Great video! In my short experience with Sense 2, after less than a month of use, the battery is not lasting a full 24 hours. I am not using any of the high battery draining apps. returning the watch right away for this reason.
@Lexro and @innosanto Thank you for your replies. Indeed, there must have been something wrong with that one. They asked me to do a lot of stuff in the watch and at last the battery started to last longer.
My versa 3 has been buggy during high intensity excercise it often loses the ability to track heart rate. I have the choice of staying with the versa 3 or upgrading and getting half off the versa 4 or sense 2. Which of the three has best heart rate tracking?
I came to a conclusion, they take features away from watches so that they could sell new watches, Charge 4 has some features that charge 5 does not. Sense 2 has some features that sense 1 doesnt and sense 1 has some features that sense 2 does not, however its needed in order to sell sense 3? what else can one add to a sense 3? of course they might add third party apps again or perhaps music control or maybe a calculator lol
No those would be mistakes yhe good with fitbit is it does not cause distractions like third party apps do. They can continue same direction and increase sensors and health capabilities such as blood pressure sensor or blood glucose sensor in future.
As i am a watch guy, i really dont want to wear two watches..but thinking wear this on arm for workouts and sleep..anyone know if a band for that exists?
Great review. Do you know does the Sense 2 track your heart rate while swimming? I regularly swim up to 4km at a time and would like to use it to monitor my heart rate. Thanks in advance for any information
I just bought the watch 2 days ago and noticed it switched off during exercise. It switched off when I was doing 20 mins hiit just after 5 minutes, switched off during workout after 3 minutes, switched off during walk after 20 minutes whilst doing 40. Then I did 7 minutes hiit again to check, and this was recorded whole. I am no longer certain whether I should keep it or send it back? Would be most grateful for your feedback 😅
Personally I would send it back if you are having issues to get a refund. Googles conference is next month on the 4th October. So I would wait to see what they unveil, as if they do announce new Fitbits you will save some money on the Sense 2.
I would try resetting the device and make sure notifications are switched on in the app. Otherwise contact support as if you've just got it then you should be able to send it back.
I'm torn between upgrading to the Sense 2 or Versa 4, but after seeing this video, I'm debating the Sense? Is there a difference between the Sense, and Sense 2 other than that the 2 doesn't have 3rd party apps and Google assistant?
The sense 2 has faster software over the sense and no longer has the stainless steel option. Go with the sense 2 if you are going to use the extra health features otherwise stick with the versa 4. If you can find the sense at a great price then it's still a good option as the price difference between the sense and the sense 2 is not a lot
It has bigger battery, more exercise options, the button, continuous EDA tracking while sense has nightly option only, and will continuw to be supported by fitbit while sense will be discontinued support.
I am 63 years old but recently starting taking a beta-blocker to lower my heart rate as the anti-depressant I am on raises it significantly. With this I am no longer reaching my target heart rate for my age. My target heart rate now seems to be closer to 110 bpm and thus the FitBit is not registering my workouts correctly. Am I able to adjust settings for this issue?
I found this from Fitbit support. Tap on your profile picture on your mobile app Tap on Activity & Wellness Tap on Heart Settings Tap on Heart Rate Zones in the Exercise section Toggle Custom Max Heart Rate to ON Hopefully that helps.
Hi, I’ve had a look around and can’t find it so I wonder if anyone has a figure of just how bright the screen is ie how many nits or lumens it is. Thanks. Peter
the heart rate tracking is good and regarding the calorie tracking all watches use there own algorithym to calculate calories burned but its been on point
My dad has a heart condition. I want to get him a watch that can help monitor his stress and heart. Would you recommend a smartwatch, and if so, what kind. Do you know if Sense 2 will be of any use?
@@CarlosAlcala-qq2ip the only watch that does blood pressure (depending on the country you're in, check it) is the Galaxy Watch 4 series and 5 series. But it's not a medical device and it does not track your BP automatically.
Check the Fitbit app to see the last time your device synced. If it synced recently, it's likely within range of your phone. Take your phone to the area where you think you lost your device and try to sync. If your device syncs, it's nearby. Try using a Bluetooth locator app to help you find your device. For iPhone, try LightBlue Explorer. For Android, try Bluetooth Finder.
Does Sense 2 or other fitbits have an average pace when running a 5k. So as you run it tells you you are below pace or going too fast. This feature is available on apple and Garmin's but not sure about sense 2
Unfortunately, Fitbit stopped making progress from Versa and Sense point of view after Versa 2, to be polite. Missing functionality, no 3rd party apps and tiles changed to a list, and over-sensitive setup of time or options on the watch, and you can't turn off the screen witha button anymore. Not to mention other issues with, for example, setting up Fitbit/Google Pay. I bought Sense 2. It's a half-product and I wouldn't have it for free! It's so rubbish. If only I could have it with Versa 2 software, that would make it a great watch again. It doesn't feel like Fitbit do care anymore. If it doesn't change, Versa 2 is my last Fitbit product after 9 years of being a loyal user.
3rd party apps are only the music and google assistant. Maybe also the tile. But it has gained more fitness and stress stuff. Not many 3rd party apps is a benefit not a disadvantage. I changed from apple watch to fitbit for that reason , apple watch is causing several distractions.
Who f cFea a out exercise mixes. When I work out I work out. Don't have time playing with watch. All I want is my heart rate oxygen and would be great if they figure out either a separate device you can connect to or the watch doing it to measure blood pressure. All the rest is gimick crap you don't need. I also don't want my cell phone forward calls to the watch. Hell no. I want peace and even have my cell all texts on silent.
From what I see in this video, it seems like this device is just not very useful, snakeoil even. I got one for free, even then I will be returning it, because I do not consent to the data harvesting and it seems I can't use one without sending my health data to a cloud.

Can you turn sound up 3:43
Does it continuously monitor your heart rate or only ever so often?
Hey.
It has a really bad battery life when you use the GPS. Is there anyway to use the GPS on the phone and the pile etc from the Fitbit?
Good question.. I just ordered the versa 2 and was thinking the same thing..

Thanks the optical sensor does not track in swim mode because refractions from the water can impact the heart rate reading. Hope that helps

Its a great beginners watch as it covers all the basic fitness and health tracking features you will need.
What size battery

Haven't got the exact stats unfortunately, but its bright in daylight conditions
It has very good screen.
Does the gps work automatically on the sense 2 watch or do you have to manually activate it?
The Sense 2 has no GPS integrated. This is only possible if the smartphone is with you and can then be activated there in the Fitbit app.
@@janamour_13straight up lies. It does have integrated GPS. You dont need your phone.

VO2max is more accurate on fitbit than on apple watch.
Does the sense 2 give me the heart beat zone during my training?
Yes, it does. Just like Versa 4, etc.
Google owns Fitbit. Google Assistant was present on the Sense 1 and is not present on its successor, Sense 2. And this makes sense how? 💢
It's very strange, it's like Google wanted to keep those features for the pixel watch only.

a bit disappointed no talking about the pay wall premium service.
