I waited tables in Fort Lauderdale on the beach. I look up from the dishes in my hand with my tie on. It's G. E. Smith sitting there looking at me. I say to him. "Your the guitar player from Saturday Night Live!!!!!" I was totally unprofessional. And he was the coolest guy ever, and still is. I knew he was going to be so nice, that I just did not care. I said to him, "You are a great, great performer, and great guy." It was a good memory. He let me have that.
Thats one of the more mild Replacements stories.

This guy is smooooooth. Always loved G.E. Smith. SUPER tasty player. His interviewing "style" is classic. Deft storyteller.
Love Roxy Music. Such a nice sound.
I wish I could be one of his grandchildren to listen to all his stories of old.
Just love the way he articulates.
Always love GE’s stories, but I love his playing more.
Great Stories! xx
Music to the ears of this 71 year old Miley Cyrus fan........
