My Town or City ( McMinnville, Oregon) Chevy Dealership just got two LT's. I love the seat pattern of the LT's. I will most likely wind up with one in the near future. Lets face it, they look good! Fun to drive! And dealerships cant keep them long! Hint, Hint ( affordable price)!!!!! Love the way they drive!!! And they look so great, compared to the previous trax's. I want one, with an extended warranty!!!!

Nice review. Just wish the Trax had more soft touch materials, on the doors & armrests. A rear seat armrest would be really great.

I just bought an LT this week and have no complaints about the console or armrest being to hard. I previously had a Maverick and while the armrest and console lid are not as soft as those were -- and they weren't much softer, they aren't uncomfortable to me at all.

I just got an LT this week and am quite pleased with it. While it's a touch slow off the line, it's still a spunky little thing and that torque is sufficient to pull you out of a corner so long as you're not expecting it to pull like an old big block. The seats are firm but comfortable. The ride is also a touch firm but very compliant over bumps. At highway speeds it's quite stable and smooth, and also quite quiet.
I traded in a Maverick for this and while I loved the uniqueness of the interior of it, I wasn't really comfortable. I'm more comfortable in the Trax, the seats feel better to me with a touch more bolstering. The look and feel of the interior also looks more upscale and of better quality -- but some of that is purely by the design differences. Sure, it's equally made mostly out of plastic, it has it's own quirckiness and looks more like something that would be fitted to a much more expensive car than one which costs below $25,000.
I spent a lot more on my Maverick, and while I liked it and will miss some aspects of it, especially the strength of the 2.0L engine; for thousands less I have every feature it had plus adaptive cruise, keyless entry and starting. The Trax also has a higher fuel economy rating, better sounding audio system, a real traditional shifter, better ride, and in daily traffic is just as adept at commuting. I also like the sound of the three cylinder engine better. The only negative I have to talk about is the infotainment system isn't as intuitive as that oft the Maverick, but I've had it less than a week so I need to play with it and give more time.

I like this vehicle, but I have concerns about the long-term durability of the wet timing belt. I've seen reviews of other Chevy cars that have this type of belt, like the Chevy Onix, and it seems they start to break around 50,000 miles.

The belt is designed for the environment it is in, breaking down shouldn't happen for a considerable longer period of time than that. Also, if it did breakdown and fail at that period of time, it would be under the powertrain warranty and a covered repair.
