Terrific video! Thanks a bunch.. I purchased a second hand saw that worked for all of 10 seconds, and with no option to get money back, etc. saw this - and works great. My first attempt of soldering - it appears to be working great. Will see how long this motor lasts. Thanks again!!
Hey , you got any idea what's causing my saw to cut off after a few seconds being turned on ? I guess it's either the trigger switch or motor ? Don't even get to put it into lumber it just cuts off and no it's not the battery
You were lucky that the motor you found came with the cog already on, the one I bought off eBay didn’t so I now have the task of removing the cog from the old motor and fitting it on the new motor 🥴
notice... there is NO current limiter... that's why the motor burned... that is why they are so CHEAP... that is why they are JUNKS... during the holidays you can buy a Dewalt for about the same price... so is it worth it??? even Hercules is better than this...
My saw is currently disassembled. I should have looked for this video first.
Thanks for posting this vid.

Glad it helped and thanks for watching!
Was looking for something on a motor from a corded saw but this was still interesting. Surprised it hasn't gotten around more.

I got mine at ereplacementparts.com. Back in 2020 it was only 25 including shipping, and came with the gear installed
gracias buen trabajo. dios lo bendiga
A true Ryobi fan uses the correct pronunciation: REE-OH-BEE.
po-tat-o, po-tot-o
Excelent video!! Where did you get the motor? My ryobi smoked and like you I kept on cutting, n stop working. 25 bucks cheaper than buying a new saw.
Sorry for the delay in respsonding, busy week :) www.ereplacementparts.com/
