    its fun to see these middle of the road guys i grew up watching... the names you would see on a leaderboard occasionally but never know anything about them. and find out 2 decades later through social media they are awesome guys with gorgeous swings (and fucking sticks, obviously). amazing what things like youtube bring us.

    Awesome to see the results of a true fitting. Have been fitted multiple times inside a fitting bay and never panned out. Playing sim2 max D with Speeder shaft. Very low draw ball not what I have played for years. Love the high fade!

    How does the driver shaft he's using compare to the Ventus Blue TR? Are more guys on tour using the Ventus Blue TR compared to last year? It seems some have swapped last year's Black out for the Blue TR. Thoughts? I swapped out my old Tensei White Raw X for the Ventus Blue TR 6X... night and day, mate. No wonder you like starting fittings with that brand.

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад +2

      Yea it's no secret that it's my go to shaft when I don't know too much about a player or I'm under the pump with limited shots. Some guys are switching to TR and others are sticking where they were, it's case by case. The HZRDUS Blue Deano uses is a touch softer than the TR Blue, a great shaft in the PX line up and definitely one I gravitate towards if required.

    awesome review... i am trying to decide between the Stealth 2 plus and the standard Stealth 2..... I am 58 with a 88-94 mph swing speed ..hit a fairly straight high ball with a 2800 to 3300 spin and am a 8-10 handicap......does a slower swing speed still fit into a stealth plus ... which one do you think would be most practical for me and maybe get my spin down ?....am looking at a UST PROFORCE V2 HL regular flex shaft also... thx cheers ffrom Vulcan Alberta

  • @jwild5360

    Trotti off topic question. When u soft step x100s you put the wedge/9i shaft in the wedge or the 8i shaft?
    Obviously 8i would keep the set more “factory” but essentially isn’t the PW already softstepped in a standard set?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      Wedge shafts tend to step the same from PW down. I think that’s what you’re asking

      @@trottiegolf what shaft are you putting in the set PW if you want to soft step an x100?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад +2

      @@jwild5360 soft step I'm putting the 9 in the PW & at the top end the 3i in the 4i BUT a lot of guys put 8i shafts in 9, PW, wedges as the first step provides the difference in frequency and feel.
      All I will add.....
      This is an old school way of doing things and very few of the younger guys get caught up in hard or soft stepping. For me it's a minor change, now if you're that dialed and asking that question then maybe you are but I wouldn't want a PLYR to obsess on this.

    • @jwild5360
      @jwild5360 Год назад

      @@trottiegolf correct so your essentially not soft stepping the PW as the 9i shaft is already installed in a factory straight in PW.
      Or you could say a standard PW is already softstepped.
      Yes I’m a playing professional Havnt earned my card yet grinding the mini tours coming out of injury status etc etc. personally I feel the difference quite easily. I don’t see much difference on trackman it’s just a feel thing. The same as I feel half a swingweight. Very picky on feels in my hands unfortuantly.

    have another question for you or anyone that knows......i want to order the SIM 2 MAX but can only order it stock online.....once i get it can i take it into any golf shop and get 1.25 inches cut off so its 44 1/2 inches and a midsize grip put on.? .... my reason for going with the SIM 2 MAX instead of the STEALTH 2 is price and is it really that better....SIM 2 MAX ( 500 Canadian ) STEALTH 2 ( 800 Canadian )...is this the way to go do you think....welcome all thoughts ....cheers from Canada

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      You can but the swingweight will be all over the shop, so I wouldn't recommend that move.

      TXG showed the same thing. His "start of the season" stats are way off from last year. Thing is that clearly he's not happy about the support he's getting but really that should have been left indoors. Or he should have just showed up with the Stealth like Morikawa took out the SIM.
