film.
@@salnal338 ya the score isn't out until October 19th either. As far as being cautious about this movie being a great Halloween movie look at it this way, the last real true Halloween film we got was Halloween 2 1981. I know people will argue and say naaa 4 was great no it really wasn't it was ok but never great. To be great there are at least 4 true Halloween feel boxes to check off and if a Halloween film passes these it's a great Halloween movie. 1.The Score. John Carpenter 2. The Shape's mask 3. Michael Myers movements / ( head tilt, sits up turns, a sort of supernatural flavour like 78. 4. Keeping the shape in the shadows not over showing him. Part one did all these and part 2 also followed this for the most part. I feel this movie will nail all these and the movie will be just as good or better then Halloween 2.
Mike Joseph So I agree with you to a certain extent. So I agree the score (whether it is done by Carpenter, Howarth or someone else) is critical to the film. Yes the mask is very important, outside of the original, my favorite masks are Halloween II and Halloween 6. His movements are crucial as well, the scariest Michael's to me are the original, Halloween II, and Halloween 4 and 6. I feel like most of the movies did a good job of not showing him with the exception of 5, 6, 8 and the remake series. They showed him a bit too much. Where I disagree with you is that I don't think Halloween II is the best sequel and I do feel that objectively Halloween 4 is the best sequel so far with Halloween II very very close behind it. The primary reason I give it to Halloween 4 is the pacing is a bit better and the character development is much better. Other than Jimmy, Mrs. Alves, Deputy Hunt and to a lesser extent Nurse Jill, I didn't really care for the other characters. Even the really small roles in 4 I really enjoyed. I do hope Halloween 2018 is better than I expect it to be. It is always nice to see Michael on the big screen and I hope this film will do the series justice. It may very well end up being the best sequel or it could be the worse although for me I feel the worse sequel is and always will be Resurrection with Halloween 2 (remake series) a close second. I am curious as to what your thoughts are on H20?
@@salnal338 honestly I do not like H20 the shape is horrible in every way, the score is non existent, it just didn't feel like a Halloween movie to me, I like the original and part 2 mainly because it feels like it's part of the original mostly cause it's the same night I still have issues with the shape in part 2 I feel he acts way to different then Nick did but all in all for me it's part 1, 2 and 4 is a decent sequel . I am glad they retconned the sequels I want this movie to feel as much like the original with a modern feel as possible and I have a feeling they achieved it.
I love this - It's extremely clean and sounds great. I just wish they wouldn't keep cutting it off during the build up! I hope the album has a version where it keeps that buildup going as in the original theme. I start getting so pumped and then it abruptly cuts to ambient and I'm like" AHH DAMNIT!"

Old school and modern style mesh together I love it 👍👍Carpenter is the GOAT
It's so good to hear this new track! I am so excited to see the new movie! Carpenter music has always been great. His music makes the movie even better!!
I can definitely hear a mix of 1978 halloween and 1981 halloween 2 themes in this one...I like it
There are no words how I can describe this awesome and scary soothing theme it's beyond perfect
VenomKnight yep 👍 fam I know I like ur picture btw and I’m going too see this in theaters I want this movie too blow up the box office.

VenomKnight XD 😁
John Carpenter is a GENIUS and MASTER. He is one of the many reasons why Halloween is legendary and iconic.
0:01 That part always sends chills down your spine. He never disappoints us.
It's a mix of the the Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2 themes, but modern and It's perfect, John Carpenter did it again with the score!! #halloween2018
This is beautiful! So proud of John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies!
John Carpenter is the movie soundtrack king!!!!!!!!
Carpenter is phenomenal as always.
OH OH OH OH MA GAWWWWD!! THIS IS BLOODY BRILLIANT. SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL EVERY PART OF IT. IS IT WEIRD THAT I STARTED DANCING AT ONE POINT??
LOVE YOU JOHN CODY AND DANIEL!!! Xxx
Kinda feel like I could have sex to this theme now? Fucking hell I need help!
Suzanne Jones LMAO 😁
@@suzannejones1035 WTF! LMAO xD
Love it! Classic tune with a modern vibe all working together!
