    Top video! Brings back fond memories of my v8 disco. Best addition I made to mine after fitting better tyres was a rear diff lock

    Quality vids man, ive got a 95 Discovery. Been in storage for a while due to a backup daily hogging all the repair money. Complete brake system failure and a $2200 repair bill had it in repair jail. Hoping to get it fixed finally. Mines a Gen 1. Miss driving it so your videos are keeping the dream alive. Keep up the content. 3.9 L Gen 1 Disco

    I'd definitely be keen to do a run next time you head down the Rakaia river. I'm in Rolleston so just down the road.

    Then after the run they all had to replace their head gaskets.

    I'm amazed the range rover has survived so long with being snorkeled. Must be a rear mounted air intake.

      The old rangie has in internal snorkel into the cabin 👍 sneaky haha

    What are the discos like for reliability? Ive always liked p38 range rovers but they seem to have a lot of issues

    • @Crawlerer79
      @Crawlerer79  4 года назад

      Honestly I have very few issues with mine for what it gets out through... I have friends with other brands and they have a similar if not more problems... really depends how you look after them. And I couldn’t tell you about P38s tho, never owned one!

      Land rovers in themselves are great little wagons. But it's really down to the owner. If you look after them and maintain them they will perform just as well if not better than most landcruiser and patrols.

      A badly owned P could get you some trouble trust me. But it is a rather fantastic piece of motoring. Diesels are slow but reliable. V8s a bit less, lots of cracked blocks and heads. But they do sounds amazing. Biggest issues are interiors and electronics. If a cpu goes bad it is a major fault probably not worth fixing. But spares are around in UK. Bit less everywhere else.

    bro how do you keep your distributor dry and not have any cut out issues in the water

    • @Crawlerer79
      @Crawlerer79  4 года назад

      Bit of silicon, Vaseline, CRC and some ice cream containers as splash shields! I’ll do a full video on it soon tho!
