Marcoh probably the best character off of steal and lockpicking alone for maso. Virtually unlimited bullets, access to a significant number of areas in any order you want, very potent in combat prowess, and he looks good.
@@themur880 The real gangster. Having both (access to) limb immunity but also being able to fight well without arms is insane. Also not to mention what you already mentioned. The run could have been at least 30 mins shorter if i didn't waste so much time on nothing.

Yeah imo overall its a lot better. You can steal 10 bullets off any levi iteration, and 15 off of his moonscorched version. On maso, that's 30 bullets from levi doppel (10 steal + 5 drop) and 15 stolen from levi moonscorched alone.
As someone who was dumb enough to try and start speedrunning devil may cry 3 with 0 actual skill when it comes to high end combos and completely new to speedrunning i can agree the worst enemy is setting up the timer at the start lmao

For some reason my marcoh cant do an extra turn even with 17 agi its only possible when i hit 22 agi by using two small amulet, any tips how to fix this?
Some enemies actually require that much speed, like the moon final boss. Other than that, are you sure that you're not suffering from some status debuff like heroin withdrawal?

Levi 100% easier. Starts with 125 MAX HP, 14 pistol ammo and gunslinger (turns pistol into another rifle, dismembers enemies on the overworld) and you can lose to Needles once to get rid of heroin addiction.
@@ledgeexe1935 Technically it could be an oversight. Heroin withdrawal is a temporary debuff that gets removed on death (duh), and losing to needles means you "die" before magically getting revived, but the debuff doesn't get re-applied.

Pickpocket (Steal as much as you can afford to, especially from gun/bayonet wielding enemies or magician types) Footwork (+2 agi, then coupled with a small things amulet you reach 17 agi, which gives you extra turns against most enemies) Defense (Perfect guard lets you ressist arm/leg cutting, and with extra turns you can keep your limbs safe while still attacking on ex turn) Escape (Escape plan) Luxury goods (Heroin+Pep pill)
I've already done the closest thing possible to a true genocide run (albeit EXTREMELY limited, no hexen, daan, kill literally everything that is killable directly by you) but still haven't yet finished editing it. I'll do that again when there's an actual ingame reason to do it.

Is "steal" more useful than the lockpicking? Always chose burglar for Marcoh cuz it opens up more rooms instead of relying on small keys.

Marcoh's fists do more damage & are more reliable than that. Only weapons like the Black steel or better ones are worth using over unarmed attacks.
At the Moonless fight why didn't you use Counter Stance and Bob And Weave at the beginning

are the apartments as big as they seem or are they mostly locked and the areas you visit here are the only areas actually available for exploration?
I skip most of the apartment since i know all the possible passwords. You can enter a lot of the rooms upstairs.
