This was one of the first solos I ever wanted to transcribe. It was difficult to tackle on violin for a few reasons, the biggest being that my lowest string is a C, but the solo needs to hit a low B. I tried using a momentary pitch shifter on my whammy, but it didn't really work well. I had to record the solo and pitch down the C to a B in post. I guess it's time for a 6 - string!
Recorded on my Yamaha EV 5- string with effects from Line 6 Helix Native software.

It’s so very impressive that she can make her violin sound like a guitar. Buy equally brilliant that David Guilmour can make his guitar sound like a violin. Two very gifted musicians here.

So far every video I've seen from Nina D has been spectacular.
I was 16 when The Wall was released. This song has been with me my entire adult life. Through good times and bad, The Wall has been with me. If somebody had asked me if I wanted to hear a violin cover of Comfortably Numb I would have said, "Hell No". And I would have been wrong.

I agree, your style is unbelievable, as a guitar player myself, and fully understand the intricacies of that solo, I believe there are few that can do the solo that much justice, much less on a fretless instrument that probably shouldnt even have the capabilities of achieving such sounds. And after my incoherent rambling, you absolutely nailed it, and no doubt could fill in for David himself if need be. Kudos

I had the privilege of going to The Wall concert that Roger Waters put on in ATL back in 2010. The best experience ever since I was a baby when Numb first come out. Gilmore only played at one concert, and that was in London I believe. You could’ve stood in for Carin. 🙌😎🎧
