Seems weird to make a general public driver tailored for the best player ever …. I get it, he isnt the only “pro level” golfer who’d want this version but seems a very small percentage of player (higher end pros) that particular head will be for …or am i totally off in my estimation as a true hacker 😬🤷🏼♂️👍🏼✌️
Qi35 has multiple models and then you dial in to the model that best suits your game. Tiger on the LS Many Tour boys will be on the Core , mainly those who want a touch more spin. Then there's a Max model that'll give you the 10K inertia , basically means "bloody straight" even on mishits. Some muppets on here will say "it's marketing waft" I get it but worth a try if you can't hit it in play. Then there's a Max light model. Aimed at the older crowd or folks with no speed, you can fire a lighter shaft into that and maintain swing weights that keep your life real. Don't know what swing weights are, watch this (see below) an old video but still one of my best that nobody pays enough attention to: ruclips.net/video/Ww2GaXSEX9Q/видео.htmlsi=OzTNsYJKNt-BdMu6 Then you have this fitting head with markers under the last layer of carbon on the face. No idea what the haters will say on that one but it's designed to pick up face angles and then help with your fitting process. Kinda cool to see to be honest but someone will say it's pony I'm sure. Summary is, there's a head for all. So don't just see Tiger and know you're never gonna be good enough to use that driver. Bottom line you stick his name in the title cause he's a legend and when he talks you get him in the video for the same reason above. My honest opinion. I think TM have nailed this in 25. Am I biased? I try not to be but they're my team man and I ain't hit another companies driver in many yrs, but why do I need to when the products are so good. Hope that helps
@ yeah , thanks . I tend to forget skill levels are quite (more)varied , or more so than me (a hacker 20+ HC), 15 handicappers, 10 hc, 5, etc ..There’s probably 10,000 golfers for each stroke +5 to 30 handicappers ..lol.. I’ll check out your swing weight video 👍🏼✌🏻
@ it's about the LOFT, it has to be. Loft is what hits the ball. Now if the shaft impacts that loft then yea I'll buy that but don't be wavered by how crucial the loft is
Love this thing trottie. I love your dedication to explaining everything for us too. Don’t get the negative talk when it comes to another new product. Even if it just feels and looks different, that’s enough for me. Always chasing that perfect feeling driver for sure!
This is the best looking driver by a country mile this year, absolutely love the look of the LS model, the matte carbon finish with touches of gloss is a winner for me, thanks Trottie👌🍻👍
Love how Trotty actually explains the LS model and the type of player it could be for rather than just saying “this is for the best players” and not reviewing it properly like the majority of other golf RUclipsrs 👏🏻
After giving it some thought, I completely agree with you. Yes he is doing a sales pitch because it is the company he works for. But the information and the honesty and the transparency are good enough for me. I respect it. And I am not even a tailor-made guy, but rather a Ping fan boy. Good on him. 👍
I would love to see the manufacturer do an HONEST review of new tech vs something like the M1 or M2. Truly a fraction of a percentage gain, if even that.
The original stealth was hot I loved it when I had it, stealth 2 was awful tour accuracy numbers showed that. Qi10 was an improvement I’m excited to try this to see if it can give me the same fire power my stealth did.
Question for yall: if I have the Qi10 Max but I have the shaft that I like already (this would also go for the fairway woods and hybrids too), is the loft sleeve the same so I don't have to get a new shaft for it?
Why the smaller head for LS? I ask because it seems like all the LS drivers out there are smaller and why i still have my ping g/ls in the bag with a backup in the garage .
@@chrissygoncarsbikes7872 you have got that right. At best the improvement is incremental. I have been fit twice at the Ping proving grounds in Canada. At least those guys tell you there are incremental improvements and they only release every two years. They even tell you that if you have the most recent model, the new model is not for you. They only suggest new models if your clubs are older than five or seven years old and you are in the market to buy new ones… I appreciated their honesty. Do other brands provide that honesty as well?
You said in the video that the LS is slightly smaller? Does that mean it’s less than 460cc? I prefer that and that is why I’ve been looking more towards a GT4. But my favorite driver ever was the SLDR 430. The stealth 2 head I played for a while felt good but it too big.
Does Taylormade actually fit Tiger at the Kingdom or elsewhere or does he just tell you exactly what he wants and you build it and send it to him to test in private at his home. ?
I understand R&D, advertising, and paying all these tour pros sponsorship but with charging $600 for these Drivers nowadays is crazy. They should at least through in the fitting now at these prices!!! I'm just saying to go out and buy a full bag now is well over $3k-$4k. 😢 maybe a little birdie hint hint can push this concept to TM.
