- Hey everyone! In this video I'll be going through some light kitbashing / converting ideas and techniques for you to add that Tome Keepers flavour to all your Space Marines. This Chapter as the potential to look really cool if you can get hold of all the bits and pieces you'd need to give them that unique aesthetic.

I built the Ancient from White Dwarf before. He's chilling in my Ultramarines successor Army.

I don't know why, but I feel that Tome Keepers generally have the best Chapter Symbol created by Games Workshop. For this reason, I obtained a couple of decals from the White Dwarf magazine (and some pre-heresy Word Bearers decals for contrast) that I will use for my homebrew Space Marines Chapter. There Primaris, heresy models and old Space Marines will live together!
Mixing the Word Bearers decals is a pretty smart move!

If you want more lore they had a bunch of stuff in White Dwarf, plus some transfer sheets too.
I managed to get the transfer but I do need to read up more.

3d printing is 100% the way to go to get the books. Sourcing them from official kits would be a pain in the ass
You could also make them from plasticard and greensuff, but that seams like it would get old fast
Yeah making books yourself for an entire army would be crazy!

I have a question as a newbie. So you put an axe on this dude. Would your opponents make you find rules for an axe on a space marine or?
How does that work?
Firstly, welcome to 40k! Haha
I believe in the current edition, Power weapons generally have the same profile. So you can put a sword, axe etc. And the profile just says "Power weapon"
But previously, most people and place you play wouldn't have a problem with you saying the axe has the profile of a sword.

Hi, I've recently discovered your channel and I've really been enjoying your kitbashes. I am new to 40k and I have chosen Deathwatch as my army of choice. What is your take on using Sanguiniary guard models and turn them into some kind of Vanguard Vetean team member.

I don't see why not. In the lore, I doubt the Sanguinary Guard would join the Deathwatch. But the rule of cool is always important. Maybe it's just a normal marine that's representing his chapter and the pride he has for his Primarch. Plus, once it's painted black, it won't stand out as much.
Deathwatch are the perfect army to use any models you like!
