Still, good movie overall, and as an slasher film one of the best.
Just got back from seeing it! It literally is THE BEST sequel to a fucking legendary horror classic. I walked into it with low expectations, but I came out extremely satisfied. Unfortunately, the ending implies that the cash machine will come into play and there will be a dozen more sequels within the next 20 years. However, I feel that this film gave Laurie's story a proper close that both Jamie Lee Curtis and her character as well as John Carpenter deserved.
@@benjaminfouche5991 As long as they learn from the other sequel's failures. No Laurie being Michael's sister, no cult of Thorn or trying to explain Michael and for fuck sake, no kung fu fighting Busta Rhymes.
To be fair, there was actually a plan for them to make this movie and the next one (I've taken to calling it "Halloween 2: The Third Movie") back to back but Blumhouse and the directors decided to wait and see how fans responded before filming the next one because they didn't want to spend a year+ making the next movie if everyone hated the last one they made. So the next one my still be good, since it was in the cards when they were making this one and it sounds like the same team is coming back. After that though? I'll be a lot more cautious.
@GoldenFox2109 I think they should do an Anthology Series with the Halloween Franchise again. End the story of Laurie and Michael with Halloween (2018) and try again what didn't work out with Halloween 3: Season of the Witch because people at that time weren't ready for that.
I truly find it interesting how John can take this very old tune and change it every single time in a way that just gets better and better. I love every single Halloween movie but this 2018 version is so much darker and honestly sinister. I feel like you can feel the anger in it and perfectly captures everything Michael is all these years later. John Carpenter you are really god tier.
I'm so glad the new movie didn't suck. I would've changed a few things here and there, but it was still great. More importantly, Michael is as evil and brutal as ever.
I hope the next one is even better. I like it when films have a mix of story and action and drama. It does not have to be highly complex because they can get a bit tedious. It needs to be enjoyable but you also need to know why certain things are happening. You need substance.

There's something urgent-sounding about the beginning of this song. Like you're running from Michael but no matter how fast you go, somehow, he keeps getting closer.
Just saw the movie for the second time! Liked it better this time around! Noticed some new Easter eggs! The teacher in Allyson’s class is PJ Soles who played Linda in the original. Also Cameron’s dad is Lonny (one of the original bullies of Tommy Doyle and the kid who walked up to Michaels house but wouldn’t go in)
So many nods and not just to the original. The cops who were discussing their dinner in the cruiser were clear homages to the goofy boys in blue in Halloween 5.
Einer der besten Songs von John Carpenter. Wahnsinnig gute Sounds und absolut passende Performance. Die Filme und die Musik war der Brüller in meiner Kindheit!
This movie is powerful because of this song, it has an influence from the song of the exorcist in my opinion, that constant piano like a heartbeat, very few horror movies have their own song
This is absolutely brilliant! Carpenter is masterful! John, Cody, and Daniel did a phenomenal job on this! After this and The Shape Returns, I cannot wait for the full release of the soundtrack! Incredibly excited for the film as well! 🎃🔪
5:17 This freakin melody omg I cant get over how perfect it fits. As soon as I heard it first in the chase scene, I knew people would be talking about it - it instantly rivaled the original theme.
Imagine this song playing at the end of Halloween Ends, when it's actually Myers who wins the final battle. It would make the whole thing so terrifying : You can't kill evil, you can't defeat evil. It is eternal, Halloween is triumphant.
that really should be the ending, no more movies, just micheal standing victorious over the corpse of laurie strode. haddonfield goes into panic as they realize that he can't be stopped. And once he's done with haddonfield, only then will he rest

When I saw the movie at the theater, and as the credits were rolling and 1:04 came up as I was exiting the premise, I remember it gave me such an adrenaline feeling. It can be best described as you yourself have just gone through Michaels's killing spree.

