I mention in the video having a problem with the camera staying calibrated in Light Burn. I went through all the steps a second time and have had no issue since. In fact I haven't used that camera in about a month, had it disconnected from my computer and in the corner. Re-setup up everything yesterday and all my settings were still there and ready to go. This is hands down the best accessory i have tested for these lasers.
Glad this equipment worked out for you, time being saved is a good thing. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Everyone stay warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Love the info on all the machines you have been testing out. Great job
So when we see lights flashing in your shop at night we'll know what's going on! Pretty cool. Thanks for Sharing!
Thanks was wondering about the camera. I already have the laser so this will make a great addition.
So far I like it, will have to keep this video updated if it stays calibrated though.
Where is the link to the other set up video you mentioned? 😁🛫
Sorry adding it now!
I have this camera on the Longer Ray 5 10 watt with air assist, after getting the camera calibrated it is dead on. I can start a burn pick up the part place it back on the bed and move the image back on top of the burn and run the burn again with out shadows.
The boom of the camera has to be placed at a downward angle because the camera mount is not able to set the camera at 90 degrees. If the camera boom is at 90 degrees or parallel to the bed you will have a parallax in the image. The camera lens should be set 42 mm from the bed but this is no critical. Having a calibrated camera is a real material and time saver for me. I can use skeletons from from other jobs that has useable material left on it. And place the burn where I need it with precision.😁🛫
Have you had any issues with having to recalibrate or doesn't the set up stay in lightburn for you?
@@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks I have not had any issues with one exception last night I updated my Lightburn to version 1.04
The camera off set was moved back to zero. What I do to recalibrate is make a circle and burn it at 2800 mm/m at 80 % power on my 10 watt Longer Ray after the burn I update the camera image with out moving the material. The line of the first burn should of the burn ( I use line 3 the green as it is easy to see ) the green line should be right over top of burned circle. If not on the camera tab you will see a field for adjusting the X shift and Y shift. If your circle is not directly over the burn moved the green image over top of the burn using the shift off sets of X and Y. I hope this helps.😁🛫
Thanks so much for the reply, that is really helpful. After my last time recalibrating it has been working fine. I even had to completely shut down and restart my laptop, reloading Lightburn and all my settings were there. So here's to fingers crossed it stays that way/
Isn’t technology great and challenging.
I prefer to call technology a frustrating road to potentially great results.
