The Saint Louis Rapid and Blitz is the 4th stage of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour. The 10-player tournament takes place in the St. Louis Chess Club from 10-14 August. The prize fund is $150,000, with $37,500 for 1st place. 7 tour regulars, including World Champion Magnus Carlsen, are joined by wildcards Leinier Dominguez, Yu Yangyi and Richard Rapport.
The rapid section on the first 3 days is a single round-robin with a time control of 25 minutes for all moves and a 10-second delay from move 1. The final 2 days are a blitz double round-robin, with 18 rounds of 5+3 blitz. Rapid games count double, with 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw. A 2-player tie for first will be decided by a 2-game rapid mini-match (10+5) and, if necessary, an Armageddon game (5 vs. 4). Official website: grandchesstour.org

Thanks a lot Mr Antonio Radic for fulfilling my request, I really enjoyed the analysis and I'm humbled by your gesture, My warm regards and well wishes to you and your family. Thank You Good Sir
You are an excellent suggester of games!
Hello sir, this was such a great suggestion of yours, as I am big fan of Ding. Tyvm
@@JestaKilla Thanks a lot
@@borismanev2353
Thanks
Herbdoulaye Yousef thank you
ding's king- not to confuse with king's ding
LOL!
Very sad to break the perfect number and be the 101st like😂🤣
king's ding-a-ling
HAHAHAHAH
You touch my shallalaa ... my ding ding dong
#suggestion Capablanca treybal in karlsbad 1929 when Capa won a 99.9% drawish position by playing the only moves allowing him to win.
Agadmator will be the first RUclipsr to ever coin toss in every video!
why does he do it? i dont understand
@@tommyk.3196 to choose which player to put on the thumbnail
I didn't know what else to do he's the master....
'Ding's King', it does have a nice ring to it 😁
What will be the Ding side castleing, O-O-O?
a nice 'ring'
#suggestion for a guy like me (who just wants to enjoy the show), I believe your videos of ~10 mins is nice and crisp. I know that you've already taken a poll for how long your videos should be, can you reconsider/re-take the polls if user engagement increases?🙂
I myself seem to watch more of your videos if they're between 10- 12mins. Not sure if others feel the same way.
Thanks for the amazing content!
I agree. Also, there is self-selection bias. I think the people most likely to answer his poll are also those who are most likely to want longer videos.
Great miniature but time for th good stuff:The Capablanca Saga!
@carlingtonme I am so with you! I love the Capa saga, but it's so hard to fully enjoy it when it's chopped up so much. I'll have to enjoy it as a playlist once it's completed. :)
I’m gaining insight on calculations and tactics watching and listening to your Chess Channel. I practice the games and lines you point out. A Great help in my improvements. Thanks
Nice game agadmator
Thanks
I welcome the 960 games. Go for it! Fabi vs Kasparov sounds fantastic.
3:21 -- Caruana's spidey-senses were out to lunch here, after Ding castled queen-side. I mean, look at what's going on: Black has connected rooks over the White king, a queen-bishop battery already poised, two other pieces within five squares of the White king, and all four king pawns ready to storm down. I immediately thought to myself, "You need to get rid of that e4 knight right *now*!" ...brought up the engine, and Ng5 is the top pick (forcing the e4 knight to retreat or exchange, as well as blocking g5).
3:49 -- Caruana now plays Ng5, but in the wrong way. With the pawns clearing, Black's rooks can project power. Caruana needs Black's pawns on the board, but immobile.
3:56 -- From here on, it's like watching Paul Morphy tear apart a N.N.
4:11 -- h4 won't help Fabi, as he's already -3.6 even with it, and sinking fast.
Lauran ding
You have covered a Fischer Random game - Where Grischuk beat Carlsen in 7 moves by castling.
Share link to that video please...
Yes, but Magnus was not checkmated only resigned upon loosing a Queen for a rook upon castlinc.
Dings king. LOL 😂😂😂🖒🖒. Love the channel man.
If you check that move using Alpha Zero which i just tried Black is Winning with 89% chance
Aside from Ivanchuk and Anand, Ding Liren is my favorite player! His games are never dull!

Like it... From Afghanistan
3:27 That's very nice knight.
Please cover Reti Alekhine (1925) #suggestion
It simply is one of the greatest attacking games of all time
Poor Fabi, he hasn't moved his queen at all!!
The name you blanked out was very short wonder which name it was🤔
It could also be "Fabi" which would be as long as "Ding"
Fabiano is often referred to as Fabi, so it wasn't a sure thing.
@@immischa4566 And I was only 7 hours late.
#suggestion Pls cover some attacking games in the Sicilian defense from both sides to understand the plans and strategies...Thanking you in advance
Excellent spotter of ideas that were missed by both players 😂😂
This game was an excellent suggestion!
6:46 it was in this position Medo resigned the game.
Odličan ti je kanal stari, keep it up!
I hope Ding wins the candidates and challenges Carlsen, I feel like they'd have a more exciting attacking match than Carlsen v Caruana and could actually beat him
Henry Thomas yeah I think ding will have the best chances vs Carlsen. ding and Carlsen played a match at faster time controls last time and Carlsen dominated ding. So I thought rapid and blitz would be dings weak point, but after this tournament I'm not sure if that's true anymore. Anyone of them can take games on s good day in rapid and blitz, which is why it's not good to decide classical world championship with..
Make it easy, buddy. Put both pictures on the thumbnail.
Sinquefield cup is about to start !!!
I love this channel from Philippines!