Damn straight. That's a nice throw back to the 80's type of sound.
Yessss!!!
Yes the original song is “the shape hunts Allyson” !!!! I’ve been listening to it non-stop
I love the rest, but I agree. That gave me chills. That strong synth with that galloping bass is too g*ddamn good.
simply OUTSTANDING. Cody, Daniel & John are a killer team!!!
agree
Already iconic...🎃🔪4 days left...!!!
3 days
It’s been iconic for forty years, and now it’s back >:D
Lol my birthday is on the 4 days left! 🥳🎃😈👻💀☠️🕸🦂♏️
@@jackiemartinez4756 Uh who cares
mor3la haha your probably just jealous for not being born in October
This is going to sound amazing in the dolby cinema. The hybrid of old school and new school. Perfection.
Ronin my man fancy seeing you here by now i am sure you've seen this glorious sequel and return to true horror what did you think of the film bruh.
@@kamron1175 I watched it twice. I really like the film a lot. I got a few problems but overall it's a definitive sequel. Not perfect but that's okay. It came close
Tight im seeing it a second time on the day of Halloween and yeah its not a PERFECT film by any stretch but it is a worthy sequel but that SCORE however is pure PERFECTION been listening to the soundtrack since seeing the film nonstop.
@@kamron1175 the score is amazing. I've been driving around town listening to it in the car. I feel like I'm in a John Carpenter film. It's great
The Main theme sounds amazing in the cinema, with the rebuilding pumpkin. Just amazing
The movie was amazing!!!
There's something urgent-sounding about the beginning of this song. Like you're running from Michael but no matter how fast you go, somehow, he keeps getting closer.
"No matter how fast you run, Michael Myers can walk faster".
I already got my ticket for Thursday,I'm so hyped for this movie🤘🤘🤘
Me too! So stoked!
Same here!! Thursday @7. Pumped! Going to watch the original before I head to theater! 👍🏻
@@mikearangio6931 me too
Me 2
I'm going to see it at a movie theater down here in Florida
This is my absolute FAVORITE use of the theme song.
And also *the Shape Burns.*
What a movie, it was pure perfection..... Michael is back, and he's fucking scary again
And he'll be back once again... and there's gonna be serious carnage in Halloween Kills
Absolute masterpiece of its kind.
The night HE returned to theaters
awesome i love how its placed together
Just saw the movie for the second time! Liked it better this time around! Noticed some new Easter eggs! The teacher in Allyson’s class is PJ Soles who played Linda in the original. Also Cameron’s dad is Lonny (one of the original bullies of Tommy Doyle and the kid who walked up to Michaels house but wouldn’t go in)
So many nods and not just to the original. The cops who were discussing their dinner in the cruiser were clear homages to the goofy boys in blue in Halloween 5.
On behalf of ALL of your fans.............may I be the first to say.............MR.MYERS WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!WE'VE MISSED YOU!!!!!
Thanks.
@@michaelmyers1168 the man the myth the legend
This new trilogy is underrated imo its one of the best trilogies of the past decade with one of the best soundtracks ever for each film
Oh definitely
And people don't focus on them because they don't like these... help them out!
@ry.hillner i think ends maybe even slightly better than 2018
Einer der besten Songs von John Carpenter. Wahnsinnig gute Sounds und absolut passende Performance. Die Filme und die Musik war der Brüller in meiner Kindheit!
John Carpenter is an absolute genius. His musical prowess is exceptional.
This sounds amazing. Can't wait for the movie.
this is true meaning of LEGENDERY
Cd
That Synth at 5:20 🙌🔥
Gives me goosebumps every time I hear Carpenter's original. Now I can say that about Cody's too. He definitely gets his talent from his dad.
This is John's. With some minor help from his son.
I love that change at 5:17. Halloween 2018 was the best horror remake of all time.
Love it! Saw John Carpenter perform last Sunday in Manchester! Amazing!!!!!
Should’ve been more thankful for 2018
Now looking back it was one of the best.
This is an amazing rendition of the theme. This is like if Halloween was also an action-war movie. Bravo, Mr. Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
So amazing. Wish John Carpenter would just do a scene for a Halloween movie. That boat has sailed but it would have been cool.
I stayed the whole credit at movie theatre just to listen this soundtrack.
You can also hear Michael's Creepy breathing sound at the end of credits.
@@ayushs1881 im alive
Same I shuddered (pun inte ded) when that his breathing had happened!! I think everyone did, but I was #1st!
Always loved the Halloween soundtrack. But this... Oh man. Mr John Carpenter can do no wrong.
They really did a good job with this movie and soundtrack.
This song was playing in the ending credits, was so dope after such an amazing craft we got to listen to it with the credits falling down ^^
The best Halloween soundtrack I heard so far.
Father and son composing the music for a legendary icon, movie and franchise. That gives me chills.
Who knows, we MAY have a 50 and 60th anniversary additions lol
BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER!!! Ending was triple then what I expected. Like IF you guys saw it and agree with me.
I work at a haunted house as an actor, this is what I listen to on the way there during off season event's and day's during the season to get me pumped up and ready to scare.
Michael may have lost a battle, but he has won the war.
Mr.Pleasence would of love this
KamiKaze I SHOT HIM 6 TIMES!!!!
RIP mr.pleasence
Favourite track from the film. Its so good!
The 2018 movie was so good...
Literally Michael Myers deserves more horror gaming references and horror games, because to me Michael Myers is the king of Horror, and is One (some) of the most popular killers in horror history
Magnificent!
Michael Myers is back!
Only 3 more days!
And he comes home, again!!!
Went to see this 2 years ago nearly ... and it was amazing and even better since its a classic (i love classic horrors) . My mum couldn't watch half way through though lol . Masterpiece
I worked at a movie theater when this film came out, that part at 5:17 always got me dancing as I cleaned the rooms up
“Its Halloween Micheal, everyone’s entitled to one god scare.” Bracket
“Michael Myers murdered five people.....
And, he’s a human being we need to understand?”
That number went up quite a bit after the new movie.
Lol seriously
CidGuerreiro1234 dude his kill count was in the Rob Zombie range. He killed what, six before he even got his mask back.
He killed at least 10 by the end of Halloween II per the sheriff's deputy.
She spoke like Loomis.