OMG with the marketing speal again, "projected CG so that you don't have to worry about the GC anymore" gimme a break! 😅 Seen reviews of Qi35LS where spins are below 1000rpm, lol who is that for? Seen the 5th head, the fitting head used with Quad (only device it's for?) and it didn't read the face data, dude needed to add dot's on it to read, does the quad need an update for it to work? What about TM, most poplar fitting device in the world, does the fitting head do anything with it?
Jesus Trottie would they not have given you one of the actually fitting heads for the review rather than just putting the stickers on a regular one 😅 drivers themselves look class though 👌
🤣 - someone else said that, I never gave it a second thought as always like to test the club I'm potentially gonna play. Love that folks are embracing the fitting head, that's a good thing. I guess I gotta get on the same page
A lot of this knowledge you would think to yourself, well no sh*t thats a no brainer. But Tiger and Trotti both have a lot of little tid bits of information that can help you improve in the game of golf. If you implement what theyre saying correctly. Why do you think his son Charlie is getting so good. That man knows what the f*ck he's talking about.. but at the same time everyone has their own preference how they want to hit the golf ball.
I think drivers are getting to light, Manufacturers are saving weight and then all the fitters are adding it back, drivers off the rack are like D0/1/2 and most of that is from the longer shafts buying some back, rack shaft lengths are now like 45.75 , go to a more normal 44.5 /.75 and your now dropping well into the C weights. Biggest step forwards in golf tech for me are the mini drivers, go like stink and can hit off a tee or the deck, I've dropped a 3w and carry Dr, mini , 5 wood now
Head weights are the same as have been on tour for last 20 yrs. Manufacturers are simply placing the weight in a specific location better than ever before BUT the shell weights are the same.
@@greasby1golf871 all dependent on build spec but a solid range on tour is 195g to 200g no sleeve to give you in the region of D3-D5 dependent on shaft type and length. So sub 200g is a solid window. Gotta be seeing something funky to be getting down to D0 - D2 range
Would you prefer companies stop producing new products? Trying to see what all your negativity is knowing you bought a driver from them and now you’re trashing them in RUclips comments….
“Weight savings” means compromised integrity with a life expectancy of just over 12 months. Around the time your warranty expires. I’m sure other ppl that work in the industry would agree that TM drivers consist, on average, around 80% of damaged products returned to store. Worst product in the industry last 4 years.
Hi Trottie, for drivers, TM can reduce total weight from multi material such as carbon crown, carbon face, titanium frame and etc and organize weight distribution to make CG lower in order to increase size of area of opportunity, am I understand it correctly?
How much is it ,does the ball go any further than last year without all the hype that goes with it its our longest straightest easiest driver ever well you know what I mean people. 😂
Not only will the new one cost 30% more but the one you bought last year will lose 50% of its value and the one you bought two years ago will lose 80% of its value. All this for what? Frankly not much. It’s getting more and more absurd. Morality buy the model from two years ago and keep the money for a coach if you need to go further and straighter.
Blah blah blah blah $ 900 cdn,,, nope ,,,, done with chasing ,, the price of golf equipment by the “big boys” is way out out control and there are great bits of gear available now for way less $$$ , thanks Taylormade
breathed this company for 2 decades and stayed because they set such a high standard. Buy the driver don't buy the driver, this info is simply there to help you through the process
They change drivers yearly just like Callaway , Cobra , Tour Edge , Ping and Titleist have a 2 year cycle , I don't know why people get mad at this, I look forward to the new products, Every car company has been doing this since they made cars and you lose way more money because on that than some golf product.

Trottie, what is the MOI in the LS model?
I'll be waiting for the Max (current gamer Qi10 max). If its' good enough for Nelly it's good enough for me.
Question for yall: if I have the Qi10 Max but I have the shaft that I like already (this would also go for the fairway woods and hybrids too), is the loft sleeve the same so I don't have to get a new shaft for it?
Yes, it is the same
Pretty unlikely much has changed in 12 months..
the 35 is likely to be very very similar to the 10
I wouldn’t bother making the change
All modern TM clubs have the same loft sleeve and are compatible with any shaft that has a TM sleeve. Been that way since 2015.
Great video Trottie
Why the smaller head for LS? I ask because it seems like all the LS drivers out there are smaller and why i still have my ping g/ls in the bag with a backup in the garage .
it's a 460cc head it's just shaped to be more appealing to the player who wants a sleek looking shape
@trottiegolf thanks that's good to know, the new pings are 440 and it's very noticeable. Might finally be time for a new driver.
So it's basically the same as the Qi10
It’s always interesting how no manufacturer ever does a head to head review with last years model. If they did, the BS is instantly exposed!