Halloween is one of the greatest movies ever made and we are finally getting an incredible looking sequel!!!
Most Badass Halloween theme ever!!!! John Carpenter is the best original horror film director & master of horror period! *"The Shape Returns"* is like 1978's retro style meets modern 2018's!
If a Christine sequel or reboot comes Carpenter NEEDS to do the music again
The first Halloween movie I ever watched was this year's. And just the musical arrangement was enough to give me the creeps...
I was wondering how they were gonna make this theme fit into the movie somehow, ended up being to probably the best scene in the movie.
I like when Michael was just wondering the streets stepping into random houses, and stabbing or bludgeoning people to death. All casual and well thought out, brilliantly done.
Maximus1Decimus like he was warming up.
It’s a series standout for sure.
If it wasn't for John's field of expertise, this trilogy wouldn't be anywhere close to be as successful as it is
Love John Carpenter's music so much! The inspection for so many great artist 🔪🔪🎃🎹🎶
I just realized, it's been about 11 years since we heard the original Carpenter theme or a variation of it in a film, properly. If I recall correctly it's not actually in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. That makes it even better. Carpenter gets to be the one to reintroduce it.
That ticking sound that kicks in at 1:05 is so sick!
The best horror score in history updated, I like. Can't wait for the movie come out next month. :)
Holy god isn’t this the best soundtrack for a movie John Carpenter ,I love your amazing soundtracks
🔥🔥🔥
The first time I heard this, I had goosebumps. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
These nostalgia waves are INTENSE!!
I know right?
I can't stop listening this song WHAT A MASTERPIECE 😍❤❤ can't wait to see the movie!!! I love Michael Myers ❤
No one can perform the Halloween theme better than the man himself. Thank you, John Carpenter.
GAAAHHHHHH!!!!! This is so ducking awesome and hella spunky/retro/meta. I’m all in
I love that even this new track has an Easter Egg to the original Halloween II soundtrack. The little sting at 3:20 is featured at the end of that movies main title theme
Halloween, Michael Myers, Synths....
God it's almost like you WANT me to fall in love with this movie.
Christmas Eve 2019 and I'm here bumping this in my truck
I got chills! This has the perfect blend of old school horror and modern film score. I'm in love
This is just AMAZING, it's reminiscent of the original Halloween sound track, which was also beautiful made by John.
I feel that he's taking every Hallween theme from every other movie and putting it in here.
H1 H2 H5 even H6
Effective but it doesnt commit to its own sound. 3 act breaks and a ending.
Its like 4 pieces total. Frantic. We shall see...
jayroman1978 tbh. Im getting h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,h7,h8,h9,h10,h11 vives
That’s what I’m thinking
He is
Tyrene Mckenzie it’s a celebration of the 40 year history.
And 40 years later… He once again comes back home.
This is absolutely brilliant! I've been listening to this on repeat since its release! 1:35 - 1:54 is my favorite part! 🎃🔪
2:56 god I love how quite it is.... so subtle and amazing
After all these years, the one take was one of the best things this Requel had to offer!
I'm trying to stay the fuck away from comments. If I get spoiled I'd be so upset
John Carpenter
2. The Shape's mask
3. Michael Myers movements /
( head tilt, sits up turns, a sort of supernatural flavour like 78.
I’m even more hyped to see this movie
All up in the record's
Galaxin dancing.........
In theater. Digital surround. Max volume. Can't wait.
I love listening to this in the gym. Carpenter really made an amazing soundtrack
I love this new theme!! I cant wait to see the film!! It's gonna be the ultimate showdown between Michael and Laurie
I love this - It's extremely clean and sounds great. I just wish they wouldn't keep cutting it off during the build up! I hope the album has a version where it keeps that buildup going as in the original theme. I start getting so pumped and then it abruptly cuts to ambient and I'm like" AHH DAMNIT!"
shinehouse probably fits the context of the scene it plays
The whole soundtrack is great.
Best part of the music 1:34 untill1:52
EARGASM! Feeling and immersive like my first viewing (and listening to course) Halloween (1978). Nostalgia returns!!!
Legend is finally back !!!