Thank you for coming back.
Already ready for this movie!!! I'm not able to see it Thursday night or Friday, but Sunday works!!! I'm so excited!!!
When I saw the movie at the theater, and as the credits were rolling and 1:04 came up as I was exiting the premise, I remember it gave me such an adrenaline feeling. It can be best described as you yourself have just gone through Michaels's killing spree.
I’d seen every movie in the series many times, including Zombie’s films. But this one actually freaked me out a bit. Not sure why but it left me feeling uneasy in the best way. Michael was scary in this one for sure.
Donald pleasance should be here to see this
He's with us in spirit.
What a legend.
R.I.P. Donald Pleasence 😥😢😭
I guarantee he’s looking down with a smile right now.

Triumphant is the right word for the return of Michael Myers.
Each version of this music that I found is absolutely amazing. My favorite horror movie since I was 10
To think, that everyone’s scared of this iconic villain... and it’s William Shatner.
Its not william shatner. Its actually Michael Myers. William would have been slaughered in the first movie you dummy
@@mrnullimore099 don't be an idiot. The mask was originally a William shatner mask
A Bacardi ad with the trashiest music came on before the video and I jumped screens because I thought it was the score. Truly terrifying.
We’re all entitled to one good scare.
Was it that ad with only people's legs in frame 😂😂
@@ConnivingSoyboy I see what you did there
The crowd for when me and my brother saw opening day was the perfect sort, the ones reacting to all the scary, insane and funny moments, it was one of the best moving going experiences, next to "Evil Dead (2013)" and "Avengers: Endgame".
Same and my theater was PACKED! Course it was at AMC butso!
I'm so ready for this.
