    I love that bullet, I use them in 38spl and 357mag, then I resize them to .356" and shoot them in my 9mm's and Super 38. I also powder coat and I've found that cast from scrap lead I can push them over 1900fps out of my 20" barreled Rossi lever gun with big charges of H110 if I need to with NO leading. Powder coating is a game changer and clean up is a few passes with a brass brush and swab out with a little Hoppes.

      This is also one of my favorite bullets, and was my first mold. I got it for dual purpose of 38spl and sized 356 for 9mm like you said. Powder coating has changed the game entirely, I've also ran range scrap lead up around 2k fps with no leading. Thanks for stopping by and the comment👍🇺🇸👊

    H110 is the hot sauce on .357 ribs! 😋

    I don’t even reload my own ammo. Had my dads buddy reload 357,30-06 and 6.5 creedmoor for me and after testing the 357 hand loads in my ruger 77 I’ve realized his recipe is way better than factory ammo. I’ve been burning thru money all these years when I could’ve had him reload a bunch for me for only $5 a box if I bring everything to him😂

      It's a fun hobby and there are benefits to be had. Not sure about money savings, but definitely the ability to tailor your ammo to your guns 🇺🇸👍👊

    I use Bullseye for my 357 magnum . It's a fast burn powder for my 2 " snubby barrel . I get 1,000 fps with a 158 gr bullet .

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  3 года назад

      I've never used any Bullseye, but it is on the list to try. Maybe some day when things are more available and we can pick and choose what we want, rather than just grab what's available!

    Those 125gr were round nose? They looked like my Lee 358-125-RF... 🤔
    But I'm using my phone to watch, and sometimes it's difficult to see.
    I've only just begun to use AA #5, so I haven't gotten much data on 357 loads, yet. Digging the 357 program 👍🇺🇸

      You're absolutely correct, they are indeed FLAT and not ROUND nose! Good catch

    Soooo, what's the point of powder coating?

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  2 года назад

      It acts as a jacket to prevent leading.

      That's what I thought, just never saw it in video before. Doesn't it leave its own fouling residue build up?

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  2 года назад

      It does not. Just your normal carbon and gun powder to clean up afterwards.