wow wow wow well played Ding!!!
Really amazing game thanks agadmator for introduce us from this game
You have not even watched it....
Bro, they are grandmasters and they known for their play. So, everyone knows game will be amazing.
All these GM's are amazing players but Ding Liren always seems to impress me.
Amazing all these new games
As a Caro-Kann player, I loved to see Ding crashing
Hahahaha the cheeky coin toss
another nice game perfectly presented... NICE!!!
Chess guy is awesome! # suggest
7:54 thats mate in 3 bro
Finally I have spotted a move that GM missed! What a great day
Same here buddy
08:45 --> "there are so many blitz games played, it's impossible to check all of them." :-)
#suggestion MIKHAIL TAL vs JACK MILLER. Extremely Beautiful game by TAL😍
Antonio did you do the coin flip for the thumbnail?🤔😁
Beautiful game
Can you show Caruana vs Karjakin? St. Louis blitz? Interesting endgame
Coreection, in that chess960 game that was covered by agadmator chess channel, Carlsen gave up after "unexpected by Magnus" castling by Grischuk's King
#suggestion plz recreate the video of Anand's immortal 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🤗🤗🤗
#Suggestion please make the saga of alekhine
That Charleston s.c. Firerainbow on Moses day 8/16/15 is 4 years old today!... Kumbaya!
So cool. Thanks
1:02 the "Sorry About that, Exchange Variation" opening 🤓
It is a nice ring with Ding's king.
Nice game
Fabi is basically an engine in classical, but doesn't seem to be very good at rapid or blitz.
ItsAllAboutGuitar he did beat Carlsen though
Still
Agreed. Nakamura said the same thing about Fabi in a podcast he was in called "Revisionist History" in the episode "Puzzle Rush". Very interesting. It goes into how people can be categorized as "Hares" or "Tortoises", where Hares are better at thinking faster and processing relevant data more efficiently whereas Tortoises are better at slower, more methodical and detail-oriented thinking. Highly recommend it if you're curious
@@niqwalshensemble9164 Everyone beat Carlsen in the tournament
Captain Nautilus still compared with 99.999% of the human population Fabi is “very good” at rapid and blitz. And didn’t Carlsen checkmate MVL, the number one rapid player? In this tournament?
Thank you.
Great haircut as often
#suggestion_ it would be awesome if you could analyze the game between Robert J. Fischer and Robert Byrne (Not Donald Byrne).
#suggestion
Vassily ivanchuk vs Parham maghsoodloo Leon Masters a really nice game
Caruana always takes material and priorities the exchange and I feel like this often costs him in the games you show
ohh this will be fun my current 2 favorite players
Just beautiful!
Please finish the Capablanca saga then cover what ever you want. Please I love it
4:32 😂😂
3:28 what a weird knight
Intuitively I would have gone with h4 to defend the knight. But in general I have problems moving the f pawn !!
Love you agad

#suggestion Ben Finegold vs Shakhriyar Mamedyarov PRO Leauge Group Stage 2017.
Damn....Ding is the real deal.
The Sinquefield Cup started yesterday....any nice games?
It was an opening ceremony
Judging by the length of the white out, I can predict who won.
Hi from Chile :D 🇨🇱
#suggestion_ surya shekar gunguly vs wei yi 16 movie miniature..theoretical blunder by
We want Capa saga and then Karpov or Alekhine saga,in my opinion Alekhine one of the top 5 players of all time and u dont show us too many games from him especially the match with Capa and then Euwe and the returning match with Euwe
And today is friday but for someone it is weekend as Agadmator wished us nice weekend.
Good game by Ding💯...

Since you said that everyone in the last round behind Levon won their games, it was already a spoiler that Liren won this game xD
Suggestions: Raahul Mullicks game in Abu Dhabi masters
Caruana looks like his computer got broken and he had to analize the middle game by himself!
this kind of position i get sometimes when im white and it ends in most of cases similiary to this
That's why Fabiano resign. He wanted his photo on thumbnail of agadmator.
Fabian corrana liren ding #suggest
#suggestion good luck with this one.. how about the first ever recorded chess game in history, in other words the oldest game that is known to finish every move. Probably no way of telling? Who knows
No need to hide the spoilers for this one, we can already figure out the result from the title with clues like "Caruana" and "Blitz"
ooof
Sorry, I don't get the clues. Appreciate if you could please enlighten me? Tks
McKley Bogdański:)
Good day for Caro-Kann thanks Mr Ding.

Magnus Carlsen vs Ehsan Ghaem Maghami - 2016 Chess Olympiad
If the coin lands and stay balanced on the narrow edge side, then please use the dog for the thumbnail.
Dammit Fabi get your shit together.
I like the coin toss idea. I see no reason why you can't share it with us though. Why could you just not have showed us the coin ( or just told us the result )
Something like " ok the coin is showing a head, that's why you'll see the player with the white peices in the thumbnail ... in this case Caruana "
